Shopping Cats

If Christmas came tomorrow, She would have presents for everyone - except for the ones She bought just today. They still have to be delivered. There were two kinds of things on Her list today. There were things that were bargains too good to pass up, and things She just HAD to have for some of the kids.Do you know, if She won the Lotto and had a whole big bunch of money, She would still shop the sales, the outlets and the free shipping-if-you-buy-enough places. She is a Shopper, with a capital S, although Smudge'sMom gives Her a run for Her money. I don't think She knows, but Kasey and I bought some things for our cousins. She'll find out when the bill comes.
It has been a quiet day, except that He had a problem with the TV, and got all mad, but either He fixed it or it fixed itself, but He was not at all pleased with the problem.Next thing you know He will want a new TV and She will have to cover her mouth so as not to argue, and cover Her eyes so daggers don't come out. (snerk)
We found out Sasha'sMom has something wrong, called shingles. He and She have both had them and they really hurt. We are sending love through the air to help Her get better fast.
We are having kind of a snacks-for-dinner kind of evening, with leftovers and easy things to fix. It is our night for British mysteries. All the cats and people here like those. Nighty-night.

Shedding Cats

Last week, She go a kind of brush that brushes cat hair off furniture, and then you flip a switch and the hair goes int a secret compartment. When you are all through brushing, you open the secret compartment and it is filled with hair. Very magical, in my opinion. I don't share their need to get rid of the hair that I leave on Her chair. It seems to be a nice reminder of how I like to be near Her. But for some reason, They want it gone. Let's make our house presentable again, She says, and He agrees. They started with the fixing guy, and today they got new chair covers. He wants a new rug for under the me-table It looks like we will have to do something about Her computer/Christmas-present room. She is kind of happy that He has all this on His schedule. It is fun to see Him lively again.
Things look kind of quiet today, and I am very ready for fish tonight. She is not fixing that pink fish. Instead She is making what She calls fish and chips. Don't look for potato chips though. She bakes pieces like french fries in the oven covered with spices. not the oven, the potatoes. I guess you could call then french roasted, like some of His coffee. I'm fine with that, but She wants to have cole slaw as well. I will leave that for Him and Her, thanks anyway. Nice end of the week. well, bye for now.

Hot, Dry Cats

Most of the talk is about how hot and dry it is. It's not much better than all that budget stuff that had Her babbling to Herself. It just drives Him and Her crazy because there is nothing they can do about it. Well, to get Their minds off of it, He called the man that fixes things around here, and had him fix the faucet in the bathroom. She has been sad that people who visit them see the broken faucet, and now it is all fixed. It was nice to see the fixing man. He admires us, but doesn't try to touch. That is a good thing.
Later, She took Katy'sPeople to the doctor. At this time of day, the traffic is very bad, as lots of people want to get home from work. Well, they got there in time, the visit with the doc was short, and They had to get back in the traffic again. Since there are four of them in the car, they were allowed to use a special part of the road. It was tricky to get on it, but once they did they zoomed along, past the part of the road where it was solid with cars. Oh, it made Her so glad.
She told me what She is going to make for dinner, and it sounds like something I would like. It has chicken in it, which is almost as good as fish. Speaking of fish, tomorrow is Friday. Stay tuned for some very loud purrs. Toodle Pip.

All About Lunch Cats

No matter what else happened today, the best thing of all was lunch. It is the day when She goes off to have lunch with Her beloved Crones, and it puts a special glow on the day. I would be impressed with the huge bunch of food, myself. They have every kind of food a cat could want there, and lots of nice things for humans. Her favorite part is the friends, though. Even though They all missed Cleo'sMom, who couldn't be there, the group was nice and friendly and full of good conversation. They can have long conversations about all kinds of things. She comes home all full of energy.
Another good thing was the thank you note from Mazie. Mazie told Them how much she liked her box of presents, and put in a lovely drawing. It sure makes you want to give kids presents when they tell you they liked them. You know She has this thing about presents. She collects them when She sees something that is perfect for them. There is sometimes a problem with this plan. When LW'sMom said she liked knitting, She got LW'sM some kinitting stuff. Then knitting lost its charm, so She had to give the knitting stuff away. Besides that, She sometimes forgets what She has and gets more stuff. I fall over laughing when She does that.
Her lunch was so good, and full of variety that She is planning on having cereal for supper. I heard Her tell Him that. Oh, well. I'll look for something to share tomorrow. PipPip.

Easy Rider Cats

It is always nice to hear about our cousins. Today She showed us a story about our cousins Smudge, Frankie and Baby. It was a darling story, and She and I could just picture how everything happened. When we showed it to Kasey, she said You are showing this to me because......? Kasey is a perfect example of a rude attitude. You see, if it isn't about Kasey, she just doesn't care. Never mind. It was a funny story, and She and I are still chuckling.
Then She went on an easy ride with Katy'sMom and Girl. It was good top hear about it. You see, Katy'sGirl will start back to school and her Mom and She have to do something about a teacher. Katy'sGirl is the sweetest thing, and she feels tense about how this teacher treats kids. When She was a teacher, She did not yell at kids or make them feel sad or frightened. Why can't Katy'sGirl get a teacher like that?
Some good news is that Her MaineGirl got the cheer-up package. It took an extra day, but Her MG was cheered up, so that's good. There are some other cheer-up packages out there. I'll let you know when the people get them. What cheers me up is that She feels better, and Her knees have stopped aching so much. It might be the snuggles that did it. I'll go give Her another treatment. Ah-dyoo.
