We found out that today was special. It is a day for remembering dead soldiers who helped us be free. Kasey and I don't really know any soldiers, but we do have people and cats to remember. There were cats that we saw at the esspeeceeay that weren't adopted, and we heard a terrible story about what happened to them. Then there is Smudge's Uncle Jack. He was an old guy, but he was nice to Smudge and fraNkie. And Katy's Husband. He must be dead, because we haven't seen him in a lot of weeks. We remember Katy's kittens who died in the street, and we all cried about that. There are others we miss, too. Our d-o-g cousin Cleo. She was fun to play with. LW's d-o-g, Sally, too. We didn't know her, but She said Sally was an old d-o-g.Speaking of d-o-gs, Tori-Tzu'sMom died, and T-TZ had to go live somewhere else. Juliet'sMom died, as well. He and She miss all these dead guys. She misses Her friend, Teri, who didn't have a cat or d-o-g. When I was getting pets today, She told me that in the whole world, She misses Her Grandma most. She says She *channels* Her Grandma, because everyone in the world needs a nice Grandma. I think I know what that means. She tries to act like her Grandma, and be a good example for the guys that don't have a Grandma nearby. They were not exactly sad today, because it is nice to remember.
I think tomorrow will be better, though. Her OG will tell Her about Eddie's show. Bye for now.

Watchful Cats
Both of Them were gone a long time today, and Kasey and I had to watch for them out the window. Kasey is small, so she can get behind the window-cover in Their bedroom and watch out the front. Me, I just look out the back. Here's what She did today. She has a very sad heart about Her church, so She doesn't go. Today a very dear man was talking and not many people were expected. She and Mable'sMom went there, and She wanted to cry. Some man She didn't know welcomed Her as if She were new. She - who was there the very first day. Of course, She knew She hasn't been there in a long time, so it wasn't the guy's fault. The talk was about dead soldiers, so of course it was sad. She probably won't go back.
She and M'sM went to a nice place for lunch, and She had some wonderful meat. It was so nice that She could bring the potato home for Her supper. I'm not that interested in potatoes, but I climbed up to check it out anyway. Here's something funny - The kind of meat She had was something She had to eat with Her hands, so Kasey and I sniffled Her hands until She washed them. They smelled good.
She says Her heart is going with Her OperaGirl to see their Eddie. She is chuffed.
Can that be ice cream She is getting out? I'll go and check. Cheery bye.

She Breaks a Rule
There is a rule here that no one goes shopping on Saturdays. Well, a store called Her and said She needed to p[ick up a prescription. She thought and thought. He was gone to a meeting of His writing guys. What if it was something He needed, She said. Then, to help Her decide, She had a card from that store that said She gets some money off if She buys things on one day. The idea of money off made Her decide. Trouble is, when She got to the store, She didn't feelo like shopping, You have to be in the mood, Coffs, She told me. I think She felt sad because it was Saturday, and the store was full of people She calls worker-bees. Well, She did get a couple of things they always use, and treated Herself to a fancy cold coffee-the-drink, but when She got home, She was knackered. I had to give Her snuggles and a massage.
She made Him gumbo again today. He doesn't care if He has the same thing every week, and She doesn't cook for him that often any more. She misses some of the things She used to do. I don't know why, but as long as there are snuggles She'll be fine. She asked me just the other day if Smudge'sMom would want to go to where Her OperaGirl lives to see Her Eddie in a play. When She mentions it to Him, He just goes hmmm.
Let's see if that gumbo tases good. Chow, bellas.

All Business Cats
No, we didn't open up an office and start to be a business. What She said about that is perish the thought. No, we were just taking care of normal things today, after a busy week and seeing lovely people. It is Friday, and the end of the month. She needed to pay some bills, and that is serious. No dancing about that. Well, at least She wasn't grumpy. He had a hard day, too. The grass is growing very fast now, and it is His job to cut it. I guess it is really hot outside, because He was really knackered when He came in. It makes Her worry, because He is old, too. Not as old as She is, but too old to be working so hard. She sometimes says He should hire a kid to take care of it, but He says She doesn't say that on a day when She has been paying bills. Kasey has stopped yowing to go out, but maybe They should let her go and eat the grass, so He wouldn't have to cut it.
With all the adventures coming up, She is hoping that her OperaGirl has a mega-fun time going to see their beloved Eddie. And She can hardly stand it that She can't see him in a play in the city where OG lives. Well, She said She is buying a lotto tomorrow. Maybe......if She believes!
Something smells good in the kitchen now, only it doesn't smell like vegetables. Since we worked hard today, I am ready for a taste of that supper. Ah-doo mez amees.

She Dances
You should have seen Her when She came home from Deena'sMom's house. She was dancing around and telling Him all about the adorable children that were there. Deena's Girl is visiting with her family from halfway around the world, And She was practically drooling to see her babies. Oh, She saw the little boy before, but now he's big, and he liked the book and the colors She brought. And then the little girl woke up. When She was telling Him about the little girl, She was laughing and crying at the same time. But wait. First She had delicious coffee-the-drink and something nice to eat. Deena'sMom made it, and it had blue berries in it. She was really chuffed. Then some more people came and they made something else to eat. She was in the middle of the best morning in a long time. Good things to eat, darling babies, Deena's Girl and Boy, and the nice man who was the daddy. She will not forget this day for a long long time. And what do you think the little boy said when She was leaving? ByeBye, Lala. As plain as could be.
It is not easy for Her to dance around. She is very old, and afraid She will fall. But today, She danced.
Kasey didn't yow at all today. Maybe she is over wanting to go out. We'll see. I'll report. Aw-reevwar.

Thirsty Cats
Today we were so thirsty that we asked Him to turn on the water in the bathtub so we could have big drinks. Of course, there was water in our silver bowl, and in the bowl by my kibbles, but we were too thirsty for that. I don't know what made us so thirsty, either. Or maybe we just want Him to watch us jump into the bathtub. (snerk)
It was dentist day for Her, and this time She wasn't the least bit anxious. Except, when She got there, one of the teeth they made for Her didn't fit. She has to go back and get that one, then be measured for a couple of fake teeth. So She was bummed when She came home. That's what I get for not being anxious, She said. Oh, well, at least they are doing it right! The ones that did fit look just like regular teeth. If She didn't show us, we would never notice them.
The cheery news is that tonight is the meeting of Her beloved Crones. She loves those ladies and always can't wait to see them. They always have interesting news about what's going on. If She could, She would have Crones every day.
She is chuffed about the picture that OperaGirl sent Her. It shows Eddie in Montreal with some more of her Eddie-friends. This time he is in Girly-Mode, so he looks beautiful instead of handsome! Well, He went to lie down, and Kasey s right there with Him. Maybe I'll have a little lie-down, too. Toodles.

Observing Cats
Kasey and I have been observing Them, and there are some things we can tell without even talking to them. For example a second guy came to look at the foundation. It was what He called a second opinion. I observed that She was quite anxious about this, but relieved when the second guy said no problems with the foundation.
I can also tell when She is reading stuff from Her Eddie-friends. She has a big smile. She told me that Her OperaGirl is getting ready to walk a long way to get money for sick people, just like Her Eddie did. That sounds so kind and nice, just like She told us Her OperaGirl is. And guess what else. Her OperaGirl is going to a faraway city again to see their Eddie in another show. I don't know if I told you that Her Eddie is a transvestite. That means sometimes he dresses in ladies' clothes and wears makeup. She is proud of him that he is what he is. The show Her OperaGirl will see is one where he has on ladies' clothes, and She can't wait for the pictures! She has never seen Eddie like that in person, but She has all his DVDs where he is in girly-mode.
Also, She is glad LW had a nice birthday. Turning five is a big adventure. Kasey and I are older than LW, but we are about as old as her next sister. I wonder if LW'sMom will make cake for OUR birthdays in November. Stay tuned!

Table Cats
Little by little, Kasey is getting used to not going out. Oh, she yows a little, and gets on the box by the door once or twice, but she looks as if she doesn't really expect Him to let her out. So what she does is get on the table with me. I am not used to having her close to me without biffing or hissing, but she acts like, well, I'm stuck in here with him, I might as well get up there and see why he likes to sleep on the table. It's OK with me, and She is really tickled to see us getting along - that's what She calls it.
A strange guy came to our house today, and he said he was going to check the foundation. The fixing guy said that might be why som plaster is falling dowwn. The foundation guy measured everything, inside and out, and he told Him that the foundation is just fine.. I thought She would cry when She heard that, She was so relieved. I heard Her say that the house stood tall through two hurricanes, and She doesn't care about a little falling plaster. The foundation guy said it was probably just old.
One thing She got today was a movie about the old west. It looked silly to me, She told Him it was kind of surreal. I don't know what that means, but it might mean silly. I can't believe She watched it. Oh, boy! She is fixing chicken to put with Her vegetables. I bet she'll share. Oddy-ose.

Teaching Kasey
Today Kasey was better. She only yowed twice to go out, and ran off when She went to pick her up. I think it will take a few more times and then Kasey will be the quiet little lady-cat she used to be. It is up to all of us to teach her. I have told her I would not like to be out there, where there are strange cats who come by, not counting Katy-next-door, who still have their claws. Don't you think it was funny how fast Kasey got the urge to go outside? He only let her out one time, and she was hooked. That should be a lesson to you. One nice thng, and then you want more and more, until you forget where your treats come from.
What She did yesterday was to go to Tori-Tzu'sMom's house. It was sad to be there when T-Tz'sM was not there any more. Well, She wanted to return the things She brought home from the hospital for T-Tz's boys. It feels good to have the things gone, but oh, my! She says there was a ton of stuff there. They sold a lot of it, but I bet it will take a week to get it all. She meant to bring home a lot of books, but She got all weepy, and came home. Just as well, because She wants to do some walking. Her OperaGirl is walking 39 miles to earn money for sick ladies. She could never walk 39 miles! Those days are over for Her, but She wants to walk some each day so She doesn't get stiff and pathetic. That's what She says, anyway. She wants us to be proud of Her.
I have to go see what He just put in my dish. ToodlePip.

One Cat Pouts
Today I have to tell you about Kasey's new thing. It started the other day when He opened the back door and Kasey slithered out. Remember? I told you She and I were kind of anxious about it? Well, that time He picked her up and brought her in. Next day Kasey waited by the back door, and when He went out to feed the birds, Kasey got between his feet and out the door. This time she wandered a bit while eating her grass, but stayed close to the cement. He finally picked her up, and everyone - except Kasey - was very relived. Then yesterday, she got out AGAIN, and this time she got under the rose bush, where He couldn't reach her, then ran along the back of the house, and He had a hard time picking her up. That brings us to today, Starting before They got up, Kasey started yowing, Loud. He went out the front and through the gate to feed the birds, so Kasey couldn't get out, She yowed and yowed, and put her paws on the doorknob. That little rascal wanted to go out. Then She had an idea. When Kasey yowed, She picked her up. Kasey just hates to be picked up. After a couple of pick-ups, she stopped yowing, went away from the door, and has been pouting ever since. What She called it was aversion therapy. I wonder if it will work tomorrow. I'll tell you about it then. Bye.

Sad-Happy Cats
When She is especially chuffed, She says Her heart is warm. Right now, everything outside is warm, but Her heart is very, very warm. If you wonder why, it is because of the people who came here today. Kasey and I knew something was going to happen, just by how happy They were. They wanted me to be happy as well, because They put a big cloth on the table, so I could get up there and play with it. I was having so much fun, Kasey came and tried it, too. We were fine until I accidentally (snerk) rolled over onto her tail. I ran away before Kasey could biff me.
Then the people came. It was Her beloved Mazie and her Mom and Dad and sister, as well as a very nice friend. They had some things to eat and drink. They talked and talked, and She got a present of a picture Mazie drew, and a cup with the same picture. You know She loves those gifts.
But here is the sad part. After everyone had been here awhile, it was time for them to go to another city to see a graduation. There were tears and hugs and more hugs and more I love yous. When they drove away, She told Him She didn't know when She would see Mazie again. Count your blessings, She reminded Herself. Mazie is doing well in school, everyone likes the weather where they live, and there is always the computer to send messages and stories. Still, I am going to have to give extra snuggles tonight. Chow, bellas.

Noticing Cats
There were many things Kasey and I noticed today. First of all, the man came to fix the cooling machine, and it cost WAY more than they thought. We noticed they grumped about that, but then said it was worth it to be cool, so everyone was happy again. Then He went out to feed the birds, and there was Katy-next-door. Well, He decided to give her some treats and a pet, and that made Kasey jump out of the door. I was pretty scared about that, because Kasey doesn't know how hard it is to live out there. He stood there while she ate some grass, then He brought her back in. I was so relieved, and so was She. Kasey sat on the box by the door all day, until He finally let her out again, to eat more grass. Now she is back in. We'll see what happens next.
Then She and Katy's Mom and Katy's Boy went to see a doctor to get medicine for him to feel better. That took a long time but She told Him it was interesting, and She hopes it helps him.
We also noticed that She is getting more excited, since Mazie will be here tomorrow. Maybe the family will stay a little while and have something good to eat. She would like to keep Mazie here forever!
I'm going to check on Kasey. She had better not be by that door! Bye now.

Saved Cats
Well, I guess She has to let me write my stories now, because She go a lot of static from my regulars. I just knew there were people who needed me! She thought She was so smart, but even if She is, She doesn't know everything. Right now She is worried because the air cooler doesn't seem to be working. She won't be happy until She gets Him all into it. I don't know what the trouble is. I feel just fine.
Maybe She was bummed yesterday, but todayShe was tickled pink. She had lunch with LW and her Mom. They went to a place where they made these French pancakes annd put yummy stuff in them. It was a lovely adventure, and She wants to go back there again. Next time She will eat a sweet pancake. LW'sMom had one, and it looked wonderful. She could not believe She was too full for dessert, but that's how good Her pancake was!
Right now, She is urging Him to check the cool air filter. Poor Him. He is going to have to climb up and fix it.
As for me, I will say nite-nite to all my dear friends. Thank you for straightening Her out.

Short-Time Cats
I cannot write very much tonight. It seems She is not in favor of these stories. Too personal, She says. Here is what She thinks: No one is reading my stories, and Kasey and I are wasting space. I don't agree, since I have lots of friends who are anxious to know what I think. So, for tonight, I'll write just a short story, and tell you She is chuffed about having lunch with LW'sMom tomorrow. Maybe that will put Her in an agreeable mood, and She'll say OK, Coffs, you win. Go ahead and write your stories so that the whole world knows what is going on at our house. She will smile when She says that, because She doesn't care who knows about our interesting lives.
So, I hope I'll be back tomorrow. If not - well - we'll see. TTYL (I hope)

Thunder Cats
The TV is all full of warnings about rain and thunder. That is a big noise, and Kasey and I don't like it. It makes Them annoyed when their programs get interrupted about the rain and Thunder, but we hear Them talking about it, and find our hiding places. My favorite is the closet, where He has put an old blanket, Kasey likes the top shelf of the closet, but lately, I have found a new place, The bookshelves behind the sofa are a perfect fit for me. The one down on the bottom doesn't show, so it is always empty, and I just fit on it.
Today She got two big surprises. One was a new picture of Her beloved Eddie. Her OperaGirl sent it from all the pictures she took at the last shows. She takes great pictures, which She has hanging up on the wall, and that's where this new one will go. She just loves Her OperaGirl.
The second big surprise was a note and a present from Katy'sMom and her girl and boy. It was a very nice thing for Katy's people to do. She was tickled pink about it, because She is glad to help these sweet people. She feels very lucky today, and I am glad. Besides, She could chew Her supper - very carefully.
Do you hear that? It is a big thunder. I have to go to the closet now. Good night.

Purr-fect Sunday
What a relief! She is not so sad anymore, and I am stayiing by Her side to show Her how glad I am about that. We had our butter today, and She is even chewing a little better. Of course, I can't help it if I get kind of scared by a noise or something and jump. My back paws still have their claws, and so it is possible that a very scared jump will give Her a scratch. I am glad that didn't hapen when She was feeling sad, because I bet She would have yelled at me. I would not like that to happen. And anyway, I am very sorry for the scratch.
Mable'sMom and She went to have some very special ice cream. They had a lovely talk, then both had things to do, so they went on about their business. When She saw Mable'sMom, She gave her some special bones She got for Mable. The store didn't have the bread with the black berries in it, so She will have to go one more day without it. That's OK. Plain bread is OK, too, I guess - as long as there is butter on it.
Right now, She is trying to think of a way to get some money so She can go see Her OperaGirl and go to a play that Her Eddie is in. Oh, these darn teeth, She says. That is where all my money will go! OperaGirl will understand. I have left Her alone long enough. Time for more snuggles. Chow.

Proud Cats
Remember how She used to fall down a lot? Well, She hasn't had a fall in almost a YEAR - until today. He was at a meeting about His writing. Everything was fine until She was drying off, and stood on one foot to dry the other foot. Over She went. It made so much noise when She fell down that it scared Kasey and she jumped off the bed. I was really laughing at that. Not that Her falling down is funny, She is old and could break some old bones. But She didn't, and She had to laugh Herself. Here She was, with no clothes on. She couldn't call the fire department with no clothes on, so She figured all the angles, and after a bunch of tries, She got Herself up. That was a big deal, because She couldn't get Herself up in Her last three falls. I was so proud of Her that I started to purr! When He came home, She didn't even tell him. She said it was a doofus thing to do, standing on one foot. She knows it was a mistake.
Besides that, there is no spaghetti today. He has finally had enough spaghetti and wants Her to make gumbo. I don't remember what that is, but it smells very good. I am looking forward to a taste of that. To tell the truth, I was getting a little tired of spaghetti myself, so I'm glad She's making something else. Even Kasey is proud of Her! TTYL.

Advo-Cats
Katy'sMom is sad because her boy didn't get treated fairly. Naturally, She had to get involved, because She makes it Her business to deal with school problems. So She wrote a letter to the school saying just a minute. You can't punish this boy! Well, the school called Her and said they want her to understand. She felt a little better after that. Now She has to get Katy'sMom to get over being mad at the school. She likes to help people who have questions about the schools. It makes Her feel like She is not wasting time. Wasting time? With two darling cats to pet? Sometimes She is just funny.
She also had to go to the post office today. One of Her friends has a birthday Sunday, and She had to get the birthday card there in time. When She went out to put it in the mailbox, the mail guy had already been here. This friend of Hers doesn't want a party, or even a present. She is puzzled about that, because She loves birthdays! She always has, He says, but now that She is old, She looks forward to every birthday She can get!
Here's what makes Her tickled pink - Only one more week until Mazie comes!
I think She is eating ice cream. I need to go get a little taste. Toodle Pip

Thursday Cats
For Her, Thursday is a peculiar day. She seems to be at loose ends when She is planning Her day. That means She is sometimes puzzled about it. We know why Nick&Lion'sMom likes Thursday. It is her last night for the week when she has to go to work. That is something that She likes. She has been giving this Thursday thing a lot of thought. She likes Thursday OK, but then, She likes every day. When She used to go to work, She like Thursday a lot, because it meant only one more day to get up very early.
Usually on Thursday She sleeps a long time and I have to wake Her up. Today, though, His mother called very early. She could not go back to sleep, so She got up and started Her routines a little early. Personally, I think it made Her bummed. Her patience with His m. doesn't go very far. Kasey and I have had to be available for pets and snuggles all day. I hope She feels better tomorrow. She is not so much fun when She is bummed.
She was happy to have a visit with Katy'sMom, which always makes Her smile. And She got some ice cream that tastes like coffee-the-drink. Since She can't chew very well, She eats ice cream and doesn't worry about it. I can get a taste of Her ice cream, but She says it might make me sick. She wouldn't joke about that..would She? Have to go now. I have made myself hungry! TaTa.

Silly Cats
We have been playing and acting silly today. We like to hear Her laugh at us, and we like to keep Them cheerful. It wasn't that hard today, because She had lunch with some very special friends, not just Her Crones, but two younger ladies She calls Crone-lets. It made Her happy to have a nice group. She wishes more Crones would come to meetings for Crones. She says Crones are good therapy for each other. That means they help each other be happy, even when some of their grandchildren are far away.
She has told me that She is working on a new identity. Not that She wants to change what She looks like, or where She lives, but how people know Her. For instance, She says people used to know Her as a teacher, and She has not been a teacher for a long time. Then Her identity changed to being a church lady in Her very special church where She could help people believe what made them happy, and not what someone told them. While She was in that identity, She was also a grandma, and the children called Her Lala, but they grew up and moved away, too far for Her to see all the time. Now Her identity is a cross between being Gran to Eddie and his friends. She likes that identity, even though She misses the others. She is also a Mom to two lovely (ahem) cats. That is MY favorite one of Her identities! Must run away now. Kasey is awake and wants to play chase. Toodles.

Friendly Cats
We have always been friendly with Him and Her. I have always been more friendly than my sister. If you ask me, though, something has changed. Kasey is starting to accept a pet or two from Her. Before, she used to yow and walk away. She is very rude. But now Kasey lets Her give may be two or three pets. She still can't touch Kasey's head. As for me, I have been getting up on His lap, too, as well as Hers. At first I did it just to make Kasey mad, but now I do some lap-sitting because I found out He gives good pets. But here's the strangest thing. Kasey has been getting close to me lately. For some reason, she likes to sniffle me, and she's not afraid of me at all. Oh, she still stays a little bit away from me, and we can still play chase, but she has stopped hissing and biffing. I'll let you know how this works out. Maybe there is hope for peace in the world after all is what She says.
As for Her, Her friends are all quite busy right now. For the school one, it is near the end of school. That is the second busiest time for students and teachers, She says. She used to be a teacher, so She knows. For the work ones, everyone has a lot of extra work to do. It is nice to be retired, She says, but sometimes it gets lonely. Don't worry. She'll be busy again soon. I saw Her calendar, and it has lots of stuff on it.
Now that it stays sunny longer, I can still find a piece of sunshine to snooze in, but I had better hurry. Oddy-ose.

Cat Siblings
Many of you know that I have a sister named Kasey. Kasey is a very unfriendly and rude cat. What She says is that Kasey is a loof. I don't know what a loof is, but I know my sister. Imagine our surprise this morning when she got up on the table with me, and sat there two inches away. She didn't hiss. She didn't biff. She just sniffed me, like a regular sister. I wonder if this is something to expect, or whether it was just a try. I'll have to consult with my cousins, Nick and Lion. Or maybe LW's kittens. There is no sense checking with Ollie, because he will remain mysterious, like he does.
Well, after making a fuss over us being together, He went to see His mother. She went to the store to stock up on treats. She had the better deal, because She also had a fancy coffee-the-drink with whipped cream on it. Yum. I like whipped cream!
Today is the birthday of Katy-next-door's girl. We got her a dog that sings a song. I hope she likes it, because I would never give anyone a dog, even if it sings a song! Katy came with her when she got her birthday present. It reminds me, we haven't seen Katy's husband in a long time,He and She say that cat is a goner. That sounds very sad. I hope it isn't true.
I hope Kasey doesn't want to be too much friends, because we like to chase each other. Like right now. Bye.

Lazy Day Cats
There was a lot of hard work for us this week, but today was just a nice, lazy day. I made sure to wake Her up nice and early, and give Her massages and snuggles so She knows we are glad She is our Mom. We told Her She didn't have to do anything but give us our kiibbles, some clean water, and butter/treats. She fixed eggs again for Her lunch. We were kind of hoping for fish, but She still can't chew. It will be time for Crones Lunch on Wednesday, and if She still can't chew, there will be plenty of soft stuff for Her to eat.
What a nice thing to have a special day for Moms. So many of us have lovely Moms, and I hope they all got massages and snuggles. She would not like breakfast in bed, but some Moms really like that, after getting up and fixing breakfast all the other days. When Cats Day comes, I will not want breakfast in bed, but some extra butter might be good. Do you know when Cats Day is? I don't remember.
There are a lot of nice things happening these days. Only twelve days until our Mazie comes!
This is all the work I want to do today, so, Oh-reevwar and happy Mom's day!

Particular Cats
What a nice day we have had. No hard work for us, and we enjoyed the antics of Katy-next-door as She came to our back yard and played for our entertainment. We both sat on the windowsill and watched her, We even pawed on the window, as our way of letting her know we were entertained. We have returned to having our own particular treats, after experimenting with each other's specialties. I think She was kind of relieved at that.
Mable'sMom came over and brought Her some cake. It made Her very happy, and She could chew most of it. She shared it with Him, and with me, of course, but Kasey didn't want any. It is lucky that She doesn't eat kibbles, because She cannot chew stuff. Every time She tries, the empty place where Her teeth used to be gets sore. As much as she loves cake and ice cream, She says She's anxious to get Her new teeth and eat something chewy.
One of Her NewYorkGirls is taking pictures of people looking mad. It is for showing expressions. Her OperaGirl is getting her picture taken. She says She can't imagine Her OG looking mad, so She will be waiting for pictures.
Tomorrow is a day for telling your Mothers thanks. Kasey and I will surprise OUR Mom by waking Her up early and giving her snuggles - or, in Kasey' case, asking for treats. TTYL.

Switcheroo Cats
You remember that I eat butter, but not treats? Remember that Kasey eats treats and not butter? Well, today, for some reason, Kasey wanted some butter. Since She isn't eating food that She has to chew, there was nothing to put butter on. Of course, She put some on a little plate. Kasey wouldn't take it off Her finger, but she came and licked the butter on the little plate. Don't worry about germs. She threw the little plate away. THEN, I went in to help Her with Her computing. There were some treats that She had put out for Kasey, and Kasey didn't eat them. I think I'll try a treat, I said. I ate one. It was good. So I ate another, and then the rest. Who ARE you guys, She said.
For Her lunch, She had a brainstorm. You don't have to chew scrambled eggs, She said, and cooked some and put cheese on it and you would have thought it was really good kibbles, the way She loved it. Of course, She still likes the coffee milkshakes, but real food is good, too. One thing. I don't care for eggs, so I'll have to wait for good food. Oh well.
She is kind of sad that LW'sMom didn't win the main prize last night, but she got some stuff for being in it, and She got to see LW and her sibs. She loved that.
That's all for now. I'll check back tomorrow.

Hard Working Cats
Kasey and I have to work very hard here, but tThey are good to us, so we don't mind, Every so often, though, we get ourselves worn out, Remember, yesterday She came home with a hurting mouth? Well, who do you think had to give Her leg-rubs and snuggles? If you guessed Kasey and me, you would be right. Then, early in the morning, I had to jump up on Her to make sure She was OK. Jumping is not easy for me. I am a big cat. I am twice as big as Kasey, and our cousin Katy as well. She felt much better today, so we settled down for a well-deserved rest. We had not snoozed very long when some guy came and made a very loud noise. There we were - both on alert. It turns out that His side of the garage was broken, and He called this guy to fix it. That is who made the loud noise out there. It was not until he got done that we could finally get a nap.
Do you know who else is hard-working? LW'sMom is. LW'sMom has just finished a big job for her school, but she has to go to a kind of party tonight to see if She won a prize. She really should, you know. That is where She has gone tonight. To watch LW'sMom get the prize. That gives us the chance to rest up. We may have to go on feel-better-duty again tonight. I hope not. So ByeBye for now.

Cheer-Up Cats
You know, cats don't have to go to the dentist. From what we have seen of Her, it is a good thing. She told us She needed a lot of work on Her teeth, Kasey and I didn't see anything wrong, but She says Her missing teeth gave her the colleywobbles. Here's what that means: She couldn't chew things well, and so Her tummy would get upset. She really hates that. He does not usually get really bossy, but He did about the teeth. Get them fixed, He said. The dentist told Her She would need so much work on Her teeth that it made Her think hard about it. Well, He kept bothering Her until She gave in. She went today, and was gone a long time. He was starting to worry. When She finally got home, She was a mess. She was tired, the medicine was wearing off, annd She really needed cheering up. Even Kasey got close to Her, and I gave Her snuggles, of course. But the best was Him. He went to the store and got Her medicine that the dentist said to take, because She was too knackered to go. Here's what made Her tickled pink - He brought Her a kind of coffee that is cold and creamy. It was exactly what She wanted! Even with a hurty mouth, She still gave me some pets and said She was the luckiest person in the world. I have to go back on cheer-up duty now, so - Toodle Pip for today.

Forgetful Cats
There is a certain amount of yowing going on around our house, and it is coming from Her. Maybe it's because of the dentist tomorrow, or maybe it was phone calls reminding Her of stuff, but She is all in a snit because She keeps forgetting things! If someone mentions what happened when they were little kids, She can remember what happened to Her at that time. If She is watching an Eddie, she can say all the words before he does. I guess that means Her memory is pretty good. But not Her. She can't rmember the name of those little trees (Bonsai). She can't remember the name of the guy who was in that movie (Richard Widmark)and it makes Her mad. I just laugh at Her. If she remembers my butter annd Kasey's treats, Her rememberer is good enough.
One thing She DOES remember is who will be here on two weeks from Friday! Mazie is coming from far away for some parties where the college is, and Mazie will come here first, and She will get hugs, I'm sure of it.
She got an email about Her president, and it said they will pick someone to have things to eat with him far away where OperaGirl lives. It is OK with me if She wins that, as long as He stays home with us. Wait. What's that in the back yard? I have to check on this, Later, Gator!

To-Do List Cats
I have noticed that She is more connected these days. On most days, She only does one thing at a time, but today She was a dynamo! We started the usual way, with toast and butter, treats for Kasey, and a look at the paper. Then, of course, She had to check Her messages and Twitter a little, or whatever She does on there. She even played a couple of those games that hypnotize Her - At least that's what He says. But then She got ready and went on a whole bunch of errands. She came home with a big glass of frozen coffee. She told Him it was just like Starbuck's, only cheaper. She loves to find things that are cheaper. She wasn't even knackered when She got home, so She got some other tasks out of the way. Of course, She still had time to give me lots of pets, so I like this connected feeling.
He went to see His mother. That is why she has not called a dozen times today. She says no, she'll wait and call you at dinner time annd ask when you're coming over. I'll tell you if that happens. Anyway, my cousins, Lion and Nick are glad that their Mom is home, and Tabitha and Sookie are entertaining LW's Family, too. And here's some more happy stuff: Mazie will be here in 18 days!
I have to check if any more of that fish is left. Until tomorrow.....

Anticipating Cats
When Mable'sMom came to get Her today, She told us we would be very happy cats, because She was going to a place where they have mostly fish, and you know She always brings some home. So we have spent most of the day waiting for our dinner tonight, because She will let us taste some of the fish She brought home. I can hardly wait for that. If I knew how, I would go in that place for keeping the food cold, and I would gobble down that fish. But that will never happen. I am totally smart and clever, but I draw the line at stealing food. Only d-o-gs do that. Oh, but the thought of that fish is making me drool!
Another thing we are waiting for is for it to be 7:00. There is a show on that will have Her beloved Eddie in it - but only as a voice. She doesn't care. She'll watch it anyway, and I will get on Her lap. Warning - I might just fall asleep, because I will be full of fish!
We are waiting for it to be LW's family birthdays. They come all in a row, except for three years apart. Even LW's Mom and Dad have birthdays in there! It makes Her tickled pink.
Now She is waiting for Her OperaGirl to finish fixing her pictures so WE can see them. He told Her that there is not much more room on the wall for more Eddie/OperaGirl pictures, but she says then we will have to move. I am almost certain that is a joke. I have to go see if I can help get that fish ready. Toodles.

Krazy Katz
What a day! Up early so that He could go to a meeting far away. Can't get used to not having the bagel-butter. She was all in a dither about OperaGirl and OzGirl seeing Her beloved Eddie, and the messages have been flying. Very little time to pet cats, let me tell you. She was telling everyone about the movie They watched. It was about a guy who flew all around in airplanes. Don't tell Her, but I fell asleep. When I woke up it was the ending, and She was crying. I just hate that.
There was a nice music show going on today, but She didn't want to sit outside. She is hoping for videos, though, because some good friends are playing music there.
No matter how her thinking gets worse, His mother can remember His phone number. She has called five times already, and we haven't even seen Dr.Who yet. He loves Dr. Who. Not as much as She loves Eddie, but he IS Her grandson, after all. At least that's what She says.
She got some funny pictures in the mail from Her sisterinlaw. That is a nice lady who really understands us, even though she has a d-o-g. Everyone here loves her.
Kasey has been running around like an oofty, while I have been trying to rest up for tonight's nap. Maybe Kasey knows it is spaghetti night. I know I do. Ta Ta for now.
