Soapbox Cats

We had to help Her to stay calm and happy today, because things kept coming up that bothered Her mind.It started when She read the paper this morning. She is very particular about schools and teaching, and He and She were having quite a conversation about how She should write a book, because She has so much to say. You know, She thinks school is very important for the whole world, and the people who want to take money away don't know how hard it is. She went on about that for quite awhile. Meanwhile, Katy Next Door had come in the house to visit, and He stopped listening to Her. Whew. Thank you, Katy.
By now, She had started on how people blame the government when this country was made so that people could take care of government business by voting, but now She is upset that people aren't paying attention. I guess it is just one of those days when a few snuggles can't do the job.
Just when I thought we could get off our soapboxes, She read something on the computer about a boy who go arrested for talking about a gun. I honestly thought She was going to scream, so I went into the closet and had a nap. She seems OK now, but He, Kasey and I are hiding the soapboxes so She can keep calm and carry on, like it says on the card. At least He gets to go to a meeting, so it is up to us to keep Her mind off these big troubles. Let me warn you - don't get Her started on these topics if you want some quiet. I will check on Her now and get back to you tomorrow.
