Cats and Squirrels

This morning, He put seeds out for the birds, just as He does every morning. Kasey and I sit and watch the birds eating their breakfast, and make sure they don't get too close. Sometimes our cousin Katy comes over to watch the birds, too. When Katy is there, the birds stay out close to the fence. He puts seeds in two places, just in case this happens. Today Kasey was not there, and the birds were close to the house - when Mrs. Squirrel decided to come and see if there were any seeds she might like. Kasey and I are not used to seeing Mrs. Squirrel, so we acted very alert and protective. Who knows what might happen if Mrs. Squirrel gets too close! Of course, She was very proud of us, and asked if the squirrel was covered in make-up. At first I was puzzled, but then I remembered it was an Eddie-joke and we all had a little chuckle.
She is hoping to go to the new place where Her church is meeting, because LW'sMom is telling the lesson in Her church. Besides, She wants to see how the new place works. Trouble is, She is sniffling and sneezing, so She may need to keep Her germs at home. There are some things you aren't supposed to share, She says. If the sneezing and sniffling comes from the outside, She will be able to tell, and then She isn't germy. If it is a cold, She'll know by morning. Meanwhile, She will make gumbo, which He loves. I'll let you know tomorrow. Until then, chow, bellas.
