Laundry Cat

I have found a new place to hide and relax! I used to go into the back of Her closet and hide, but I got in trouble for leaving hair all over Her clothes, so I had to find a new place. Here is the way Their closet is. There is one big room, which is the closet. There are two doors. One is His side, where everything is neat, and sorted by color, and all the shoes are on shelves. The other door goes to Her side, which is not sorted at all, although She claims She has it organized. (snerk) In the middle, there is another place to hang clothes, with half for Her, and half for Him. Under there is a basket where They put Their clothes that need to go into the machine that washes clothes. They call it a laundry basket. Can you guess where I go to hide, now?If you guessed laundry basket, you would be right!The funny part is when They don't know I'm in there, and someone drops clothes into the basket and they land on me. When They hear me laughing, They see what just happened. Besides, I like to be on their clothes, especially when They are not home.
This week He is taking His mother to three different doctors, because that's what she likes to do. If you have a son like that, you are very lucky. She wouldn't take her, I guarantee.
It is quite cold today, so I believe a little snuggle is in order. Excuse me while I go and find Her. Poodle Tip (get it?)

More Sorting

Today He and She got a lot accomplished. They were going to go to the place where She had Her birthday, because there was a craft show and sale, but instead They said let's stay home and get some things done around here! They both had some temptations of things to do with friends, but She said if I stop, I will not go back to accomplishing. She said that is the trouble with temptations. They keep you from doing your jobs! Of course, when She sat down to have some coffee-the-drink and a little lunch, and a certain cat (ahem) went to sleep on Her arm - well, She had to stay there until I woke up!
Did you ever feel sad and happy at the same time? Well, that's how She feels about Her opera girl. That girl has been visiting Eddie, very VERY far away, and now will be coming back to her home. While She is glad the opera girl is going to be home, She is sorry that she had to leave such a good time.
But mostly, She is happy. She is planning to see Smudge's Mom this week, and Mable's Mom and Deena's Mom. She sure loves Her friends. And She really misses Her Mazie. But mostly, She is happy. I'll go and have a snack now. Oh revwar.

Cats Get Ready

Now that Thanksgiving is over, we have to help Her get ready for Christmas. Do you know what? She bought lots of things ever since Christmas was over last year, and now She has to remember to put it in the right bag. I don't know if other people do this, but She puts presents in a bag. It is the kind of bag that you can use at the store, so it is not wasteful. Since She and He get lots of presents for one person, instead of one big present, you have to pay attention to all the things in your bag at once, then - no more presents from Them. You remember that She gets about a thousand catalogs, don't you? Well, She sees something that someone will like, and She hopes it will tickle them pink (I still don't know what that really means, except it is happy.). Oh, She doesn't get stuff just to fill the bag. It has to be something that means something. Sometimes people ask Her what She wants for a present, and She says something consumable. What? I said. She said it means things that can be used up, like honey or jam. But She also thinks pictures are a treasure. I happen to know She has pictures of things and people all over the place. It is partly why She doesn't get Her dusting done! I help Her find things in Her gift closet. I wonder what They will get me. Well, Toodle Pip for now.

Still Thankful

This is the day after Thanksgiving, and She said we had better stay home. Kasey and I like to have Them at home, so today we played and ate kibbles and got snuggles and skritches and pets. Cleo is still here, but her Mom has to go to work, so she will probably go home tonight. Since Cleo has been here, all she has eaten are treats and cat food. She hasn't touched the nice food her Mom brought. I don't mind telling you, She is worried about Cleo. It is as hard for Cleo to stand up as it is for Her, sometimes. and Cleo has not run around all that much.
Anyway, it is kind of cold today, so She put the furnace on for the first time in about 8 months. She says there is nothing like hot soup on a day like this, so She is making some nice soup out of vegetables, and He will love that.
One of Her favorite girls is over in England, seeing Eddie, and she sent Her lots of pictures from his last night show. That surely did tickle Her pink. She is still thankful for all Her girls and boys and grandchildren!
Kasey and I are still thankful, too. Now I will get on the bed, where He is under the blanket, and I will have a little rest, myself. Cheery-Bye.

Thankful Cats

Today, Kasey and I are very thankful cats. We are thankful for Him and Her, because they rescued us from cages at the espeeceeay and take good care of us. We are grateful for all our cat friends and their Moms and Dads. We are thankful for SOME dog friends, like Cleo and Mable and Deena and Dudley and Apache and their families, and we are thankful for the birds in our back yard. They make us laugh when they fight over the seeds! We are thankful for TV, because that gives us laps to snooze on. I am thankful that She made turkey for Herself and for me. She fixed lots of nice things for Him, too, except no turkey.
You know that She has lots of computer friends, too, don't you? Well lots of them sent good wishes and lots of pictures of Eddie, so She was glad. She says She was right chuffed. That is Eddie-talk.
He went to the movies to see some picture that She didn't care about. She is glad that He wants to do interesting things. It is good for His thinking.
Here is something funny: She got presents for everyone, but now She can't find them all! It makes me laugh to watch her searching in the gift-closet. Didn't I tell you this would happen? Well, I am going into Her closet now. It is very snug and safe. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. I am a thankful guy.

Cleo and Cats

Our cousin, Cleo - who is a dog - has come to spend Thanksgiving with us. We are not afraid of Cleo, but we keep our guard up, just because it is what cats do. Mostly, Cleo just rests, usually by Her. Kasey will jump right over Cleo to get her treats, and Cleo doesn't even care. If a strange (to Cleo) cat is out there, Cleo will bark at him or her, but mostly, she doesn't bark, she just rests, or plays with her toys. One thing that He did was put our food and litter boxes in Their room, so we can make choice about whether to play with Cleo or not. Life would be easier for everyone, if we all could make choices like that.
This evening, She is going to meet with Her beloved Crones, although many of them are busy for Thanksgiving, which is tomorrow. It doesn't bother Her. She loves all Her Crones, and whoever is there, She will be glad.
I believe I will go and join Kasey and Him, who are having a nap. Tomorrow I will tell you some of the things I am thankful for. Don't eat too much, or if you do, find some Alka Seltzer, like She does! Good night.

Questions and Company

The first thing She did today was to go and see Her thinking people where they talk about Big Questions. They were talking about what will happen if the future. It was more of a supposing than knowing, because so many things have happened that no one kenw were going to happen - like phones that take pictures and like that. It was such a good talk that She didn't come home until later than usual, but She was quite pumped up about the thinking.
Then, Katy came over from next door and played with us until her mom came home. She was haaving fun with our toys, which we shared with her like good cats do. Of course, Kasey hissed at Katy, because that's the way Kasey is, but she didn't fight with Katy, and she let Katy play with her beloved fish-toy. It was fun to have Katy here. And tomorrow, we are going to get more company. Cleo is coming to have Thanksgiving with us while her Mom and Dad go far away to see Cleo's girls. We can always go into the bedroom if Cleo scares us, but mostly she just plays and goes outside. I wonder if she will eat our food this time.
I will rest up, now, from all the fun I had today. More fun tomorrow! Toodles.

Autumn Cat

It is very pretty outside today. Yesterday, too. This is what they call Autumn. She says they sometimes call it fall, because the leaves fall, but our trees are still full of leaves. Where we live, it doesn't get cold and snow, She really likes that. When She saw the cupcakes that Smudge'sMom made, She said how clever S'sM was to make them in Autumn colors to match the decorations. For a long time, She was very particular that everything would match. She isn't that fussy now, but She still likes when it happens. When it is Autumn, it gets dark earlier, and They have sweaters. Kasey and I wear the same clothes all the time. There is something cozy about Autumn, though.
Today for lunch She had left-over cheese. Oh, and of course She had some cupcakes as well. He can't eat the cheese, because it is not made of vegetables, so She and I have to take care of that. What is good luck for Him is that She still has a lot of vegetables and a little bit of fruit left over.
Someone was supposed to come today and talk to Them about His mother and the place where she lives. I guess the doctor thinks that His mother's thinking is so mixed up that she may need to move. Here's what She says. Just so she doesn't come here! I don't think She cares for His mother.
I must go and see if there is any cheese for Autumn cats right now. Si-o-norra.

Hiding Cat

Today was the day His and Her friend, Betsy, came to visit, and a lot of friends came over. They brought nice things to eat, and She had enough soda. There were plenty of vegetables for him to eat, and lots of cheese. Mmmm -- We love cheese! Smudge's Mom made cupcakes and Mable's mom brought some other sweet stuff, which made Her eyes light up. When they left to go home. they left all the sweet things. She is tickled pink! Everyone was nice and comfy. Kasey went out to check on everything, and she even let some people pet her! I did not go out at all, even though She called me a few times. I can't help it, I am scared of new people. I should not be, but Tori-Tzu's Mom said it was OK, and people shouldn't say shouldn't.
Everyone was so happy to see Betsy and her husband. Betsy said she didn't feel like she said goodbye properly when she moved far away, so this was a chance to hug everyone. It was all nice!
What a happy day!
That cheese looks kind of good. I will go and make a hungry face, and She will give me some, I bet.

Not Three Cats

Today Katy-next-door was going to come over and play with us, but her mom decided not to bring her, because of the rain, so there are only two cats here. It is one of those rainy days when you don't feel like playing, anyway. I just got a few snuggles and went back to bed. Today I chose His pillow to nap on, while Kasey stayed on her blue blanket. Kasey did go and interrupt Her while She was computering. What do you want, Kasey, sez She. As if She didn't know that Kasey wanted those Smudge-treats that She bought for her.Kasey has a way of sniffling you so that she is as close as can be, without touching you. She was giving those kinds of sniffles to Her. It was kind of a game, because She finally gave Kasey some treats, and Kasey jumped down. That little cat didn't even purr! I always purr when He or She does something nice for me, Remember, She says I am a purr factory!
It is spaghetti day today, so He is especially glad of that. Then they are going to watch a movie, which gives me a lap to snooze on. Two cats are going to be nice and cozy!
I have to watch out the door now, while She goes and gets the mail. More catalogs, I bet! Toodles.

Celebration Days

There is something in the air these days, and I think it is because Miss Betsy is coming over on Sunday, then Her calendar is busy next week, with writing all over it. In about a week, She says, we will be in full holiday mode. That means Abby's Dad, who is Her brother, will have a birthday, then a nice dinner happens, and before you know it, it will be time for presents! Everyone laughed at Her when She stated shopping while it was still hot weather, but now She doesn't have to go out and get in crowds. I'll bet you a spoonful of kibbles, though, that He and She will be rushing around at the last minute, making the presents seem nice.
One thing that needs to get better is Her hand. When She went into the laundry room, she held on to the side of the door, and it swung closed on Her hand. Now it is all black and blue and red. He is worried, but She just laughs. People have hands that are easy to bruise, She said. You are lucky you have paws, Coffs!
Well, She is making vegetable soup for His supper, and He is tickled pink. He remembers that tomorrow is spaghetti day, too! It makes Him smile, and She likes that.
I think I will go join Her in the kitchen in case She drops something that needs to be stalked. Chow.

Oh, My!

If my face were not the color of coffee with cream in it, it would surely be red! Do you know what I did? I put Thursday on my story yesterday, and it was really Wednesday! If She had done that, She would have said well I'm old, and old people get mixed up. But that won't work for me. I am a young cat, and I rarely forget things. In fact I remember too much, like when I didn't live here, and no one took good care of me. It makes me scared, sometimes. But this time I was just distracted. That means I was trying to think of two things at once. That doesn't work when you are writing your story. It was probably Kasey's fault for sniffling me while I was trying to write!
Well, today Kasey is on her blue blanket, so I am paying attention.
I know why Kasey likes that blanket. You see, She has a warm robe that is made out of the same stuff, and I got up on Her this morning and went to sleep on Her arm that was in the cozy robe. She was trying to do things, but She didn't want to disturb me. She called to Him to take a picture, but he didn't answer. Probably HE was distracted today! Well, you can imagine what I looked like - asleep on her arm.
We are doing the dusting now, and I must go and help. It IS Thursday today, you know. TTYL

Thursday Adventures

Maybe they aren't what you would think of as adventures, but around here, things are kind of lively. First, I missed my butter because I was chasing Kasey and endid up in the bathtub. He had to come and get me out. Then She took the things to the place where they give them to poor people, After that, She went to get some things for Sunday's visitors, and She got a LOT of sodas. These people will have good luck if they are thirsty! She brought home a salad but it had onions in it. She tried to sort them all out for Him, but some were mixed up with meat, and He only eats vegetables, so She was stuck with the onion. Eew. She was on the phone a lot and was talking business to some guy. It must have been about money, because She was very serious.
She visited with Her email friends, and found out Her email name was up during Eddie's show in England! It made her giggle.
It is sure nice to have plenty to eat. Katy's husband came by and He put out some kibbles for him. You should have seen that cat gobble them down. I would not like to be that hungry. For dinner, She is going to have nachos with Mable's Mom. He and Kasey and I will watch TV. I better go now. Addy-ose.

Cst Hair

I was kind of in trouble. Here's what happened. When I want to be all by myself, or if it is thundering, or when Cleo is here, I like to go into Her side of the closet and curl up under Her clothes. I feel as if that's kind of clever of me, don't you? Well, today, when She was folding up clothes for the poor people, She came upon a black skirt, way at the back - the last skirt in there. When She saw it was all covered in cat hair, She guessed that it was my hair, because it was the color of coffee with cream in it. Oh, Coffee, She said. I can't give a skirt like this to the poor people! I felt kind of sad, because I didn't know I was leaving hair on it! Then She started to laugh, and showed Him. He said He would wash it for Her, and the problem was over. She gave me pets so I wouldn't feel bad. It didn't stop me from wondering why She was working in Her closet when She is having company on Sunday, and there is a lot of work to do to make things look nice, but I decided not to say anything.
That cute little Katy is in our back yard again. I think she knows He feeds the birds, and Katy believes she can catch a bird. She is mistaken, I happen to know. Sorry about the hair, but hey, I'm a cat! Bye.

Odd Kind of Work

I was much happier today, and only needed a few pets and one snuggle during the day. It is a good thing, because She was telling me how busy She is. Most of Her being busy was at Her computer. It seems as if She wants to be sure everyone knows that Her friend Betsy will be here on Sunday. Then She had to sort out who was doing what. You would think that would be enough, but She had to check with everyone about Her Crones' holiday lunch. Or should it be brunch? So emails were coming and going until She had to stop and put things in boxes to take to the place where they help poor people. She says we have to share with people who aren't as lucky as we are. Do you know there are some people who can't even get food or toys for their cats! He and She make sure Kasey and I always have food. They give us treats and toys, but mainly we chew the toys off the strings. We like to play with boxes and things on the floor that need to be stalked! We are glad we are not poor!
She was also thinking a lot about LW, because she was having her scans today. We are all waiting to hear what the scans show. She says He and She are rooting for NED. I'll let you know, but keep sending good energy to LW.
Have to go look out the window now. Katy-next-door is in our back yard. Ta ta for now.

Pets and Peeves

For some reason, today I need lots of pets. I have climbed up for pets about 20 times, and at first She thought I wanted water in my bowl, or some food. All I wanted was pets. Some days you need more pets than others, as well you know!
But I did NOT want Her to go out for coffee-the-drink with Mables'sMom. Can't She just stay here and play with Her cats? I went and got into Kasey's in-box, just to show Her I wanted to be close, but Kasey jumped up there and tried to sniffle me all over! It is Kasey's way of saying get out of my in-box!
Her favorite thing today was that LW'sDad came over, and they had a lot of fun. They talked about some important business, but She was so glad he came over that She felt happy. Except that She didn't have any cookies to give him. There WAS coffee-the-drink, though, which was not a surprise for LW's Dad.
In one week Her friend Betsy is coming from far away, and all the Crones can tell her how glad they are that she came to visit. Maybe Her friends won't notice that the house is a mess. That's why She loves them! I'm off for a snack now. TTYL

Knackered She

What a great day She has had! But She did more walking than usual, and She told Him that sitting down never felt so good! You see, She collected Apache's Girl from where she had lunch, but A'sG had forgotten the present for the party. She and A'sG went back to her house to get the package. Then, they rode to a big school where A'sG had to meet some people and watch some robots. I think I know what they are. Anyway, they walked all over that school, and finally back to the car. A's G was a darling, and very polite, so She was willing to do all that walking. Then they went to the party, and She turned Apache's Girl over to another good friend. It was fun for Her, because She got to see LW'sMom, Cleo's Mom and the lady from the thinking club, as well as lots of other nice people. The party lasted a long time, and She ate dinner there, so........No spaghetti tonight! She did promise Him that there would be spaghetti tomorrow, so He was OK with that. So now She is knackered and we all know what that means! She will be happy to sit in Her chair with a lonesome cat on Her lap. That works for me. (snerk)

Frantic Friday

As it so happens, She used to have a cat named Friday. She told me today that when She used to go to work, She liked Fridays ALMOST as much as coffee-the-drink. Anyway, we were up early today, because He had to go somewhere, and She could have gone back to bed, but She said She might as well get some things done. She needs to be ready for tomorrow, when She takes Apache's Girl a few places. She really likes that girl, who is as old as Mazie, but much taller.
The 2 of them are going to a party for a new baby that is not born yet. She had to wrap the presents and figure out how to keep it closed, since She wrapped it in a blanket. She doesn't like to waste paper on wrapping presents.
Beside that, she was on the phone and on the computer doing some work. Of course, Kasey interrupted Her to get treats. Not like ME. I only got up there to give Her snuggles and let Her brush me. I know better than to interrupt.
She said She was glad that LW'sMom got an apology from the school where they made a mistake. It is kind of sad that people think She is fussy about some things, but She knew LW's Mom would be just as fussy. That makes Her smile.
He was gone all day taking some kind of tests, and now He is home, so I will go rub on His legs to welcome Him back. So Long for now.

Thoughts on Thursday

Finally She and Katy's Mom got all the papers done for Katy's Boy's school. They must have answered a million questions! I'm sure glad I don't have to go to school. Now they are done, and they could get on with their day. For instance, She went to a store and got a present for the new little baby that is coming, and She and Apache's girl are going to see their friend's presents and have some good food. She promises not to eat too much. She says the new baby is going to be a boy. so She got him a baby-tuxedo for New Year's Eve. She thought that was cute.
One thing He did was have His mother's phone fixed, so she called 3 or 4 times today. It's your own fault, She told Him, for being a good son!
She seemed to be studying a lot of things today. She has ideas to tell to LW's Daddy when he comes to see Them on Sunday. Also, She had to find maps so She knows where to take Apache's girl on Saturday before the party for the new baby. Apache's Mom and their Older girl are going far away to look at a college, so She feels lucky that She can spend some time with the little sister.
I'm going to look out the window now, because Katy's husband is in our yard. I will make a mean face at him! Check back on the party report on Saturday. Oh-ree-vwar

Too Much Lunch!

It was a regular day, with everyone feeling good. I had my butter, Kasey had her treats, and She had Her bagel. In fact, She actually got some things done. When it was time for lunch, She went away to have lunch with Her beloved Crones. The place where She went was not far from our house, and She was very glad to see the people who came. At the place where they went you could take your plate and get any of the food they had. You didn't have to decide what you wanted. She had a lot of things on Her plate, and thought She would go back to get some more, but She was full when she ate the nice meat and vegetables. She could have stopped there, but She saw all the desserts they had, and got some of those - even some ice cream! She was groaning when She got home! I ate too much, she kept saying! She just had some time to work on Katy's Boy's papers, and then She said She wanted an Alka Seltzer. Do you know what that is? I think it is something to drink so that your tummy doesn't feel so full. I wish they had that for cats. Now, all She wants to do is sit in Her chair and relax. Good for making a lap for me! She told Him they will go back there next month. I wonder if She learned Her lesson.
I have to go check out the new box that Kasey jumps in and out of. Chow, everybody.

Busy Cats

We were busy today, helping with the to-do list. After treats and butter, She checked her emails and got dressed and went out the door. We had to help Him, because He was cleaning things up while She was gone. Then He had to go to His school, and She was back with kitchen things to do.
While She was gone, She had new red paint on Her toes, so I had to stalk them for awhile. She also got some new things to eat. Since He eats His vegetables, She tries to find things that they can have together, besides spaghetti. Did you know they make soup out of just vegetables for people like Him? She got some of those things.
When She came home, She went to get the mail, and Katy's husband came over and asked for some kibbles. When She didn't hurry, he hissed at Her. She told him that if he kept doing that, he wouldn't get any more kibbles from Her! Of course She gave him some today, and he didn't hiss again. They feel sorry, because he is a hungry cat.
Katy's Mom came over, and they were filling out a big stack of papers so the school will know how to help Katy's Boy. It makes us all happy that She can help with that. She wants all children and cats to have the right kind of help. That is lucky for Kasey and me! But, of course I am knackered now, so I'll have a little nap. Addy-ose for now.

Sorting Cats

Today we had to sort out things from the gift closet. I guess She has gotten so many presents that She has forgotten who gets what. On top of that, She got about a dozen catalogs today. I heard Her tell Him that She is sick of Christmas and it's not even Thanksgiving yet! But She gets tickled pink when She thinks of how funny the presents are! Oh, some of the things are serious, but mostly they are to make people and dogs and cats smile. So Kasey and I helped Her sort things today. Kasey mostly bothered Her for treats. Kasey is being nice to Her just to get treats, and I think that is kind of rude, because we all know Kasey doesn't care.
In a few days, She is going to have lunch with Her beloved Crones. They are going to a different place to try it out. She will be anxious to see if everyone likes it. If so, fine. If not, well, they will try another place.
Another thing She wants to do is to see how the meeting went with LW's Mom and the people who need to see what a smart minister she is. The meeting was so very far away. It is where She is going to see her beloved Eddie after Christmas. She says there is no doubt the people will love LW's Mom, so She will expect a report.
Well, the sorting is over for today, so I will go see if anything needs to be stalked. Toodles.

A Quiet Day

When She woke up, She was expecting a very different day than the one She had. After She read Her paper and gave treats and butter to Kasey and me, She went to check her computer to see if there were any messages. It turns out that the plan She had to go to visit some dear kids along with Mable's Mom was changed. The kids' parents didn't need Her help. Then She found out Mable's Mom had a terrible time last night. She was supposed to have someone check on how she acted while she was asleep. She went to a doctor far away where Mazie used to live, and the doc had forgotten to tell them about the plan! They couldn't do the checking! Mable's Mom was so upset that she hardly slept at all! Well, then She read a message from Smudge's Mom. Our Uncle Jack, who has been sick, has died. Even though Jack was a very old cat, it was hard to decide to let him go to sleep in peace, and Smudge's Mom and Dad were very brave to decide that. Smudge's Mom says to remember Uncle Jack when he was strong and healthy, and not when he was sick. After those messages, She was relieved to stay home and have a quiet day. Kasey and I were on hand to give Her extra snuggles today.
I must admit, Kasey even let Her pet her. It was that kind of day. Bye for now.

Knackered Cats

Yes, we have had an active day today. Kasey and I had to play chase for quite awhile because it really made Her laugh. Look at how they play together, She said to Him. You would never know they love each other. What makes Her think we love each other is just Her wishful thinking. I think Kasey is rude, and Kasey thinks I am not very clever. Of course Kasey is wrong, but - well - no sense arguing with Kasey. Then I had to stalk a red thing after it fell on the floor. I caught it, and worked terribly hard to kill it, but it kept sliding away. It was a twisty thing from off a plastic bag. You know how those things are. He finally picked it up and put it in the trash. That means I won!
One other thing that wore me out was thinking about our Uncle Jack, who is still sick. I am sending energy to him, and so are He and She. Get better Jack. We love you. And Smudge still needs to learn things from you.
This is spaghetti day. He checked with Her about that first thing. In the meantime, She had shrimp for lunch, and that made me purr. I got my own shrimp, which I had to stalk before I could eat it. So you can see why I need a little nap. Chow for now.

Friday Cats

Do you know what She says? She says TJMIF. No one knows what She means by that unless they are Her Eddie People. Her beloved Eddie says god sounds like James Mason, so that's how She thinks about god. And Her dear friend, Juliette's Mom, who just died, always said she believed in a small-g god, so that's what She believes in.Some people are not very happy with the way She thinks about god, but She believes in being a nice friend, helping others, and giving treats and pets to Her cats. For me, I think that is OK.
The men came today to check on the furnace before the weather gets too cold. He said they were coming Saturday, but they came today, so She told them they had better not find anything that cost a lot of money to fix. Usually, She is nice, but She gets very mean with these people.
Today they said They needed to fix something, and She said She would talk to Him about it, but She thinks it is a scam. That means they are making stuff up to make money. She says we need a second opinion. Well, OK. I think it's a scam, too. So it is settled.
She got two good things in the mail today. A new Eddie DVD, and a CD about a sweet girl She knows from New York. What a lucky day for us! TJMIF! TTYL

A Singing Day

Today She woke up singing! For one thing, Her NYC-singer-Grandkid sent Her some pictures and they had a chat about that, But mostly She was excited, because She was going to meet Apache's Mom for coffee-the-drink! She just loves Apache's mom and Dad and their girls and boy! It made Her feel wonderful, and do you know what She told Him? She said Apache's Mom bought Her a gingerbread bagel! I have never heard of such a thing! How wonderful it must have been!
Then, She went to a store where She had a little paper that said She would get everything She bought for less money. That is the kind of adventure that She sings about! She was very pleased with Her good luck, and She was all treats and pets for us. I know a secret, but don't tell Kasey. I saw two packets of Smudge-treats when She was putting things away. Oh, Kasey will dance about that. Here's the bad news: Kasey still doesn't want pets from Her. It is lucky that I am here to give Her something to do with Her extra pets. I would not give all those treats to Kasey, myself. I think Kasey is rude.
I am going to wait until She is through fixing dinner, and then I will go sit on Her lap. If
She happens to give me a snack, well, I guess I deserve it. TaTa for now.

The Coffster Abides

Yes, I am in a good position right now. You see, Kasey has gone a little nutso about her new treats. Right now, Kasey's favorite friend is our cousin Smudge. It is Smudge's treats that have Kasey addicted, and she spend most of her time looking for Her to give her some treats. It has gotten so Kasey doesn't care so much for her old treats, and He feels kind of sad that she runs to Her desk or the inbox to cry for the Smudge-treats. I'll keep you up to date on this development. Meanwhile, I'M the normal one! (snerk)
This afternoon, She went to visit at Katy's Boy's school to help them find out if he needs more help. She thinks that the school should give more help to Katy's Boy, and that takes a lot of meetings! While She was doing that, He went to visit His mother where she lives. As usual, He came home and went right to bed. Oh, she wears Him out. One good thing is that this month's bill is smaller. That makes Her happy, so She just let Him rest until dinner time.
So many catalogs came that she still hasn't looked at half of them. All She says is Oh, LW's mom would like this, or Mazie would like that, or Cleo's girls would look cute in that. Meanwhile, the gift closet is full of stuff! One of the catalogs is about pets. Hmmm. I hope She looks at that one very carefully. Toodle Pip.

Strange Day for Cats

This was a strange day for Kasey and me. Kasey did not get her regular treats - that is, she wouldn't eat them! Then I didn't get my butter. I was busy drinking water in the bathtub, and She called me a lot of times, but when I got out there, I didn't lick any butter off her finger. She was really puzzled by us today. I don't know why we were such strange cats today. Maybe we knew they were both going away, and we were sad. She went to get Her car fixed and He went to His school, and we don't like it when they are both away.
She had to go to Her bank, as well. She said She could not drive Her car (which is all fixed) through the outside bank place. They told Her that the bank was hit by lightning, and their computers for the driving place don't work. What a storm that was last week! It scared us, but we didn't know it had hit Her bank..
There were a lot of catalogs in the mail today. I told Her to throw them out, because She doesn't have any more money to buy different gifts, but She just laughs and says don't worry, Coffs. We'll think of something!
Now They are both home. I'll see if She feels like petting Her cat! Sy-o-nara.

Time Cats

There is something wrong with the time. He and She get up earlier, and go to sleep earlier. It has Kasey and me quite confused. Saturday night They did something to all the clocks, but not the clock in my tummy, so I get my food earlier, when I am not so hungry. You would think that would make a cat happy, but it makes me confused. Being confused is not fun for me. Kasey doesn't care, as usual. She eats her supper earlier, then goes and begs for more at the usual time. And still she is sleek and slim. It makes Her wish that She could do that, but She is not sleek nor slim. She says She is a grandma, so it is OK to look like a dumpling! That is a fluffy kind of food. She looks fine to me, and She is much friendlier than Kasey. She is also worried about Smudge's Cat, Jack. He doesn't feel well, so we are sending love to him.
There are a lot of things on her to-do list this week. When did I have time to go to work? She says. Most of the things are fun, though, except getting Her car fixed. They sent a letter to Them saying Their cars needed to have something changed, so He took His today, and She has to go tomorrow.
She is excited for Mazie, because her family is moving in to their new house today. I wish they were not so far away, She says. But She is glad She doesn't have to help carry boxes!
I am not hungry yet, so I'll go lie in a piece of sun that is coming in the window. Nappy-bye.

The Cat Stalks

Last night, they watched a bunch of scary movies while kids came to the door for trick or treat. I couldn't get on Her lap, because She was always jumping up to give candy to the kids. Some of them looked like vampires, and one guy looked like a dragon. He would have been the scariest, except his mom was carrying him. They were eating popcorn, and with all this up and down stuff, some popcorn pieces droped on the floor. Luckily, I was there to stalk that popcorn and bat it under the table, so They didn't see it. I like to help that way, especially when I can't get lap time. When it got late, and all the candy was gone, I could get my pets, while They watched a murder show. They did something to the clocks, too, so we stayed up later. More scary movies.
So, today She and Mable'sMom went to get gingerbread pancakes, which She loved. When She got home from that, Katy's Girl brought Her a big bag full of presents! The presents were things She loved, especially a little bear dressed in a cute outfit. Do NOT stalk that bear, Coffster, She said to me. It is tempting, but I will leave it alone. Maybe LW will play with it next time she comes over.
Anothher nice thing is that Smudge's Mom came home from her far-away trip, so She is happy today.
I think She dropped something else. I will go and stalk it now. Odd you. (That's French)
