It was the telephone that woke Her up this morning, and it was the place where His mother lives. It was not an emergency, so She told them She would give Him the message. When He came in, She told Him about the message, and He said He was surprised about it. After a little while, He went over to see His mother, did a couple errands and came back. Next telephone call came from the place and He told them He didn't get the phone message, but to go ahead and do what they needed to do. This worried Her, because She thought He took care of it while He was over there, but He said He didn't know about it. Don't you remember me telling you? She was really kind of scared now. Don't tell us He's losing His thinking again? Kasey and I will monitor Him closely.
Other than that, He has been acting very normal, doing His routines and watching TV while He makes His salads.
So far we have not heard from the friends who thought they would come over. Oh, well. She will be glad whenever She sees them. She has to be ready to go to school about Katy'sBoy tomorrow. She is glad about that, and I am glad She is having one of those little pies for our dinner. She is listening to Her Italian boys and trying to be a happy camper. Bye now.

Emergency Cats
Today started bright and early - earlier than She usually gets up. This is what the emergency was, The guy did not bring Her paper. If you realize that every morning starts with coffee-the-drink, the paper, toast and butter, you would realize that this was a big thing. As emergencies go, She said it was as much as She would like to have in the way of emergencies, but this is one She can fix. It turns out that She did not send in the money for the paper. She pays by the computer, and when She checked the payment had not been sent. Well, foo. He can't live without His TV guide that comes in the paper. I am glad to report THAT emergency is taken care of. Now, the one about the people who run the country, She couldn't fix that. We have to wait for that one.
People came to the door selling things, and She didn't know the kids, so She just wished them good luck. People drop kids off in the neighborhood and let them go door-to-door. She buys stuff from the neighborhood kids all the time.
Her OperaGirl went to see a movie She is curious about, and Cleo'sDad and Girl are going to a play She has seen before, about a mean lady and how her boyfriend makes her behave. Sort of like training Kasey. (snerk) Since I was up early, I'll have a little rest before dinner. More news later.

Wide Awake Cats
We all had a delightful sleep last night. She and I fell asleep while She was watching TV and He was having His computer fixed. I curled up on Her chest, and when He came back to where we were, Both of us were sound asleep. He left us alone and watched some more TV. Sometime during the night, He turned the light off and left us where we were sleeping. It was kind of funny, when you think about how She couldn't sleep the night before. I woke up earlier than She did, but we have been up-and-at-em all day. That means busy.
She was chuffed when DeDe'sGirl came over and took One of Her old hobby things to use. It was a bunch of cards and a book to tell about them. It was such a pleasure to find them a good home, She said. We had one little problem. The sweet girl is allergic to cats, and it was a job to find a place where they could sit and talk, but She sure did enjoy the visit.
One extra treat when you have a big pizza for dinner is that you have some left over for lunch. That was Her treat for today. I am happy to report that there will be fish for our dinner. Ummm. Nice fish and some snuggles will make my evening complete. Hope you have a nice evening, as well. Toodles.

Pondering Cats
I am pondering, and so is She. We wonder what kept Her from going to sleep for such a long time last night. Usually She falls asleep faster than I do, sometimes while working Her puzzle. Then He has to turn the light off. But last night She couldn't turn off Her ears or Her thinking. Could it be the nice cold drink of coffee She had with Her Crones? Maybe, but I have seen Her fall asleep while She was drinking a cup of nice coffee-the-drink. Maybe She was excited about seeing Her Crones. Boru'sMom came, and She was tickled pink, because that lady doesn't come to Crones very often. Maybe it was the movie that He and She watched after She got home from Crones. It was a twisty-turny kind of movie that had them both spellbound. Personally, I had a nap while it was on, but they watched every minute. It was not a worry kind of being awake, but we will see what happens tonight.
This should be a great night, because They are having pizza, which She loves, and which She shares with a certain cat (ahem). Then They watch a program about an English doctor who is very rude and scared of blood. You would think it would be sad, but it's actually funny. At least He and She laugh at it. Laughing is good. If you will excuse me, I think I'll get a nice drink of water out of the silver bowl on the table. Cheery-bye.

Snuggle Bug Cat
That's me. I'm the snuggle bug. My sister, Kasey doesn't care if she never gets a snuggle, although she will be more friendly with Him than anyone else. As for me, I can't get enough snuggles. Last night, I must have given Her three massages and a curl up snooze. That means I had a nap on Her chest. He thinks I do it when I want food, or a drink of water, and not just because I love snuggles. One thing about lots of snuggles at night is that it makes Her sleep later in the morning. I guess we will have to work on that - or maybe just let Her get used to sleeping late. That would work for me.
I wonder why He keeps putting on the news. It just makes Him and Her upset to hear about what might be happening. What will happen if all the money is gone? I wish we didn't need money at all. It makes Her worried to think about it. That's why it's a good thing when She has a meeting to look forward to. Tonight it is the Crones. I know it seems soon for Crones again, but She is glad that She will have Her beloved friends to visit with.
She also looks forward to seeing Her friends who moved back here after living halfway around the world. She just loves those people, and She is glad they are here to stay for awhile. I hope they come this weekend. Well, I'll talk to you again tomorrow. Bye.

Penny Wise Cats
We are so glad the money troubles with His mother are ending. The old lady is now being able to get the help He has been looking for during these long months. We have learned some important details today. Some She told us, and some we just heard Them talking about. The place where His mother stays is going to handle all the money stuff. It leaves us with no extra money, but we can always cut back a little on kibbles, and I can share more of Her dinner. Maybe just three fingers of butter instead of five. She told me not to worry. She says we have enough. That's all anyone needs, you know. Just enough. She believes that, and I believe it, too. After all, if we had more than enough, She would probably want to go and visit Her OperaGirl, or maybe go to where Her Italian Boys live. That would be hard on her aches and pains. Besides, I like it when She is right here.
She is chuffed because She got a nice note from Mazie today. It told how much fun Mazie had in Paris. Mazie saw a lot of the same things She saw when She was in Paris. It is a nice connection. It will be Mazie's birthday in a couple of weeks, and He and She sent a box full of love and presents.
A bunch of new catalogs came in the mail. It may be a lucky thing that She has to watch Her pennies. Those catalogs can really hypnotize Her. At least I can sit on Her lap while She looks at them. Oh-ree-vwar.

Cats With Treats
You know when She is happy, because it is easy going around here. When She woke up and had Her coffee, it was a regular day, but it became a Treat Day when She read Her emails. She was so anxious to spend some more time with Hana'sGran and the visitors that She whooped and hollered when She saw that She could go and eat lunch with H'sG. Besides the family, there were other people that She also likes very much, and Hana'sGran always has nice food. One of Her favorite things to eat is cornbread, if it is made just right. That is exactly what was for lunch. It was kind of silly that She got there a little late, because She didn't remember that She was invited before, and did not get up early enough to get ready. Spending time with these lovely people makes Her happy for the rest of the day.
Now that She has Her permit to park in an easy place, She went to the store to pick up a couple of things as long as She was out. Here is the joke. All the special close places were full. She drove around because She thought She saw a place, but by the time She got there, another guy with a permit was there. So much for that idea. It is nice that She was in happy feelings, because this didn't make Her disappointed. She thought it was funny.
This looks like a good time to go and get some pets. Maybe She'll hum a song, like She does when She is happy. Chow, bellas.

Cats With Work to Do
It seems as if every place in our country - almost - is as hot as we are all summer. Trouble is, these other people aren't so used to it. Here, we have everything air-conditioned, because we know it is going to be hot. In those other places, it generally gets much colder than here. We surely don't like it cold, but we would not like to be in hot weather without air conditioning to keep us cool. Kasey and I like to be cool enough so that we can sleep in a patch of sun in the afternoon.
I told you we have had a little rain. Well, that means our yard needs looking after, and that is a job for Him. He had to go out and cut things. He had to clear the walk, because the plants have grown so much He could hardly walk up to the door. It is much nicer now. You know that means work for us, because we have to watch out the windows and be sure He is feeling fine and doing the job right. It can wear a cat out, I am telling you.
Another thing we had to help with is making sure there is no cat-hair in the computer or the keys. You would think we left hair everyplace to hear them tell it.
She told us Her OzGirl went to London on the same plane that Her Beloved Eddie was on. Her OperaGirl told Her about it, and She is very happy for Her girls and Eddie.
Hey. He just came in and brought Her flowers. I have to go and help Her put them in water so they stay nice. I'll bet you six kibbles that Kasey will eat them before long. Later, gator.

Simple Day Cats
This morning I had to wake Her up, because She was sleeping so long. She doesn't like to sleep so long, and I think She just didn't want to get up to hear more sad things. Anyway, it was very late and a cat needs his butter. So I didn't give Her a massage, I actually jumped on her, and then looked very innocent. She got the message all right. She looked at Her to-do list, and just did the easy things. He had already been up and brought in a package that was by the front door. The delivery guy must have come early. She was glad to get it, because it was part of Hana'sGran's birthday present. I have to keep quiet about that, in case H'sG reads my story. I hope She is too busy playing with Hana to notice.
.Do you remember those bargains She gets where things only cost half as much? Well, today there was one for lollipops made out of cake. What could be more perfect? She has always been the Lollipop Lady. She had to send those to LW and her sibs.It was probably the most non-simple thing She did all day.
There is a nice show for them to watch after dinner, about a policeman in a little English town. He and She must have watched a big bunch of these shows. I'm glad Kasey and I don't live in that town. Somebody gets murdered there about once a week. I'm off to check on dinner. TTYL

World News Cats
So many things on the news about happenings all over the world. It has Him and Her very very sad. When They woke up, there was news about bombing in a country where some of their friends live. Bombing anywhere is bad, but She says this is an especially nice country where the people are treated fairly. It is the last place you would expect bombing. She is trying to see what started up enough anger to do such a thing. I think world news is important, but it makes Him and Her so sad that I want to turn it off for awhile.
Also, I thought that the problems with money that are happening right here in the country where we live were almost fixed. It turns out I was wrong, and these people that are supposed to fix it are still in a tug o' war. I hope He stocks up on kibbles before the whole country loses everything.
We are well stocked up on fish, and there are vegetables for Him in the freezer. This is how worried He is - He told Her He would like a hamburger. That is a huge thing - although His doc says He could have meat once a week. She thinks of maybe a little meat in a sauce or something, but a whole hamburger? Things must be really bad around the world. Everybody keep track of what is going on, and be ready to think of some good answers. I'll check back with you on that.

Good Things Cats
Some days there are so many good things that they come one right after the other. To begin with, I enjoyed nine fingers of butter this morning. I was feeling especially buttery. Since She had stayed up until the middle of the night to watch Eddie on a TV show, She was kind of sleepy, but still excited to go and have a nice lunch with Her beloved Crones. They went to a place where He and She have gone, and Her favorite thing was the way the people made everyone feel very special. Her Crones mostly liked it, but everyone loved being together, and She decided it was a success.
Do you think the fun was over after lunch? Silly you. When She got home, there was a package waiting from Her beloved OperaGirl. OG went to Some beautiful cities far away. One is where Eddie lives, and the other is where Eddie was putting on a show. Her OperaGirl sent Her presents from both places. My favorite is a little copy of a famous tower in Paris. It is all covered in jewels. The present, not the real tower. It is so cute that She put Her keys right on it and attached it to Her purse by means of a clip that is on it. She loves all of the presents and made a big fuss over them.
She Had a box when She came home from Her lunch. I can't tell what it is, but I am sure it is not fish. I will see it when She gets ready to eat Her dinner. Cheerio and odd-yoo.

Kind of Dizzy Cats
Do you know, I have been writing stories here for a long long time, and with precious little help from my sister, Kasey. I wonder if anyone reads them. I don't guess it matters, since I have a lot to say - as well you know. Here is the strange thing about today. She didn't have to go anywhere, and since it was thundering, I was glad to have Her here. She was having a bit of trouble about feeling kind of dizzy, and it only worried Her when She was moving around. She could sit in Her chair and work puzzles. She could also write to all Her computer friends without feeling dizzy. And She could do the trick She does with Her tongue - the one where She checks if all of Her brain is working. Maybe She just got water in Her ears. Anyway, She will be better tomorrow, when Her beloved Crones are meeting for their special lunch. I wonder what She will bring home.
He came across some extra money in His account, Not a lot, but it made Her happy to have a bit of back-up. Well what do you know. He decided His new car needs some stuff, and guess how much it would cost? That's right. Just the amount that He just got. That used to make Her kind of mad, but now She just laughs. We have enough, Cofs, She says, and enough is as good as a feast. Her old Grandma used to say that.
I'll go give Her some snuggles now, before dinner. Airy-va-Dairchy

Manic Monday Cats
Today there were things on the to-do list that made Her drive away. Here is what's funny about that. After all those weeks without rain, it thundered and rained just when She had to go out. Sadly for the grass, the rain didn't last too long and She could get all Her stuff done without getting wet.
She is not the kind of person who cares about little things, but She will be kind of glad when Her fingernails grow a bit longer.. She says nature gave Her a french manicure, but today all the white part is cut off. Considering that I don't have ANY fingernails, I do not feel sorry for Her.
When She was out driving today, She stopped for some chicken for our lunch. I have to admit, that chicken tasted very good. The trouble is, She ate so much for our lunch that She is not hungry for dinner. That means just a sandwich or something. I have to sigh about that, because That is not something I want to share. I'll just dream about the chicken, I guess. When you are retired, you can eat whatever you want, She says. If She wants to have cookies for lunch, cookies is what She will have. He doesn't care, either.
I had plenty of rest today while She was away from our house, so I am ready to have some fun now. I'll go see what Kasey is doing. I hope Kasey's sleeping, so I can go wake her up. (snerk) Bye now.

Sunday Cats
This is the second day of the weekend, and it is a day that makes me yawn. Sunday used to be Her favorite day, when She saw all of Her friends. Now She just mostly stays home and we do a bit of clean up and wait for the mystery that comes on TV at night. When She has something to do and someone to see, She practically bounces out of bed. On a day like today, She didn't get up in much of a hurry. The bed felt cozy, and if She didn't have a cat waiting for butter, She might be lying there yet. She has been bummed about what is in the papers and on the news programs. When She saw the front pages, She told us that it was kind of silly to pay for a paper that just gives Her a headache. She didn't really have a headache, you know. It is just an expression. She talks like that sometimes.
By the time She listened to Her Italian boys and played Her game, She was OK, and ready to do some organizing. She got an email from Mazie'sDad that they were enjoying their trip, and it reminded Her that She needs to send Mazie's birthday parcel tomorrow. Yes, it will be another one of those busy weeks. I prefer for Her to stay home, but She is so happy to see Her friends that I let Her go. TTYL, dudes.

Weekend Cats
When it is the weekend, the routine is different from the other days. The start is the same, with toast and butter and lots of coffee-the-drink, but then it goes a bit different. The programs are different, and usually She stays in, unless there is something specific, like a ride with Katy'sPeople, ar a visit with someone special. That's what it was today. Mazie's oldest brother still lives near us, and today they went and had some frozen drink together. She is glad for a chance to catch up with what he is doing these days. She was chuffed to find out he has a girlfriend. It will be fun for Her to meet this sweet girl.
The mail still comes on one weekend day, and today there was a package from Her Eddie-Sister who lives kind of far away, near the ocean. The favorite thing for Her was pictures of Her beloved Eddie, but my favorite was a cute little kitten with a hat and shoes. She really loved that box of nice things. There are lots of joys from the Eddie people. These people are a special branch of Her family.
Another part of the family is Mazie, who is still way far away in a whole other country. It will be Mazie's birthday soon, and then Mazie will leave for a whole other country than that. Since She has been to both places, it tickles Her that Mazie will see the same things She saw.
So Oh-ree-vwar for now.

Chill Cats
I am sure you remember hearing about how hot and dry it is here where we live. Of course it is nice inside where Kasey and I stay and chill. But for the humans, who have to go outside for things, they are looking for ways to keep cool. What She learned today was that a smart person could have a little machine that makes nice, cool ice cream in just a few minutes. If you know Her, you know She loves ice cream. In fact, ice cream is so tempting to Her that She doesn't buy it in big containers, because She can't resist it. Today She was visiting with Smudge'sMom and found out about a little machine that makes just two perfect servings at once in just a little waiting time. Oh, She really loved that ice cream. She will start hinting to Him about what a nice present that would make. I'll let you know how that works out.
When LW'sMom finishes Minister School, She wants to give her a nice gift. Like an ice-cream machine. Today She consulted with Smudge'sMom about it. That's all I can tell you, because if LW'sMom or Sibs read my story, they might find out too much. Just remember, I told you here first!
Well, it will be fish tonight, and lots of vegetables. That fish tastes so good that I could eat a whole one myself. Something tells me that idea will not work . I will be satisfied with a taste.
She has had so many good things to eat this week that She just might give me a big share. A cat can dream, you know. Later, Gator.

Hard to Believe Cats
Suppose you were to make a list of Her favorite things. Naturally, it would include Kasey and me. Then there is Him. She just loves Him. She loves our cousins and their people, and Mazie. Sure, She loves all those things. But what about coffee-the-drink? A favorite, for sure. And spaghetti. Just slightly ahead of pizza for the perfect food. What about Her beloved Hana'sGran? Way up there, in the Beloveds category. How about strawberries? You just know She loves them - and nuts and dates as well. She loves Hana'sGran's Girl, and Hana and her brother. And Hana's nice, kind daddy. Well, She had all those favorites today, and had fun talking, which I believe is what keeps Her going. It was almost like She couldn't believe how nice it was today.
She also heard some funny stuff from LW'sMom. At least She LOLd when She read the message. It is Her wish that LW'sMom would hurry and be through with the minister school, so she won't be so busy, and She can have fun with her again.
It was a long day for me without Her here, which means I will have to catch up on snuggles this evening. She will go visiting again tomorrow, with another of Her list of favorites: Smudge'sMom and ice cream. It is lovely around here when He and She are very happy. This is one of those days. Toodle Pip.

Family Cats
For some reason, I was particularly in need of attention. All my food and water dishes were filled, my litter was clean, and there was no earthly reason to keep bothering Her. I started while She was still asleep, and walked all over Her until She had to get up. She was OK with it, and toast and butter went off without a hitch. She was amused that the notice that the country was not going to have to shut down was clear in on page 4, after it had been in headlines for a long time. So He and His mother will get their checks OK. Then I had to help Her with Her computering. I just could not get enough pets!
She wrote a letter to the people that want to charge a lot for His mother's tax and told them not to be silly. We have to wait and see what they say.
But best of all was Her lunch with Cleo'sMom and Girl. The place was one of Her favorites, and it made Her happy just to be there. They met some people who were even older than She is, and had some fun talking to them. The old people knew They were all family there, just like we are at home. Her food was fine, although not exactly what She expected. She brought a bunch of it home. That way, She could get a little pie made out of berries, and it came with ice cream. She ate the ice cream off, and brought most of the pie as well. When She warms it up for Her dinner, all the love and fun from the lunch will come back. I can't think of anything nicer for today - unless She had brought home fish. Tune in tomorrow. Hana's day!

Puzzled Cats
It is the talk of this house that the people in charge of the country are not taking care of business in a useful way. If you know Him and Her at all, you know They are very pleased with the man who is President. The trouble seems to be the guys who are hoping the President will fail. The thing that has happened with this disagreement is that there has to be a budget pretty soon or the whole place doesn't have any money. Here's the thing, as He explains it to us. One side wants to make the really, really rich people pay more to run the country. That is the side He and She are on, by the way.The other side says they will never make the rich people pay more, no matter what. He and She know some rich people, sort of, and it seems as if those people can afford to pay a little more. Well, if the two sides don't agree before this month ends, He won't get his pay from the government. Neither will His mother, who needs that to live at the place where she is. Their President said he was willing to talk about it, and maybe give up some things, but the other side just dug in their heels and won't even try to get along. It makes Her kind of mad, because that's not how She taught Her students to act when She was a teacher. He is as mad as She is, but He is hoping everyone will try harder. I won't have to tell you how it works out, because everyone who reads my stories will already know.
I hope She isn't too mad to make dinner. I'll go check. Toodles.

Planning Cats
When we woke up today, Her calendar pages we empty for this week. She was saving space for lunch with Hana and her family, but now, right before dinner, it's pretty much filled in. There will be coffee with Mazie's oldest brother. Then, there will be lunch with Cleo'sMom, and maybe even Cleo'sGirl. And finally, lunch with Hana. This is going to be fun.
Since She didn't have a for-sure date today, I got in a nice round of snuggles. She picked me up for a snuggly start, because I was telling Her I needed to be picked up and petted. Then, after Her lunch, I got on Her tummy for a nice nap, and stayed there while She watched Her shows. I am getting all my snuggles in before She goes on Her madcap calendar page dates.
It doesn't look like an especially cat-friendly dinner tonight. I see Her getting a lot of vegetables out of the freezer. Well, that's OK, as long as there is something to lick from Her plate. Don't worry, LW'sMom, She washes it very clean.
Lots of new shows are on TV tonight. That means a pleasant lap-sitting for me. Life is good. Chow for now.

Anticipating Cats
What that means is that Kasey and I are looking forward to things. For one thing, She will be extremely happy, and that is always good for us. We love it when He and She are happy. It just feels nice around here. She is looking forward to seeing Hana and her family one of these days, and seeing if they like their books. She is also looking forward to a nice lunch with Her beloved Crones. It is happening on the same day that Her beloved OperaGirl and OzGirl are going to see Eddie in a show, and She knows they will tell Her all about it. It looks like some nice days ahead.
Her darling Mazie is leaving tomorrow to go halfway around the world to see a place called Paris. She sent Mazie some money to spend in Paris. It has the best food She ever tasted, She told us, and She even counts sandwiches from the grocery store! She will wait for pictures and a report.
Much closer in time than these other things we anticipate is what She is fixing for dinner. She has another one of those little pies that have gravy and meat in them. I am positive I will get to share that. She also has another little pie, with berries. She can have that one all to Herself.
Kasey and I are some lucky cats, I admit it. Stay tuned for reports on all the adventures coming up. Bye now.

Cats and Cake
It was a fun day for Her, because She went on a ride with Katy'sPeople and it was a pretty easy ride. There was not much traffic, which means not many cars were in Her way. When they got to the place where Katy'sGirl's doctor is, they started talking about a kind of cake they like, and it made them hungry for this kind of cake, which is usually made by Latino people. Even though Katy'sMom's name sounds as if she is Latino, she is not, so She said there was a place near our houses where Latino people make delicious cakes. When they were almost home, they came to the place She was talking about and they all went in and got some of the special cake. While they were there, She saw a kind of dessert that He would like, and She got that as well as the cake. When She got home, She showed the cake to me, and this was the beginning of my love affair with a cake. It doesn't matter that it is sweet. You know that cats can't taste sweet, don't you? What it was was creamy. Very, very creamy, as if it were made out of milk and cream. This is my idea of cake, believe me.
Her ticket for close-up parking still has not come. She will call them in a few days to tell them to hurry. For now, though, I think we all need a nice rest. Oddy-ose.

Fish for Dinner Cats
Back in the olden days, She says, it was very common to have fish for dinner on every Friday. She is kind of tired of thinking up meals after all these years, so She thinks a fish menu cuts down on the figuring-out-what-to-fix. You won't hear any argument from me about that. Now Her other idea isn't so appealing. During the war, when She was a little girl, She says they had shortages of almost everything, so the people were asked to have something called Meatless Tuesdays. On such days they would eat beans and vegetables and fake meat, like what He sometimes eats. Since Her beloved Grandma was a smart cook, those meals were better than most people had, but She doesn't remember them with fondness, like She does the fish.
Tonight there is a fish called MahiMahi on the menu. It tastes very good, but the last time She fixed it, She got a very bad case of the itchy hives. She thinks it might be something in the water where the fish was caught, because She gets hives whenever She has something called iodine, and some of that is in sea water. I hope She doesn't get that tonight, because I can't stretch out on Her tummy if She is all itchy.
Still no rain today, but the weather guy keeps saying pretty soon. I wonder if cows and sheep can get enough grass to eat. If not, we might have to have meatless Tuesdays again. Oof. Toodles.

Fun for Lunch Cats
This morning She was up early and feeling fine. No headache, no dizzy-being, just happy, because She had a lunch date with Hana'sGran and they could plan for when Hana gets here in a few days. As if it wasn't enough fun to see Her beloved friend, they had to talk about how every minute was going to go in the next bunch of weeks, while Hana is here with her Mom, who is Hana'sGran's little girl, and Hana's Daddy and her brother. Hana'sGran has done a million things to get ready, and She couldn't be more excited, even if Mazie was coming!
I don't mean to sound selfish, but I am even more excited because She brought back a nice box of things from Her lunch that She will have for dinner. I don't know what's in the box, but it sure sniffled good when She put it on the table. It is in the refrigerator now and I am very curious.
The Thunder that came yesterday did not have any rain in it so She feels like it was all a trick. The guy on TV said there was rain all around where we are, but no rain on our poor, brown grass. Well, at least He doesn't have to go out in the hot sun and mow it. That's what she calls be grateful for small favors from nature. I think She wants to come in to listen to Her Italian boys, so I will say ari-va-dare-chi.

Rain Cats
I cannot remember the last time it rained here. She says it is too dry for the grass to grow, and it is turning brown. Some people put water on their grass from inside their houses, but He and She would never do that. Nature will take care of it, she says, and it might be right, because there is thunder right now, and it TV guy says it might rain on different places around the city. She likes that it is cloudy and rumbling now, and I am not very scared at all - so far.
At least it was not raining when She went to get Her hair cut. It has been quite awhile between cuts, and She feels so much better with it cut. You can tell. Anyway, She doesn't want to go have lunch with Hana'sGran and look like Cousin Itt. I don't know which cousin that is, but I'll bet he has a lot of hair.
She feels fine now, but awhile ago she got sort of dizzy, and it was a bother. You can guess it didn't stop Her from getting Her hair cut! What She likes is to feel tip-top. One thing about dizzy,Cofs, She said to me. It doesn't hurt. She especially likes when nothing hurts.
You will have to excuse me now, the thunder is making me worry about what is happening inside the closet. I'll go check that out, and let you know tomorrow. Buh-Bye.

Questioning Cats
The thing that has us all questioning today is about a little girl who died, and there are people who think her mother killed her. They have been arguing about it for a lot of weeks, and today they said the mother didn't do it - at least they aren't 100% sure. It has made Her very sad, because She thinks the mother did so many peculiar things about her little girl that she has to be guilty. We weren't there to hear all the stuff they talked about, but there a a couple of things that really trouble Her. First of all, the mother did not tell anyone her girl was missing for quite awhile. He and She would report Kasey and me to be missing after about 10 minutes, I bet. She is also sad that the mother's name is the same as my sister's, only spelled differently. People should take care of their children and cats, and teach them to be friendly.
Besides that, all we did was more decluttering. It seems that She has so many papers that She doesn't need anymore that We might have a whole new office when She gets done. I don't like when She grinds the paper in the machine. It makes a terrible noise, and you know how I feel about that.
Well, I guess it is my job to go and cheer Her up about that poor little girl whose mother killed her. She really wants everyone to be kind and responsible. That's what She teaches Kasey and me, and what She has tried to teach everybody. Bye bye for now.

American Cats
This is another one of those special days that humans keep having. It is about being an American and being proud that we are independent. There was a big war about it, She says. I kind of remember last year, and that a bunch of fireworks went off, and you know how I am about big noises like that. I spent most of the time in the closet. This year, because it has not rained in such a long time, we aren't going to have fireworks. I don't mind telling you that is fine with me. Sure, I wish it would rain, because that's what He and She want, but it is OK if it waits until it's past fireworks time.
One thing people do for this day is have picnics and cook outside. She never cooks outside, but now She says it is too hot and dry for anybody to cook outside. She is going to have some Mexican food, just to show that She thinks being a good American means appreciating our neighbors. Or maybe She just feels like having Mexican food.
Remember when I told you about his sore ears? All the dentists and doctors have had their opinions and medicines, but His poor ear is still sore. I know how it feels to have a sore place and how it makes you want to bite someone. I hope He finds an answer for His sore ear very soon.
I think I'll go and see what Kasey is doing. Chow for now.

Snuggle Cats
I just don't know what got in to me today. All I wanted to do was get snuggles. When I am especially snuggly like that, it usually means I'm out of kibbles, or water. She and He checked all our supplies and nothing was missing. I wish I could tell Her that sometimes it just feels good to know you can get snuggles whenever you want. She didn't get upset with me, even when I lay on the keys while She was playing a game.
Today She heard from a bunch of Her favorites. Her OperaGirl, Her OdessaGirl, Bernie'sGirl and Hana'sGran. She was chuffed to learn that Her OG and Her OzGirl are going to see Eddie in a few weeks. And She and Hana'sGran are going to have time for a lunch before Hana gets here. Never mind that She has trouble getting around, These beloveds give Her a lot of energy.
She made some headway on Her organizing today, but of course She had to order something from a catalog. This place has some really peculiar stuff, if you ask me, but She enjoys being different. I bet half the people look at the stuff, and after She goes home they say what was She thinking?!
When She wants pizza, She will not rest until She gets pizza. That is what is on our dinner menu for tonight, because She had Her heart set on the pizza in an ad that came last week. She doesn't have it delivered, because that means She would have to give a tip to the guy. Luckily, He is a sweetie about picking it up. So long for now, guys.

Leftover Cats
Sometimes, when He and She go out to have some good things to eat with their friends they bring home extra food. They call these boxes leftovers, and She is willing to let me sniffle Her plate, and maybe even have a taste, if there is gravy. Whatever you do, don't tell LW'sMom about this, because she thinks that is - unpleasant. (We are not allowed to say yucky). Well, last night They had a wonderful dinner with Cleo'sPeople, and They both brought home leftovers. She said the food was good, and so was the conversation. When She gets with Cleo'sPeople, They really get some good ideas rolling around. Not that They decide anything, and it isn't really arguing, but it is more interesting than just talking about TV, and if there isn't another topic, She will surely want to talk about Eddie. Most of Cleo's people don't get Eddie the way She does. That topic is more popular with Her OperaGirl and Her other Eddie friends.
He went to a movie with Cleo'sGirls today, while She stayed home and organized. She seems to have Christmas and birthday presents for everyone, which is a disappointment, because She loves to shop for things. She has been thinking a lot about Her Mazie, who will be going to Paris pretty soon. She did so want to take Mazie to Paris when she was old enough, like now, but She is too slow and achy to try it. Well, that's OK, as long as Mazie gets to see the beautiful things there, and especially try the food. Yum, She says. Best food ever. Well, Sy-o-nara for now, guys.

Cher's Catz
Kasey and I belong to Him and Her. She gave a name to my stories, and called them Cher's Catz. I am not too good with fancy spelling, but I think She spelled something wrong. Anyway, we are celebrating a couple of things today. First of all, it is a new month. When She used to be a teacher, this was a vacation month for Her, even when She was working at a summer job. She feels as if teaching is harder than the different kinds of jobs She has had, because you don't need to grade papers, or write lesson plans, or think about your kids all day and night. When work was over, you were done. Of course, now She doesn't go to work at all. Life is a vacation now, Cofs, She says to me. SWhe says She is on borrowed time. I don't know what that means.
Another thing we are celebrating today is that it is Cleo'sDad's birthday. He and She really love Cleo'sDad and Mom. They are going to have some dinner with them at a place She really likes. For awhile, She wasn't sure They would see Cleo'sDad on his birthday, so they gave him his present already. She knew just what to give him. I should remind you that it doesn't matter if the person who gets the present really, really likes it, because what She likes is searching for just the right thing. I believe that is Her favorite thing, after Him and Kasey and me.
Since They won't be home, there is no fish for me tonight. I am working on not caring. Meantime, I'll go and chase my sister. Oddy-ose.
