License Cats

Kasey and I have licenses, and they are on the collars She got us. We don't wear them, since we stay inside all the time. She needs a license, too. When you drive a car, you must have a license, and when a policeman stops you, you have to show it to him. Hers has run out of time, and so She had to go and get a new one. She said there were a gazillion people there, but She got called pretty fast. Lots of young people were waiting to take the test of skill at driving. She is so glad She doesn't have to take that.This new license will be good until She is 84 years old - if She is still alive then - and She guesses She would have to take a test to see if She still had the right skills. They also took a new picture. She says She will drive like an angel so She doesn't have to show that picture to a policeman. It makes me look old and mean, Cofs, She told me. Oh, well. All the better to threaten people with, if She ever has to.
Hana'sGran got an eye operation like the one She got. She was thinking about H'sG all day and hoping her operation was going as well as Hers went. It was tiresome going through it, but now that it is over and She can see very well, She thinks Hana'sGran will be as happy as She is.
Tonight They will eat the stuff that was left after Their celebration dinner. I will be very glad to help. (snerk)

Outback Cats

Does the name of this story make you think Kasey and I went into the back yard? Well, it wasn't us, but it was He and She who went to a place named Outback. I told you They had to celebrate making that last payment on Our house, so They went to a place They both like very much. They ate part of a giant onion that looked like a flower, and He even brought some home, along with part of His meal. She brought home some meat that is on bones, and I can't wait until tomorrow! I will help Her get the meat off those bones.
Before any of this celebrating, He and She went to hear LW'sMom talk at Their old church. They said She was a prefect delight to hear, and She got hugs from all the sisters. LW'sBrother wasn't there. He was sleeping, because he had a hard weekend in an arguing contest. They do that for the school, and LW'sB is very good at it.
So it was a very nice day, with a good start and a good end. I will get on Her lap while She watches some TV, and tells me what a good cat I am. It is the least She can do when She didn't fix any tasty dinner tonight. Good night, readers.

Flexible Cats

Kasey and I are both very flexible. That means we can get in some complicated positions, and we don't get sore muscles like They do. But He and She are flexible in a different way. They can change their plans and still be just fine. It is much harder for me to change my plans, and Kasey won't change hers at all. The point is, They had planned to go out for dinner to celebrate the final payment on Our house. He worked hard doing muscle stuff all day, and by the time to get ready, She could see He was really knackered. Let's go tomorrow, instead, She said, and He thought that would be much better. The main part of this event was paying for the house, and that part is done. All the people who call on the phone and want to give them new payments on the house get quite a surprise. Not many people have a house all paid for.
She is kind of glad to stay home, to tell you the truth. She wants to go and see LW'sMom be a minister at Her old church, and it will be easier if She gets a chance to rest tonight. Since She thought She was going out for dinner, She is scrambling around, looking for something to fix. I'll go and help Her look, and tell you about it tomorrow. Chow, Bellas.

Seeing-Eye Cats

Yesterday was all about Her eyes. She is getting used to not needing glasses for most things, except for the computer and Her crossword puzzles. The doc said She didn't need any specially made ones. She now has a bunch of glasses for that and She got them out of Her catalogs. She has to get used to seeing Herself in the mirror, because She doesn't look right to Herself. Well, Cofs, She says, this is how I look, so get used to it. I don't care how She looks at all. Brushing, pets, snuggles - all eyes-closed activities. It will be a year before She needs to go back to see the eye-doc. She will miss the nice rides with Him. They would laugh and talk on those long rides to the doc, and lots of times, They would stop for treats. Well, There will still be treats. For instance, tomorrow night They are having a special dinner to celebrate that Their house is all paid for.
When She retired, She was very busy with many things. Mazie lived here then, and there were lots of jobs at Her church. She liked to go and play with LW'sSibs, and there were friends who used to go for lunches with Her. Then LW came along, and She was so glad that She had time to play with all those children. She had a black-and-white cat. Everything changed when She started falling down. Now She mostly stays and plays with us. It makes Her get bummed sometimes. I'll go and get on Her lap. That always cheers Her up. Later, Gator.

Band-Aid Cats

Today She went to the doc, and when She came home, She was full of these things called Band-Aids. There must have been a dozen of them. You see, She has these little things all over Her neck which the doc calls tags. No one knows how She got them, they just started popping out a few years ago, and now She has about a million of them. Her regular doc didn't want to take them off, because they looked peculiar. The doc sent Her to someone who specializes in skin. It was rainy and nasty out, but She is brave, so She went pretty far to this skin doc. When She got there, the nurse said that insurance wouldn't pay for them, because they are not dangerous. They just look bad. She was ready to turn around and go back home, but the doc came in and said they might be dangerous, and cut off a big bunch of them, and sent them off to be investigated. That's very clever of that doc, but if She gets a bill - well, it's a good thing that doc has lots of Band-Aids, that's all I can say.
Tonight, when She goes to the meeting of Her Crones, She will be covered in Band-aids, and everyone will be glad for Her. That's the best thing about Crones! So Crones means no supper to share. I guess it's OK. But I am looking forward to tomorrow. Toodle-Pip.

Nice Dry Cats

Even though it was very rainy outside, Kasey and I were nice and dry in our house. There was supposed to be a guy here to fix the windshield on Her car, but he didn't come before He and She needed to leave to go to Their Thinking People. It turned out that someone had given Him the wrong information, so They had to leave without Her poor car getting fixed. Oh, it turned out it was a good thing, because the insurance had a question, so they wouldn't have paid. Now Her windshield will have to have the crack in it awhile longer.
He was kind of grumpy with all this mix-up. Every time He has a new idea, He gets very prickly, in case anyone doesn't like it. Her feelings were hurt a few times today, but She understands how He is and gets over it. Then later, He is very sweet again.
Another problem today is about Their dinner. There was supposed to be a box yesterday that had nice meat in it. Well, it didn't come, so She didn't have anything to fix that He could eat. The company said it would come today, but so far -- no box. It was nice that She saw Her beloved Thinking People, or it would not have been a nice, dry day for Her. Sy-O-Nara, friends.

Paid-Up Cats

He and She have lived in this house for a really long time. Since before any of His and Her grandchildren were born - except for Eddie, but he is just an honorary grandson. Well, before the next month starts, this house will be all paid for. She won't have to take a big chunk of money every time Her pay comes. All They have to do is to put money aside to pay the taxes. She is fine with that. I am hoping that this will take away some worries, because She tends to worry about money. You know how She is. What seemed like an ordinary day was actually quite special. She said there are lots of people who can't pay for their houses, and have to go live in their cars. Kasey really wouldn't like that.
I guess the last payment cheered Her up, because She feels more chipper today. Here's another thing that cheered Her up - His blood test for too much sugar was a very good number. Cofs, She said, I have lots of smiles today. I celebrated by giving Her an extra bunch of snuggles. She is going to be nice and cheery for the Thinking People tomorrow.
I'll go see what She is fixing for a special supper! Odd-you, cheres.

Sun and Fun Cats

There is a piece of sun that comes in our window almost every afternoon. It is the window by the table with the chairs. Whenever the sun is there, I go and have a nap on it. Never mind if the weather is hot or cold, I am in my sun spot She says I must be getting my vitamin d. I don't know what that is, but it sounds healthy. After awhile it goes away, and I am ready for some fun.
You should hear Him and Her while they talk about what a nice time They had visiting Cleo'sPeople. This is what fun is, Cofs, She told me. It means having a perfect dinner and some especially good conversations. Usually, She only stays at a place for an hour or so, but last night, They had so much fun that I thought They were never coming home. When They are with their special people, She forgets that She can't get around very well, and that time goes by faster. That happens withSmudge'sMom and Hana'sGran as well. Oh, and Kasey and me, of course.
She intended to go to Her old church and hear a friend who was doing the music, but She felt so tired and full of aches and pains that She decided to stay home. That is not the way She wants to have people see her.
After big helpings of Their favorite foods last night, They are planning simple food for our dinner. I'm thinking sandwiches. Oh, well. Bye, now.

Message Cats

This morning, I looked at my dish and there were only a couple of broken kibbles in there. I meowed, but nobody came to see what was wrong. He was working in the garage, and She was chatting with Her friends - and I was starving. The only way to get my bowl filled up was to get a message across. You see, I can write in human talk, but I can't say it out loud. I came in and jumped onto the back of Her chair. She thought I wanted brushing. I let Her brush me awhile, but then I jumped down. After a few minutes, I jumped up on Her again. this time I lay on Her shoulder, so She couldn't keep writing. I finally jumped down. I came back and lay on the keyboard and made a real nuisance of myself, I am proud to say. At last She got the hint that something was wrong, and She followed me to my sad pathetic food bowl. Aha. She got it, and filled my bowl up to the top. I am really good at sending messages.
He and She have gone to Cleo'sPeople's house for their dinner. I will tell you about that tomorrow. But for now, dear readers, I have to go find a good lookout spot to be sure the house is safe while they are gone. Oh, it may look like I'm asleep, but I will be watchful, you can be sure. Lucky Cats

We have a cousin in a place very far from here, and his name is Lucky. She says it is because he is all black, and black cats used to be bad luck, according to stories. Our cousin is not bad luck, so his people named him Lucky. But that's not why Kasey and I are lucky cats today. Yesterday there was a cat on the news who got shot by an arrow. The cat looked just like me, which made Her especially sad. The arrow went all the way through the cat and came out the other side, but that cat did not die. Someone found him and took him to the cat doc, and they carefully took that arrow out. Can you believe this? It didn't harm anything important on the cat's insides. He will stay at the doc until he's all better, and then they will find him a home like ours. It made us know he was really lucky, and Kasey and I are lucky that They keep us safe inside. Do you know who is not lucky? The guy that did that to the poor cat. If He ever caught him, the guy would wish he had never shot that arrow.
We are all rested up for a busy week next week. Every day has something on the page, so He and She will be glad they are all rested up. It has been really nice having them home, believe me.

Purr Cats

Do you know that She has never heard Kasey purr? He says He hears her sometimes when Kasey is very comfy and everything is quiet. As for me, She says I am a purr factory, making purrs 8 hours a day. I purr very loudly. I guess it is because I am much bigger than Kasey. Also, I am very happy a lot of the time. I purr when I get brushed, and when I get pets, and when I am eating pizza or fish.
If I am asleep and She starts to pet me and I don't purr, She knows there might be a little nip in store. That is when I am quite sound asleep.
I have told you before, this is a nice place to live. There is always food and a soft place to nap. Our litter is clean, and if a cat needs a skritch, there is usually one to be had. We rarely get scolded, and never with loud shouts. I hope He and She know how happy Kasey and I are. There are some people and cats who are never satisfied with their lives - always wanting more stuff. I believe that we should be glad for what we have. I know She is grateful that Her health is good, even if Her knees are ouchy. Next week, for example, She has something to go to every day, and She will be glad She can get around for those things. I am about to purr right now, so I'll say farewell.

Techno Cats

When it was Christmas, He and She got a nice present from LW and her family. It was a magic picture frame where They could see all kinds of pictures that people put on it from far away. They were chuffed, and tried to make it work, but in all this time it never worked. For old people, They are pretty good with computer stuff, but this machine was a puzzle to them. The people at the company where LW got it were very nice and helpful, but it was making Him upset, which makes Her upset. She was in tears today when She had to tell LW'sMom that She wanted to give it back. Presents are supposed to make you happy, not make you cry and feel foolish. She knew LW'sMom would understand that. LW'sMom is a fine Minister, so she knows how to make people happy.
There was almost a problem with Katy'sPeople. Katy'sGirl had an appointment on Saturday, but She had not put it on Her page for that day. Katy'sMom called to say it was cancelled, which was really lucky! It was almost a problem, but it got fixed before it was. You can be sure She wrote the next one down, right while they were talking on the phone.
Since She is a little bummed right now, I'll go and give Her some snuggles. She can never resist feeling better after that. Cheers.

Calendar Cats

On Her desk is this little book with pages that tell you what month it is and what is planned for each day.She writes in pencil unless something WILL NOT be changed, like His birthday at Cleo'sPeople'sHouse. Sometimes this little book is so full of notes that remind Her to do something that you can hardly find a space to write anything. Today, the day was pretty empty, but still, some good things happened. There were some interesting notes from Her friends, and She even got a phone call from a friend She knew when they were in high school, to tell Her that she had become a great-grandmother. How could a couple of cute young things like us be old enough to be great grandmothers? I heard Her say. That was very puzzling. Then He made an appointment to go to the doc for an examination of His insides. It will be at 6:00 in the morning, and She hopes She will be awake to drive him.
He and She looked at a picture of a pillow that you put on your chair, and it helps you stand up. That would surely make Her life easier. It might keep Her from looking like a great-grandmother (snerk).
It will be chicken tonight, because there is some left over from when He brought it home when She felt pew. She'll enjoy it more tonight. So will I. TTYL

Day Off Cats

If you read my stories, you will notice that I took the day off. The reason is, nothing was happening that belonged in a story. She was feeling pew, you see, and it was all I could handle to keep Her cheered up and comfy. Most of the time She was very, very cold. She needed a warm cat to keep Her hands warm and toasty. I am not used to Her being cold, and then hot. Even He thought She felt warm on the face. I made sure She had lots of snuggles while He went to see a guy, and He made sure She had Her tea with honey. He even brought some food home so She didn't have to fix anything. It was chicken, and I can tell you, it was quite tasty. Kasey, who doesn't care two pins about Her, actually came and had a nap on the couch, pretty near to us..The TV and the phone quit working, so Her computer probably did as well. When it came back on, She watched some show about people winning prizes for their movies and shows. She didn't much care. She just sat there and petted Her cat, which was me. Here's the good part. When She woke up today, She felt just fine. This has happened before, and She gives credit to me and the flu shot that the doc made Her get. I knew She was all better when She told me it was probably cat-scratch fever. Honestly - it was only a little scratch! Chow for now.

Comfy Cats

When Kasey and I woke up this morning, it was so cold that the grass was all white. He said it was frosting on the grass. Not the kind She puts on cake, but made out of ice. Even Kasey wasn't tempted to go out in the cold. He had to go out, though. He was going to the class He missed when LW'sMom graduated. He loves these classes. He said He would learn about business, and She is fine with that. She will fix Him a nice dinner after He was in class all day, with no nap.
I guess you know that it is hard for Her to get up and down. She has sore knees because She is pretty fat. Well, He put a thing on the bedroom potty that is supposed to make it easier for Her to get up. She feels very sad that She doesn't like it, because He was so happy to fix it for Her. I think He would do anything to make things easier for Her. She says we are lucky to have litter boxes. He keeps those clean and nice, too.
Mostly, today we just found soft, sunny places to have naps. There were no important phone calls to wake us up, and only one catalog in the mail. Nice and warm and comfy, with easy chores and all inside stuff. She did go out to get the mail for the first time in a long time, and there weren't any bills. That makes it a really comfy day. Chatty Cats

It was wonderful fun for Her to chat with Her beloveds on the computer, but I have to chase Her away, because I want to have fun as well. I want to tell you about how this is a lucky day. He and She were talking about a number that makes humans think it is bad luck. Since He and She don't believe in bad luck, they decided to have great fun today. He has found out that His mother - now deceased - had another account, and He will get some money for that. It isn't much money, but any money is a lot of money, in my opinion. As long as there are kibbles and pink fish to buy, I am glad to see money coming in. Speaking of money, They have lived in this house for so many years that they are very close to making the last payment. Then the house will be all theirs, and they won't have to share it with the bank. It is like Her Grandma's house - all paid up. She says so many people can't make their payments on their houses that the bank is keeping them. It makes Her very sad. That's what happened to Her family when She was brand new. But mostly, we are happy about the house we have.
One thing He decided to buy was avocados. They look like green pears, and they have green stuff like butter inside. She is putting some on their dinner. I will try it and let you know if it is tasty.

Joking Cats

Kasey and I like a joke as much as the next cat, so today, when She got a message from some of Her Facebook friends, we encouraged Her to get in on the joke. You see, you were supposed to tell ladies only something about your birthday. There was a list of 12 places to visit, then you were supposed to say I'm going to___ and the number of months was the day of your birthday. Hers said I'm going to London for 15 months. The people who weren't in on the joke were so surprised. The people whom you could NOT tell were men. If you are a man, and you are reading this story, I will be in big trouble for telling you! Let's keep it to ourselves, OK?
He and She watched a movie this afternoon and they have another one for later, She says it is kind of lame when your big thing for a day is watching a movie. That's what happens when you are old and it is hard to get around. He gets around fine, though, and takes care of Her.
Kasey and I keep Her entertained, as well. Today I went and hid on a bookshelf, and when Kasey came by, I jumped out. You should have seen Her laugh. Kasey did not think it was funny. (snerk) I was so glad there was pink fish yesterday that I don't even mind that there is nothing interesting for dinner tonight. Hamburgers? Really? I have to go lie down. Toodles.

Wise Cats

When a refill on wisdom is needed, She goes to meet with Her beloved Crones. She was especially excited to see Smudge'sMom, who just came back from a trip very far away. On this trip, S'sM saw where they grow coffee plants, and brought back some coffee beans with covers of chocolate on them. If there is anything that Smudge'sMom knows about Her, it is that She likes coffee. Both Coffee-the-drink and Coffee-the-Cat. (snerk) It was so nice for Her to see Cleo'sMom and Sabra'sMom and Her StoneCrone. Now Sabra'sMom is going on a trip to a different far-away land. When she gets back, Sabra'sMom will have a lot of pictures, because she has a new camera.
He helped Her send off some teaching papers to a nice friend who moved to a state right next to us. He made a box, and mailed it for Her. She is still cleaning up papers, so She has brought in another black bag for the trash guy to take away when it is full.
She wishes She felt happier about the long trip on a ship that He has arranged. It is not easy for Her to get around, and She doesn't like to be away from us for so long, but His heart is so set on it that She wants Him to be happy. I'll tell you more about this when it gets closer to the time.
For now, though, I have to go and see what she's doing in the kitchen. Buh-bye.

Beloved Cats

One nice thing about our house is that they have a lot of things to love. Their adorable cats, for instance, (ahem) as well as each other. She has a lot of people to love right here in the place where we live. Cleo'sPeople and LW'sPeople are where some of Their grandchildren live. Smudge'sPeople and DeeDee'sPeople are very special to Them. For many, many years, Hana'sGran has helped Her stay sane. Believe me, we all appreciate that. She loves Her Music guy and his family, and Her StoneCrone, as well. Sabra'sPeople help both of them think clearly, and They love them for that. She loves Katy'sPeople, who are right next door, and have loving hearts. One sad thing is that She loves Mabel'sMom, but M'sM hurt Her feelings, so they can't be friends. These close-by people keep Their hearts very strong, and She says that loving people makes life worthwhile. She says She loved Her students and the people who worked in Her schools, even though She doesn't see them anymore. She is very happy that She loved Her work. Lots of people don't, you know. One day I'll have to tell you about Her far-away beloveds. Naturally, that starts out with Eddie. It may take me a whole week to tell you about them. And someday I'll tell you why I love Her, and it is more than just that lovely pink fish! Cheers.

Rumble Cats

It started last night - the rumbling. I snuggled closer to Her and thought about going into the closet. There were flashes outside in the dark, and then more rumbling. It bothered Kasey, too, I could tell. Kasey doesn't look as nervous as I do, so He thinks she isn't scared, but I know that cat, and she was scared, too. It seemed to last a long time, and I don't think I got five minutes of sleep. When it was morning, She thought it was still night, until She looked at the clock, and She knew I would need extra comforting. I finally jumped down and let Her fix breakfast. I was so knackered that I had seven fingers of butter and got in Her chair and went to sleep while She came in here and talked to Her friends. The TV guy said it rained five inches of rain and that lots of people were stuck in their cars. I'm glad She didn't go anywhere. He said it wasn't that bad here, but it looked like it would never stop. It is much better now, so I can report that we got through all the rumbles and rains, and are ready for a nice dinner and some TV. The part came for the magic picture frame, so He will connect it tomorrow, and we will see pictures of our beloved LW and her sibs.
I sure hope it is nice and quiet tonight. I don't like all that rumbling. Not at ALL. TTYL.

Tidy Cats

Kasey and I canNOT believe our eyes. This computer room is as neat as a pin. Well, almost. There is still a little pile of things to be filed, but the floor is neat, the desk is neat. The present-room doors are closed, The shelves are organized, and Her head is spinning. Once it is neat and tidy, She will want to keep it that way. He will help Her, because He is as neat as She is messy. Don't say I'm messy, Cofs, She said to me. Tell the people who read your stories that I am random. They will know that means messy, but it sounds better. She says She has four decades of keeping a neat desk for Her work to make up for. I am not sure what that means, but it sounds like a long time to me.
So now we can watch the British stories on TV. They love British stories. She always has, but the stories suit Him, as well - especially the old ones.
One thing that has Her chuffed is that DeeDee's girl is getting her things and moving back here. That is such a fun family to know. We are not even nervous when they are here. He and She are so happy with all Their friends. And Their grandkids - Oh, how They love them. And Their cats, I'm glad to say. Well, TTYL, friends.

Old Time Cats

This is what made today a lot of fun. She was going through Her old files and found a big bunch of stuff from when She was a teacher. Most of it She had forgotten about, but some of it is still very useful. She is going to see that it gets to someone who will use it, because it is still good teaching. To tell you the truth, I didn't know what She did when She was a teacher until I saw all those papers. She must have kept those students very busy. One thing I saw was papers that told how to complain in a nice way. She says you should never tell kids they are wrong, or that they are bad. She knows ways to say things in a nicer way. She says kids want to be good, and want to have praise. It means you should say Next time you'll do better, instead of you did a crap job. I know what She means. When I bite Her (by accident, of course, and not hard) She says, Coffee, I wouldn't bite you. Then I know to be sorry. It is OK to say stop if a kid is going to hurt someone. She says people give too many words at a time to kids. And cats, too, sometimes.
She will have to begin to make supper soon. I am not sure what They will eat, but I think there are those orange potatoes. We all love those. We laughed a lot today. It was fun. Oddy-ose.

Snoozing Cats

We were so busy yesterday that it was all we could do to stay awake to play and get our brushing today. He and She kept on with their work of filling black bags with stuff that has to go. It makes Her laugh that new stuff just keeps coming. She thought that after Christmas, the catalogs would stop - or at least slow down. But no. Another bunch comes every day, with sales and ideas for Valentines Day. Sorry for those catalogs, because She is all spent out, and back on the budget.
He went to the doc today to get His blood tested. His doc could really tell He had been enjoying a lot of good food, because His blood showed a number that was too high. He knew He would have to cut out the bread and potatoes. I know She will fix a lot of fish and chicken, but I don't know when we will have pizza again. She and I are both sad about that. But we have to keep Him healthy. That's a fact.
I don't know what She has planned for tomorrow, but I hope it is something relaxing. (Yawn). I'm going to have another snooze until dinner is ready, and wonder how She can fill bags with junk and still have so much left. What a puzzle. Well, I'll talk about it tomorrow. 'night.

Trash Cats

No, Kasey and I are not trash. We are helping with trash. You see, She has gotten tired of filing and sorting and decided to throw it all away. So now there are new piles. Things that get shredded up by the machine, and things that go into a big, black bag. It makes Her cry to throw away some cards and letters, but what can you do when there is no place left to stack them. Let me just assure you, none of Her Eddie treasures will go into the trash. She has a nice box for all the things from Her Eddie-Kids. There are school papers, though, from kids who have graduated and gone on with their lives. She doesn't need to save those. She is tossing all the saved bills that She has already paid. She has all Mazie's notes and pictures in a neat bag, and all the things from Her brother and his family in a special file. Kasey likes to paw at the papers on the floor, as if she is burying something, and I am helping Her decide what to keep. Sometimes you have to be cruel and stare with a mean face when She tries to keep too many things. She gets a little bummed when She finds papers that remind Her of better days, but I know how to cheer Her up. Don't worry. She will be glad when that big, black bag is full and out for the truck to pick up. Bye for now.

Precious Friend Cats

She woke up bright and early today, because She was anxious to see Her beloved Hana'sGran. She had some things for H'sG to take when she goes to visit Hana, and meet the new baby in the land very very far away. She was excited to meet at their old favorite lunch place and hear all about the plans. She didn't expect Hana'sGran to have more presents for Her, since She got so many things before, but there WAS a package. I bet you know what Her favorite thing to drink is. She even named Her favorite cat (ahem) after it. That's right. Two containers of Coffee-the-drink for Them to make at home. She was chuffed with that.They had some nice things to eat, and of course She brought some home. I will share some with Her tonight.
After the nice lunch and visit, She headed off to the store. I believe She has everything a person could need for the next month. The trouble is, wandering all around the store makes Her knackered, so He helped Her bring in bundles, so She could get a little rest. That is what She is doing now, while I write my story. I am anxious to hear about Smudge'sMom's trip to a faraway land, and so is She. Maybe, after She rests up from this happy day, She will get together to hear about the vacation. New Year's Cats

Even though the special day for the new year was yesterday, today was a holiday as well. Humans just love to have days, and since Sunday was a day anyway, they let people call today a holiday. We did not take a holiday here, though. He is taking this cleaning out thing very seriously, and kind of standing over Her shoulder making little noises about Her messy desk. She tells Him that She knows, and is working on it, yet there She is in the other room, having a nice tea.
LW'sMom gave Them a machine for seeing pictures, and They have been having a hard time making it work. He talked to the people who made the machine, and those guys are sending Him something to make it work without wires. It is supposed to hook up to a phone, but She doesn't have a phone in here. She used to, but She cancelled it, and that's why He is having a problem. She is anxious to see the pictures.
Today She had more of Her fancy soup, but for dinner She is fixing nice meat and vegetables for His new diet, but She is having a potato. He doesn't care. She has to get used to eating Her own stuff again. It was such good times when they ate together, but She has had so much magnificent food in the last two weeks, that She is ready for plain meals Herself. As long as I get to share, all is well. Bye bye until tomorrow.

2012 Cats

This seemed like a normal Sunday to me, but They kept making a fuss about how it is a new year, and its name is 2012. After I had my butter, and we read the paper, She went to get on Her computer - and what do you know? It didn't work. Her fine new Christmas/Birthday/Anniversary present didn't work. She tried a bunch of things, and was afraid He was going to call that poor computer guy for the millionth time. when all at once She tried it and it worked. She says She wishes all problems will be that easy in the new year. She visited on Her computer until it was time for lunch. She had been waiting for this all night and half the day - the chance to eat Her new soup. She fixed it and warmed it up, and yes, it was just as good as She remembered. Luckily, that one bowl filled Her up. I was afraid She would eat all five.
He went to their old church to visit with Sabra'sPeople and talk about His project. He wasn't too excited when He came home, couldn't remember what He had for lunch, so it must not have been too good. I do not expect anything to be very different in the coming days, but all this New Year stuff is going to be over by tomorrow night. Then She can have Her regular lunch with Hana'sGran and plan for that new baby. I will try not to thnk about the trip they will take in a bunch of weeks. Toodles for now.
