Catch-up Cats

Yesterday was a spectacular day, since it was Mazie's birthday. Do you remember that we sent Mazie a big box of stuff for her birthday? Well, she opened that box with all her family and some friends sitting around, and they had much fun with it. When She put things in it, She sent a devil-face to put on the ketchup bottle and the ketchup comes out the devil's mouth. That is better than the mustard one, where the mustard comes out the gargoyle's nose. If mustard came out my nose, He and She would not think it was funny, but I heard that these funny tops made everyone laugh.
Another nice thing was that His and Her friends from halfway around the world came to visit. The nice thing is that they live here now, and so now they are Sasha's people. Sasha is a little d-o-g but we will be proud to have her as our cousin. On sad thing was that Sasha'sMom did not feel like visiting because she was hurting. After a visit, Sasha's people left to take S'sM to the doctor. We are waiting for a report. It truly warms Her heart to have these beloveds back where She can see them often.
It was kind of sad, too, that a package She had sent to one of Her Eddie-girls didn't get there. There was a glitch on the address, but She got it all straightened out. It is Her wish to cheer up everyone that is hurting.
A lot of new catalogs came today. I had better go and check that She doesn't order too much stuff. Cheery-bye.

Needy Cats

Today She called me a needy cat. All I did was ask Her for a few hundred snuggles. She sure wants to give me pets when I am trying to sleep on Her chair top. You would think I was bothering Her, just by lying on this keyboard while She tries to send messages. After She petted me and brushed me all She was going to, I slept awhile on Her desk in the basket Kasey likes to use. Kasey was needy too. She got up on the desk with me and tried to sniffle me. He and She were laughing about it, and I guess that hurt Kasey's feelings, because she jumped down without eating her treats. Here is the reason I kept bothering Her. She forgot to give me butter this morning. You see, She slept a little late, and went right to Her computer after She got Her coffee. She didn't realize what the trouble was until a few minutes ago, and by now I am kind of salty. I will do better at getting Her up early tomorrow, you can bet on it.
Today is Mazie's birthday, and He and She have been talking about adventures with Mazie all day. They sure love that little girl. She watched some Eddie to keep Herself cheerful, while He had a nap.
Some nice things came in the mail today, including a brush that is supposed to take care of the cat hair on furniture. Hahahaha. Good luck with that. Buh-bye.

Hungry Cats

Even though we have plenty of kibbles, there is something about knowing there is fish for dinner that makes us hungry. Or it least it does that to me. Kasey doesn't share Her dinner - or His either. The most sharing Kasey will do is when She puts some of my butter on a paper for her. Kasey really likes that, but I think she would starve before she would take it off Her finger or Her plate. Don't worry. She washes Her hands after I have had my butter, and She washes Her plate after I have shared something from it.
He and She are excited that it is Mazie's birthday tomorrow. Mazie will be twelve tomorrow, and has grown into a beautiful young lady. It is fun for Her to think about when Mazie was new. We sent her presents in a big box. It will be fun to find out if Mazie liked what is in the box. The next day, Mazie is having a Zombie party. I don't know what that is. I guess She will ask Mazie about it. Then the day after that Mazie is going to a place named Rio. A few years ago, She went there with Mazie's other grandma and had a wonderful time.
Besides the pink fish, She will have that other dessert from the lunch place. It is a good idea to stretch out a really good time like that. She likes to think of ways to make a good time last. That is a good thing. And to be completely sure She is happy, I will give Her some of my world-famous snuggles. Oddy-ose amigos.

Wonderful Cats

You will never believe what a wonderful day this was. Kasey and I actually got to see Hana'sGran with our own eyes. Kasey, who doesn't like company, and who never shows off, played with her green mouse for H'sG. I watched all this carefully, so I could oput it in my story.
Ever since She woke up today, She was chuffed. One of Her favorite people to visit with is Hana'sGran, and one of Her favoite places to get things to eat is the place where they went for lunch. Just as I suspected, She brought home some food, because She needed to have room for dessert. What She picked was a chocolate drink. She says it tastes exactly like a chololate bar, only you drink it. Of course, Her second favorite thing there is those paper pastries with nuts and honey. Since this place is so very far away, She brought a couple of them home, to have when She stops being so full of the other stuff.
She got some news today about Her Italian boys. They are going to be singing here in this country, but not near where we live. She is going to plead with Her beloved OperaGirl to go and hear them, even though they are not OG's favorites. She cannot go to OperaGirl's house again, like She did for Her beloved Eddie, but if She can hear it through OperaGirl's ears, She will be satisfied.
I will go get on Her lap now, and tell Her how glad I am that it is a wonderful day. Toodles.

Retired Cats

Kasey and I decided that if They can be retired, then we can be retired, too. When I told Her, She said how is this different from your usual lifestyle? I said hmph to Her and went to lie down. She will figure it out when a mouse comes in here, or maybe a bug. Meanwhile, She read Her paper from the Retired Teachers people, and told Him that if He murders Her, He won't get his insurance money. He agreed that He would heed that information and not murder Her.
He went back to the doc today about the sore in His mouth. They are going to do a test on it and have Him come back in two weeks. It is lucky that She does not worry about things like that, because some people would wonder about it. You may know that He smoked for a lot of years, and sometimes that gives people trouble with their mouths. I'm glad no one here smokes now. Kasey and I would not like that at all.
One thing that She is happy about is that She and Hana'sGran are going away for lunch tomorrow. They are going to that nice place LW'sMom showed them, and I will bet six kibbles that She brings something home. Mmmmm, I love that.She says she will get that nice dessert that looks as if it is made out of paper, with nuts and honey. Nice day today. I could get used to this retired thing. Chow for now.

Cats in Jeopardy

The name of my story today is really a joke, because jeopardy means danger, and Kasey and I are not in danger. It is about a show He and She like to watch, and its name is Jeopardy. They are chuffed because it comes on now at a time when they can watch it instead of late at night. So today when we were watching it, I got my idea for the joke. (snerk)
We had run out of so much stuff that She needed to go to the store to restock the shelves and the freezer. Luckily, there is a store that sells all the kinds of things we need, so off She went. She looked fine and chipper when I said goodbye to Her, but when She came home She was a wreck. In just a couple hours of shopping, She was too worn out to be hungry - and I am telling you, that is very worn out. By the time She had everything put away, She just collapsed with a glass of tea and watched the news. I heard Her tell Him that when She was so tired that She didn't think She could go another step, She thought of Her beloved Eddie, and how he ran those marathons - and She kept going. She was fine by the time Jeopardy came on. She only has easy things on Her calendar for the next few days.
I had better go get some snuggles, because I think She will fall asleep early tonight. TTYL

Busy Cats

We had a busy day today. After our morning routine, She took care of some business. I don't get into that, because when it is business, She doesn't stop to brush me, so I stay clear. Then She went to visit where Katy'sBoy goes to school and talked to his teachers. She and Katy'sMom worked out how K'sB would start his year at school. While She was out, She ran a couple of errands, which makes Her come home knackered. Thank goodness She didn't start in talking about what She used to be able to do. Kasey and I are kind of sick of that. Well, then I could get my brushing.
There was a decision about how the country was going to solve some problems, so He watched all about that. Mostly while She was not home. The main worry was if His mother would get her money to stay in the place where she lives. It turns out that she will. Whew.
She was thinking a lot about Mazie today. Mazie will be twelve years old on Saturday, and when She thinks about it, it is all She can do not to cry. She is getting too old for the old Lala games. There were big brothers and a sister for Mazie to grow up with, so she is smart for her age. It is time for Her to let this darling girl go. Oh, She will send presents, but maybe not so often, or so big. And She will think about Mazie every day, the way She thinks about the Alphas. That's what She calls LW and her sibs.
Oh, I don't want this story to be sad, because it was a busy day with a lot of good things. Tune in tomorrow.
