Raining Cats and Cats

It was really good to see the rain today, but I could have done without the thunder. No, I am NOT scared of thunder, but She wasn't home, and I had no lap to get on for comforting, and I tend to worry about Her. We have been looking for rain for such a long time, and the rain stayed for a long time today. Whew, I was relieved when She got home! He was here, of course, and that was helpful to Kasey and me.
You see, She and Mable's Mom went to a store and bought enough bagels for Her to have every day for 39 days. Then they went and looked for a place to have lunch. The first place was out of something, so they went to the next place. They couldn't find a close place to park the car, so they said it was out of parking places. They finally went to place neither of them had been before, and ordered Her beloved pizza. When Mable's Mom asked for lemon with her water, they said they were out of lemon! Everyone seemed to be out of things today, but they had fun anyway, and went out into the rain, just to enjoy it.
She is home now, and dry, so I believe I shall catch up on some pets. Toodles.

Big Yawn

Oh, this has been a peculiar day! Although He went out and brought home some of her favorite green tea, She has done precious little today. Oh, she sorted things in Her closet, and She got some interesting things in the mail, but She has not gone anywhere interesting today. She is getting Mazie's present ready for her birthday, but this has been a planning day and not so much a doing day.
One fun thing that happened is when He brought in a big box that came in the mail. Kasey got right up[ on top of the box so that She couldn't open it to see what was inside. When They finally coaxed Kasey to jump down, they found the things that were in the box. He took the box out to empty those white little things that come in boxes, and brought the empty box back for Kasey. Oh, she had fun jumping in and out of that box! Then she walked around it and rubbed her face on each corner. When she jumped back in, she found one little white thing that hadn't gotten into the trash, and she jumped out with it in her mouth and batted it around for a long time She and I laughed at Kasey, but then She went to look at catalogs while I decided to have a big yawn and a little nap. She Goes Traveling

What She told us was that She and Cleo's Mom and Mable's Mom were going on an adventure - a trip to Colombia! I admit, I was worried there for a minute, because I don't know where that is, and I wasn't sure she would be back in time to give me snuggles! Well, I can laugh about it now, because She meant they were going to a new restaurant! Whew! She said the people there were very nice, and they took good car of Her and the Moms. She told Him that they gave too much to eat - and I have never heard Her say that before! They ate food the way it would taste in a far-away country, and they felt very pleased with their vacation-that-took-a-couple-of-hours! Yes, they sat there eating and talking for nearly two hours, and the people gave them some fine dessert, and it hardly cost any money, compared to a trip on an airplane.
Since Mable's Mom can't see, it was especially fun for them to have this adventure together.
She needs to check on how Her Eddie did in his running today, and I need to get a big drink of water. So long for now.

Big Thinking and Little Girls

Today They went to Their thinking group and had a lovely time. They had a big question, and everyone was very interesting, She said. She asked something about human nature, and the talk was lively. I think they could have talked a little about Cat Nature, but She said they didn't have enough time. Mable's Mom went with them, and she had a good time, even though she can hardly see anything. Well, you don't need to see to think, and M'sM thinks very well.
They went to a big store after the thinking meeting, and saw Their beloved LW and her sisters. They Put a smile on Her heart, She said. They had lots of hugs and seemed to like their treats. What a happy day, She said. And Her beloved Eddie is running a very important race over in the UK, which is farther than even Mazie's new home. That makes Her very proud of Her Eddie, because he is running to get money for hungry children. She only hopes he is careful and doesn't get a blister or anything.
When They came home, They gave treats to Kasey, so I am going to get some major pets and skritches now. TTYL

A New Cat?

Come on, Coffs, She said, and I jumped up and got a really good brushing today. You know what She always says, don't you? There is enough fur here to make a new cat! She is talking about all the hair in the brush, and we always laugh about that. It was a very long brushing today, and it reminded me of when my mommy used to clean me with her tongue. I was so comfy that I put my paws on Her neck and gave her a little massage while She brushed. It made me think of how nice it is to have good things to depend on. She depends on Him, but also on her other friends - the Moms and the grandchildren. It is easy to keep going, She says, when you know what you can count on. That's the same as depend, you know. Kasey does not get brushings. Don't touch me, she says. And not with that scratchy brush, especially!
One thing She knows She cannot depend on is when things are free. She went to get a free coffee today at McDonalds, but they said the machine was down. She told Him She was really not surprised.
Mable's Mom broke her glasses, so she will go with Her to the thinkers' group. I will have a little snack now, and maybe a snooze. ByeBye.

Vive Gatitos!

Today I am thinking in Spanish, because She went to a Cuban restaurant with Mable's Mom. Did you know that She went to Cuba with a friend of hers, back before Cuba was not our friend? She said She didn't like Cuba all that much at the time, but when She realized there was a revolution going on at the time, well, you could understand. She said people were either rich or poor, nothing in-between, and the poor people were the poorest people She had ever seen. While She was there, She got sick from eating some bad food, so you can see why She had some bad feelings about Cuba. Let Castro have it, She said!
But today She and M'sM thought the restaurant was nice. Here's the funny part: When She ordered a stuffed potato, it was on the sandwich menu, but to Her a stuffed potato is a stuffed potato. When it came, it was actually a potato SANDWICH! She brought some of it home to show Him and they laughed about it. Of course, He couldn't eat it, because it had meat, but He thought it was funny anyway.
This gatito is hungry now, so addy-ose.

Cats and Other Friends

We were thinking about all our friends, and feeling very lucky! It is because our dear friend, Smudge, came over yesterday, and that got us thinking about how many friends we have. Of course He and She are our best friends, but we also love Cleo, even if she is a d-o-g. And she eats our food. But we like to be her friend. And Katy next door. She comes over almost every day, and we look at her through the glass door while she eats the treats They give her. We share friends with Them, even though we don't get to see them a lot. She says that's OK, because She has friends She doesn't see a lot - or sometimes at all! They are Her Eddie friends. She loves Her Eddie Friend in Turkey, because she got Eddie to sign a birthday card for Her. She shows that to everybody. She loves the girls who are Her grandchildren, even though they live all over the world. Our Auntie Lisa lives in Texas, which is where we live, too. She says She hopes to meet Auntie Lisa in person some day. She loves the Eddie friend who She calls Her little sister. That friend lives where Her mom used to live. She is almost as old as She is.
And some of her friends She would like to see more, but they are very busy. So She has Her Crone friends, who are Her favorites, I think. She says Kasey and I are In-the-heart friends. She says we keep her going! Let's hear it for friends! YAAAY!

The Three Muske-Cats

Or, like She says, the three amigos. I know you have been waiting to see how our visit with Smudge worked out. Well, I won't keep you in suspense any longer. Smudge was a wonderful houseguest, and we will like to have his company when his people go on a trip! He came out of his carrier, and he sniffled all over the place, just to check things out. After awhile, he went behind the TV armoire, and Kasey and I went as close as we could to keep him company. When She called him, he came out and got some pets. As you probably guessed, Kasey was rude and hissed at him, although she was interested in the treats his Mom brought. I stayed close to Smudge, and showed him some good hiding places. We were in Her closet when his Mom came to get him. I like to hide there, too.
After Smudge and his Mom went home, He and She watched a DVD of a play, and She laughed at most of it, but then She cried at the ending, because it broke her heart the way it ended. Well, I needed to jump up and give her some snuggles, and now she is fine. The cats in the play had fleas. Maybe that's why She was so sad.
I will go and see if She is still feeling OK, and if She is, I'll have a little snooze. Poodle Tip (Get it?)

Thunder and Wet Stuff

Please do not think I was scared of the thunder today. Kasey and I were playing Who is The Best Cat when the thunder started. I knew She would be concerned, so I jumped on Her lap to give Her snuggles. She said She was happy that it was raining, so we went and looked out the back door. Everything was all wet, and the sky was dark. We had to go turn on the light so She could see Her crossword puzzle - and it's the middle of the day. Kasey went to curl up on her blue comfy blanket. I believe she was scared of the thunder. (snerk)
He had to go pay a parking ticket that He got at His school when He was having His thinking problems. They said He left His car running, and He got a ticket for that. He said He didn't remember doing that, and She said that just proves how far He was from reality at that time. He seems to be fine, now. He has decided to eat only fruit,vegetables, beans and soy things. He told us He would keep getting the same kind of kibbles for us, so I am not too worried.
I am so excited that Smudge is coming tomorrow. I will tell you all about it. Bye for now.

She Had Fun

What a day She has had! She went to lunch with Mable's Mom and Smudge's Mom, and then they went far away to Sealy to visit with Juliette's Mom and her sister. It was a wonderful afternoon, She said, because Juliette's Mom was happy and cheerful, even though she told Her that she paid for her funeral today. When She hears things like that, it puts a lump in Her throat, because the time is getting shorter. Juliette's Dad came home from work, and She had a nice visit with him, as well. So She came home happy and feeling comfortable with the thought of J's Mom being ready to go.
We also got a note from our Auntie Lisa, which we will have to tell Her about, because it was a really nice note. One thing She and Aunt Lisa have in common is that they both love the guy named Eddie that always cheers Her up when She is feeling bad about Juliette's Mom's sickness, and about Mazie moving away. She tells Him that her Eddie can make the sun come out at midnight! Do you really think that could happen? Sometimes She sounds serious when She jokes!
She IS serious about Smudge coming to visit us! It will be in a couple of days, and if we get along really well with Smudge, he will come visit us when his people are on vacation. I am so anxious! I think I'll have some kibbles now. Chow.

Coffee With Coffee

Today She went to have coffee (the drink) with some of Her friends. She loves to do that. Then, when She cam home, She decided to have some more coffee, and I got on Her lap and it went like this: Drink a sip - skritch the cat - drink a sip - skritch the cat. Well, it went on like that until Her coffee was gone, so I climbed up under Her chin and settled down for a nap. She feels better today, because her friends make her glad she has so many blessings. She saw a guy at the coffee-place that used to help Him when the guy was still in school. He has grown into a handsome young man, She says, and He was happy to hear about him.
One thing He has decided is to only eat vegetables - not dairy products or meat or eggs. She is sad about that, because She doesn't think it is healthful, but He is all excited about it now. He says it will help His illness, where he can't have sugar. She says He will have to manage this new plan on his own, so we wonder how long it will last. I'll tell you one thing - If he gets His thinking problem again, She is going to feed him Meat and cheese!
I hear Kasey looking for some fun, so I'll go fight with her. Toodles.

Brave She

You will not want to be around Her today. First thing that happened was that Mazie's Dad called to say he was being transferred to a place REALLY far away. Farther, even, than where they live now. So He gave Her lots of hugs after that, and She tried not to cry, because it is a good thing for Mazie's Dad. She won't see Mazie after they move, and that leaves a hole in Her heart. She was being very brave, when She got some more morning news. You know LW was just visiting her Bubbe? Well, today, LW's Bubbe went to the hospital, which is a place where doctors help you - kind of like the vet. Remember when He went to the hospital? Well, LW's Bubbe is a special friend to Him and Her, and here She is, going along with a sad heart, and then She hears THIS. She says She is sending love to them, and so is He. She doesn't want snuggles right now, because they don't help her be brave. She says she is too sad to count Her blessings right now, but she will do that later. Kasey and I will play chase later. That always makes Her smile.
I guess I'll find a comfy place to have a nap until She feels like having snuggles. Bye for now.

A Cat's Life

I was only able to sleep about ten hours today, because Kasey was very excited and wanted to play chase. She turned her nose up at the butter again today. I think she realized that I was laughing at her and she just sniffled it and walked away. Kasey may have gone back later, though, while I was stalking things, because the butter was gone. Or maybe She just took it away. Anyway, not so funny today. I did get worn out playing chase, and I was relieved when Kasey went into Her closet and climbed around.
You see, She has a closet where she keeps all the presents She gets for people for their birthdays. She buys things when She sees just the right thing, and saves it. She kept all Smudge's girl's 18 presents in there, and when She got them out, She left the door open. That's how Kasey got in there. I hope she didn't rumple up the other things in there - because Smudge's Mom has a birthday soon, and so does Deena's Mom, and they don't want paw prints and cat hair on their birthday presents.
The best thing is, They had salmon and asparagus for Their dinner, and I looked so hungry that She gave me some salmon. She would not share Her asparagus, though.

Cat Chuckles

I am laughing SO hard today, because Kasey has fallen in love with the butter. She still won't take it from Her finger, but She fixed it like She did yesterday, on a little dish, and Kasey just lapped it up! All this time she turned her little pink nose up at it! I am glad I know how to laugh!
It was also funny today, because Their litter-box got stuck. They don't use litter, They use water in Their box, and the water would not work. They had to call a guy to put a snake in it. When I heard that, I was very interested, because I wanted to see the snake. Well, it was nothing but a kind of metal tube. It wasn't a snake at all. I went into the closet, so they wouldn't hear me laugh at the fake snake. Get it?
The snake guy is gone and the litter boxes get water in them again. Come to think of it, I need to visit MY litter box. TTYL.

Told Ya So

Didn't I tell you things would be better today? He took only the right pills last night, and this morning He was already better. We can breathe a sigh of relief, and hope we have him back for good this time. It makes all the difference in Her attitude when He is fine.
She went to have coffee (the drink) with some of Her friends. She said it was delicious coffee, and Her friends were good medicine for Her. She was in good spirits when She came home, and told me that She got sympathy for Her scratches that I gave Her. They look bad today, but She says they don't hurt - just make Her look brave and strong. I think that is a joke.
She brought the present that She got for Smudge's girl for her 18th birthday. Smudge's family is going to visit their girl and give her the present. She says it is sort of a joke, because there are 18 different little things - nothing big - and they are in a bright pink bag. She had fun wrapping them all up and writing numbers on them. Of course, I helped Her. Kasey did not.
But Kasey DID do something funny today. Since She didn't eat Her bagel today, because of Her plans, She melted some butter to put on Her finger for me. When I was through, Kasey went over and sniffled the butter - and then licked some up! Kasey really liked it. I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow. Must have a nap now. Toodle Pip

Cat-a-Pology

I had to give Her lots of extra snuggles today, because I did something bad. When I was on Her lap earlier, I started to jump down, lost my pawing, and gave Her a big scratch with my back claws! I felt just terrible, and for a moment, I was afraid She would be angry, but She just said Ow. I almost forget I have claws in the back, because I don't use them for anything. So I had to give her snuggles for a long time, and one or two massages. She told me it's alright, Coffee. Thanks for the snuggles, but I have things to do. So after a few more snuggles, I jumped down. I was very careful this time.
She needs lots of snuggles, because He is having some more thinking problems. Not as bad this time, but She is searching His medicine again. He can tell Her He feels dizzy. Not dizzy, exactly, He says, but She knows he means confused. She is so glad They have had some really great times together, because She is really afraid that things are changing in Their lives. It makes me feel sad to see tears in Her eyes, especially after I gave Her a scratch. I will bet you a spoonful of kibbles that things are better tomorrow! Check back and see. So long for now.

Maybe Smudge!

When She read Her emails today, there was one from Smudge's Mom that made Her all excited! Smudge's family is looking for a place for Smudge to stay while they go away. She thinks maybe they can have Smudge here with us! I think I would like that, but we are going to try it out first. Smudge has claws, and we don't, but She says Smudge would never hurt us. Kasey will probably not care if Smudge is here, as long as her blue blanket is in place. She is not a good hostess, you know. She tends to be rude. I am excited to see how this works out!
They went away today to talk to one of His doctors. The doctor is very nice, and helps Him see how to deal with His mother. The trouble is, He doesn't like hurting his mother's feelings, but She says there are things that need to be done, like moving her to a smaller room to save money. I am glad I don't have to decide things like that. I have told you that She is fussy about money, and the doctor says She has the right idea about His mother. She says the doctor is brilliant. Then She laughs, so it might be a joke.
Katy came over for treats today. I guess she wanted a rest from those kittens!

A New Week

Well, we have new kittens next door and Smudge's Mom has whispered in the kittens from her yard, so this has been a really successful weekend for cats! I could rest better, too. I woke up ready to chase Kasey and make her yow. It was OK, because She had to get up anyway and go to hear a man talk about being a UU. She likes to be a UU, but says She is not entirely comfortable with what She calls god-talk. Everyone is trying to include all the different beliefs, She told Him, except the UU, pure and simple. I am not sure what all this means. I just liked it better when She was happy with Her UU.
Mable's Mom and She went to eat lunch at a place where they give you a really lot of food, so they put it in boxes to take home. Mable's Mom gave her box to Her to take home for Him. Mable's Mom is very nice that way, and He loved the extra food. They ate it for Their supper. I didn't get a taste, because it didn't seem like I would want it. I just stayed on the back of the couch and saw them enjoying it. It was fine.
This is the beginning of a really nice week, I think. LW's family is coming home, and She is dancing about that! I'll tell you more about it tomorrow. sye-o-narra.

Clever Coffee

I don't like to boast, but I am a good detective! There were kittens, alright, and She was the midwife! She wore rubber gloves and everything! Here's what happened: Katy's Mom called Her and said that Katy was having the kittens, but that she wasn't staying in one place. Katy was wandering all over, and had already had one kitten who died, because Katy didn't stay and clean it up and give it her milk. When She heard that, Her idea was to put Katy in the cat-carrier with a soft towel, until all the kittens got through being born. Let me tell you, when She came out with that carrier, I went and hid! I didn't know it was for Katy, yet! So She put on some rubber gloves and put Katy and the second kitten in the carrier, and the little guy got a good bath and some nice milk. A while later, here came kitten number three. Katy had two more kittens in the carrier, but then she was hungry, so her Mom let her out to eat and have a big, big drink of water. She has four kittens left, and they all had some milk and a nice bath. It is too hot for the kittens to stay in Katy's garage, She said, so Katy and her new family moved into the bathroom in their house. I will keep you posted about how they are doing. Let me know if you want a kitten, and I'll tell Katy's Mom. I'm knackered right now, so - naptime. Toodles.

Kittens?

OK, I'm predicting kittens today! Here's why: Katy's Mom called Her and said that Katy was acting strange. She looked as if she wanted a place to hide. Katy tried to squeeze her big timmy behind the washer, but she wouldn't fit. She was searching all around her garage, and when her Mom went in the house for just a few seconds, Katy was gone when she came back out. Well, I'm a cat, and I know a few things bout mom-cats. For one thing, they like privacy when they have their kittens. So when Katy tried to hide, that was a clue. Another was that she checked out the laundry basket where she kept her other kittens that time. When She tells me that the kittens are here, I won't be surprised. She told Katy's Mom to put an ad in the Green Sheet to ask people to adopt the new kittens. That is a kind of newspaper. And She told Katy's Mom that She and Her friends were going to take Katy to get fixed. That would mean no more kittens. Otherwise, Katy's Mom will have to give her away. That would be so very sad, because Katy loves it here, and her boy and girl love her.

Living with Him

I have noticed something that makes living with Him especially nice.Whenever He has to correct us or scold us for something, he always says, I love you, but..............That is especially nice, and why He is a good Dad for Kasey and me. We sometimes get in the way here, and sometimes we make a mess by gacking up a hairball, or leaving a lot of our fur on the chairs. We never worry that They will say They don't have time for us! They will never give us back to the espeeceeay. I feel sorry for cats that don't get enough kibbles and come here for some extras. I feel sorry for Smudge's cousins that live outside where it is really hot, and only Smudge's Mom to give them things to eat. Kasey and I are lucky cats, believe me!
This is the second day that Katy didn't come over for brunch. Her husband with the fluffy tail came without her again. She saw Katy's Mom outside, but Katy's Mom was on the phone, so She didn't have a chance to ask her. I am betting those kittens are here! Maybe Katy's girl will come over and tell us later.
I have been stalking things today, and must get back to it. Bye now.

Juliette's Mom

Today She and Her friends went far away to visit Juliette's Mom. She lives in a place named Sealy. I guess there are a lot of seals there. Anyway, Juliette's Mom is quite sick, and She says that J'sM will never get better. It makes Her sad, but She told Him She loves the way J'sM has a good attitude. Lots of Her Crone sisters went to Sealy and brought good things to eat. They had a lovely visit, She said. She and Mable's Mom will go back in a couple of weeks, if J's M feels up to it. Maybe, when Smudge's Mom feels better, she will go, too. Today was a good chance to tell J's M that we love her and will miss her when she dies. We also said we would keep in touch with Juliette's Dad. He will be lonesome then. He and She are glad that the people have Juliette and Tovick to keep them company. It will be a comfort to J's Dad, who is very nice.
Katy did not come by to eat her extra brunch today. Could she be busy having kittens? I'll let you know. Anyway, She and Mable's Mom will take Katy to get her kitten machinery fixed as soon as they can.
I was glad to have Him home today. It was very pleasant around here. I found a new favorite place on the tall chair, so I will go there now and have a little rest before kibbles. Chow.

Pizza Cat

We were SO ready to celebrate, because He is finished with His school! He won't have to get up so early, and be in school and tutoring, and be at His desk studying! She is so happy, too. I guess She doesn't like the way he acted. He has been distracted and needs more rest. He forgets that He is an old man, She says. He doesn't know He is an old man, and She doesn't like Him to think about it. Well, the thing is, She asked Him what He wanted for a celebration supper, and guess what He said! Pizza! That make her tickled pink, because pizza is Her favorite thing to eat, and they can't eat it so much, because of carbs. I don't know what that means, just that carbs are bad for Him. But for this special occasion, it was pizza for supper. I just got a taste of the cheese, but we were all so happy that it didn't matter if I liked it! Kasey wouldn't touch it. But then, Kasey is a rude cat, and doesn't know how to celebrate.
Still no kittens for Katy. Her tummy is enormous. And guess what Smudge has! Some cousins that live in his yard, and might get coaxed to come in and be pals with him. His Mom is good at getting cats to trust her. I trust her! Going to watch TV now, on Her lap. Toodles.

Counting Down

Last night, She made her mind up to get to the store in time to get Her favorite bagels. She really depends on those bagesl, but they have to taste just so. So today, She got dressed and went out very early - and STILL they had only eleven of her favorites! Well, that's better than nothing, She said, and I will be happy to have some butter from one of them tomorrow!
She is very happy that He only has one more day to go to his school for this summer! His school started when He had His thinking problems, and She con't forget those awful days. He read Her one of His problems from his practice test, and She was sure it was more complicated than anything a person would have in real life. And She is a teacher, too! One more day to go! She could just yow, she is so glad!
Katy has not had her kittens yet. She came over for breakfast with her husband. He sure has a fluffy tail for a shorthair cat! Maybe that's why Katy loves him. I can't wait to see if her kittens have fluffy tails!
I am sending a big bunch of purrs to Smudge's Mom, because she feels sick today. When She doesn't feel good, purrs always cheer Her up. That is why I'm sending purrs. TTYL (Purrrrrr)

Cats and People

Kasey was yowing again, early this morning. They love Kasey, but They are not interested in hearing her yow so early on a Sunday. I guess she just wanted Them to get up, because as soon as They did, she stopped yowing. It was pretty quiet for awhile, They were reading the paper and She was having Her bagel, so everything was fine. Then She came in here to check Her messages, and Kasey and I ran around and BOOM! I knocked the radio off the table ledge. Well then I was doing the yowing! The radio made a big noise, and I don't like big noises! Or even little noises, to tell the truth. They couldn't figure out what I was yowing about, because I don't usually yow. She picked me up and carried me back to the dining room, and then She saw the radio on the floor. She was not mad at me. She gave me a lot of snuggles and said oh, poor Cofster, how scared you must have been! Then I stopped yowing and went to have a nap. Kasey was long gone, and pretended to be sound asleep on her blue blanket. She didn't know we weren't in trouble. (snerk). I am really glad about the people we have! I bet Katy will have her kittens tomorrow. Tata for now.

(Stay) Cool Cat

Everyone should have a day like this every once in awhile. We are just chilling out, which is a good thing, because of the hundred-degree weather we have had. We are all staying in, because we have tasks to do here at home, and we can stop and snooze if we want to. I got done chasing Kasey, and found a cozy place to have a rest. Kasey is on His desk, while He does His studying. She is taking care of routine things, but has taken a break to watch Comedy Central. There is a comics marathon, and She likes comics. I think She is going to invent something to do with the left-overs, and I know He will like it, because He likes what She creates. He says that if he liked it the first time, what's not to like when it's left over. Personally, I like kibbles, and always the same kind. No food inventions for me. I DO like to check on what They are eating, though, in case it is salmon or tuna or something like that. Just a taste is all I ask for.
I heard Her tell Him that Smudge's Mom has something wrong and can't talk very loud. They both sent energy to Smudge's Mom, because everyone should be comfy and not have a bad throat! I hope S'sM gets a chance to chill out today, like us. Later, gator.

Inventing Dinner

Here's what She did: She rummaged around and found ingredients that might taste good, and She made up a recipe for Their dinner. First, She found some bacon. She cooked it in the microwave. Then She found some old crunchy things that you put on salads. They were stale, and She started to throw them out, but didn't want to be wasteful. She located six eggs and a package of grated cheese. She whipped up those eggs with a whisk. When She whisks eggs, She counts to 100, to make sure they are good and mixed. She put all those things together, and what do you know! She cooked up a kind of good supper! He liked it, and the little taste I had was yummy in my tummy. ( I am copying Her saying that.)
It was better than the leftovers She was going to have - but He is bound to get those another time, I am sure!
When Katy came over to get her extra breakfast today, Kasey put her nose out the door and Katy put her little face in. They were nose to nose - then guess what Katy did! She biffed Kasey right on the nose! Kasey was very insulted and ran away to her blue blanket. I guess you don't bother a kitty that is waiting for kittens to come! I will go watch some TV now. Bye.

Life and Death

It has been a sad day for Her and the other Crones, because their very dear friend is not going to get better. That is Juliette's Mom, who is so loved by everyone. Next week, She says, a lot of the Crones are going out to have lunch with Juliette's Mom at her house, because she is not well enough to come to their usual lunch place. It is hard for Her to get used to the idea, but She respects J's Mom's decision to just let go of life, and the bad disease that she has had for a long time. No one really knows how much time there is left for her, but everything is changed now that She knows that there is no use planning. You know, when Katy's kittens died, it was very fast. One minute they were fine, and a little later, they were not here anymore. This is very big for a cat to work out, but She will help me. She says life includes dying. Sometimes it is fast, sometimes slow, sometimes a blessing and sometimes, like Katy's kittens, it is a terrible waste.
Now that He started taking the right medicine, He is thinking right again. That makes Her feel better, at least.
Katy has gotten up from her blue blanket. I believe I will chase her awhile. Addy-ose.

Problems?

When She woke up today, She was very distracted with problems. First of all, He was having thinking problems again, and that makes Her upset. Then, the TV remote stopped working last night. Also, there was a problem with her bank. She was not in a good spirit to go to lunch with Her Crones at this lovely cafe.
WELL, She couldn't let problems spoil Her Crones-time, so She went right into problem-solving gear! She called Comcast and got the remote fixed. She had to push a certain series of buttons, and the guy in India walked Her through it, She said. Then She called the bank and got the right answer from them. That left Her with His problem. She went into his medicine and saw that the pharmacy had given him more of the medicine He needed to quit, and He had been taking it! She took it out of his pill organizer, and took the bottle away! He should be fine by Friday!
So the lovely Crones-time was everything She wanted, except She missed some people, but She had a great time with the people who were there. She brought home treats for Him, but sadly, no tuna or shrimp. Oh well, I'm just glad She's happy again! TTYL
