Far and Near Friends

Today She talked to a good Crone-friend who has moved far, far away - Farther even than Mazie. She calls this friend Betsy. I heard Her on the phone. She was sad when Betsy moved away, but She knows that everything changes. She never gets used to it, but She knows it. She was so very glad to find out that Her friend had a lot of things fixed in her heart. Really in her heart, where the things were stopped up! It sounded very scary to Her, but since Her friend is much better now, She is glad the docs found where the stopping-up was and fixed it.
Then, later, She talked to Mable's Mom, who lives very close. She wanted to have dinner with Mable's Mom, but decided She should stay home and give hugs to Him when He comes home from His school. He is very sad about the way things are going at His school, and She thinks hugs help when you are sad. She told me I cheered Her up with snuggles, so She knows I understand.
She has something very neat for Her nearest friend, Katy's Girl. She can't wait until Christmas to see if she will like it! Katy and her family live right next door, you know. She hopes they don't move away, too. I told Her not to think about it.
Are you hungry? I am very hungry, so I'll be going now, to eat some delicious kibbles. Tata.

Kasey Abides

Yes, Kasey has certainly taken over that Inbox. The trouble is, I like it, too, and I have to wait until Kasey goes to her soft, blue blanket, and then I squeeze in there. Luckily, I can curl up and hardly hang out of it at all. When one of us is in there, She laughs at us. If He starts to open a bag of treats, though, Kasey gets to the table in about three jumps!
He has had some trouble with His school work. He was very sad that He didn't pass a test, and was going to drop that class. His teacher said He just needs some tutoring, and that He should not give up. It bothers Her, because She wants Him to learn how to be retired so they can go places and do things. Can you believe that some people never learn how to be relaxed? I am very good at relaxing, and so is Kasey. It is easy for Her to relax, so She thinks He is missing something. Poor Him.
Another bunch of catalogs came today, so She is in there, turning pages and going hmmmm. She got a very nice book about cats for LW. She got books for each of the Alphas. She likes to have a theme. I guess this time it is books. Kasey says that She better get treats for Her cat. Her Cat, she said! Not Her catS. I think I'll go chase Kasey for that! Farewell.

Get Up and Go

That was what Her day was like! She likes it when She can take care of lots of little things. Makes Her feel as if She has done a lot, instead of a little. In fact, She even went to the store before lunch! It was kind of like a game, looking for things They could eat together, now that He only eats vegetables. Tomorrow, She is making soup with all vegetables, but She will put some meat in it when it is in Her bowl.
Last night They had to choose what to watch on TV. There was a show that had a guy She likes from another show. I don't care what they call him, She said. He will always be Mick St. John to ME. And He just shook His head. Not another Eddie, He said. Oh, no, She said. I just like this guy. I LOVE Eddie! He had to laugh.
Also today, She got a box in the mail. This is the last of Her Christmas shopping, She said. He said good luck with that, because a lot more catalogs came today.
His mother is back in the place where she lives. I wonder why She said drat.
Kasey wants some treats, so I have to go and bother her. (snerk). They think I am the sweet one.

Eddie-Puss-Wrecks

While Kasey was in the Inbox, I jumped up and got a good brushing! Kasey said you had better not have that brush anywhere near me, or I will make a mean face and yow! Still I believe she was jealous, because she stared at Her while She was brushing me. It was all I could do not to laugh!
But really, I want to tell you about the movie we watched today. It was called The Cat's Meow, and Her darling Eddie was in it. He has already seen it a few times, so He went to study His work. But She loved it. Here's the thing - there were no cats in it! Not one single cat. They could have called it A Boatride. She gets all fuzzy when that Eddie is in the picture, so She gave me pets without even paying attention!
Last night They watched a different movie. It was about a man who got to know his neighbors, and he liked them better than his own children. It make Her cry, because the ending was kind of sad. It has been a big weekend for movies so far! At least we had some popcorn. I mainly sleep through the movies, so I am well-rested and ready to stalk things and chase Kasey, whenever she gets out of the Inbox! SLFN (So long for now.)

Cat -Alogs

This is a hard time of year for Her. Today, lots of catalogs came with lots of pictures of things She would like to get for people. Trouble is, She already has things for just about everyone! When She sees something that LW's Mom or Smudge's Mom or the Alphas or Mazie would like, She has to decide. should I get that now and save it for some other time? Or should I get it and give it to them for this year, or............It is really funny to watch Her! He just shakes His head. These are not big things. She would rather give a few small things. Kasey has already told Her not to wait even one more day to get her some treats! Nevermind this Christmas business!
She is making spaghetti for Their supper tonight. While He was at His school, she cooked some meat for Herself, so She would have some for the sauce tonight. It is nice, She says, that He wants spaghetti, with fake meat in it. Before He started eating only vegetables, He didn't ever eat pasta. That is what spaghetti really is, you know. Now, He asked Her to fix it once a week. She is OK with that. She has not read His vegetable book, but if it makes Him happy, She says, let Him make tomato and onion sandwiches on pumpernickle bread.
I'm going to get into the inbox now, because Kasey isn't here. She is sleeping on the clean laundry. TTYL

Our Birthday

Here it is, October already, and Kasey and I have been with Them for two years now! There is something about October that feels kind of exciting to us. I don't know what it is, and neither does She. Kasey doesn't care. It might be that Halloween comes in October. That is a tricky time for cats, you know. We are lucky that we are not black cats! Also, we are indoor cats, so no witches can get us! I am worried about Katy-next-door, though. She is not black, but she is dark gray, and someone might think she is a witch's cat! I will ask Her to tell Katy to stay in on Halloween.
He went to see His mother today. His mother is still in the hospital, but she might go back to the place where she lives tomorrow. I'll let you know. He told them to move her to a smaller room while she was in the hospital. He finally believed Her when She said his mother doesn't know where she is, anyway. Might as well save the money. She is very particular about money. He just wants His mom to be happy. What She says is that would be a miracle! I am not sure about it, because I have never seen His mother. Lucky you, She says.
I believe I will go give Her some snuggles now. Bye, now.

She Forgets

Sometimes, when She is very excited about something, She forgets to leave the computer on when She goes out. That way, I can't write my story! Here's what She was so excited about yesterday: It was Mable'sMom's birthday, and they were going out for dinner with some of their other friends. After that, they were going to Crones, so for Her, it was a really good day. She told Him She had pizza, and I know She brought some home. He can't eat it because of the cheese, but it does have a lot of vegetables. Mable'sMom made her own dessert, which was a magnificent pie, made of chocolate and raspberries! Ooooh, She really liked that! When She got home, it was almost time for a TV show She likes, so there you are. No story.
Today, I tried to get into the inbox nest to see how it felt. It really is nice and soft, and I did fit into it, but my fur stuck out of the little holes on the sides. When Kasey found out, she came and stood there until I got out. She didn't hiss or yow, she just looked at me. Her look said get out of my inbox, you doofus! I pretended I wanted to get out anyway, and went and had a snack.
In fact, that sounds good for right now! Toodle pip (Or poodle tip. Get it?)
