Brave Cats

It takes a really brave cat to hear some loud thunder and not go and hide. I got up close to Her face and just snuggled during the worst of it. She was petting me and saying there, there, Coffee, you are nice and safe right here. That was very good to hear, but She doesn't realize how dangerous that thunder is. Today, it even made the lights go out. Kasey just snuggled on her blue blanket. (See picture at the bottom of the page.) Well, the lights came back on, so She decided to go and get a treat for Herself. Not something to eat this time. She went to a new place and got Her fingers and toes all trimmed and pretty. If She can't go on a vacation, She says, this is the next best thing. She liked the new place because it wasn't noisy and bustling, like the old place. When She came home, She was very happy about Her fingers and toes. He told Her they looked nice, which was exactly the right thing to say. Wouldn't Eddie think they look nice, Coffs? She said. I just looked innocent, and thought that Eddie would - if he knew what's good for him!
When it is dark and thundery like this, I think of our dog-cousin, Tori-Tzu, and hope she is happy in her new home, and that she doesn't miss her mom too much. I remember that she didn't like the thunder, either. Kasey and I are lucky cats, when you think about it. I hear kibbles going into a dish. I must go and check on this. Oddy-ose.
