Our new sister, Katy is living here now, and so far, the claws have not been a problem. Katy did escape once, but she came right back in. This must be very new for her. Here's the problem. Katy doesn't like us, and she growls at us. I went to hide in the closet, until She came and got me out. We had a petting festival then, and I got comfy in Her inbox until it was time to write my story. As you might have guessed, Kasey doesn't give a flip whether Katy likes her or not, and goes about her business as Cat in Charge. Smudge'sMom came over today to pick up a book, and she got to meet our new sister. I was still in the closet, so I didn't see her, but S'sM says it is like that at her house sometimes. I expect things will be less of an adventure as Katy gets used to her new home. It must be so different for her. We do not have a little d-o-g like they have at her old house. We do not have two sweet children to play with her. I hope she likes it here after she gets used to us. More important, I hope I get used to her.
I believe She is fixing a nice dinner after leaving us to kibbles yesterday. Chow. bellas.

New Sister Cats
Well, this is the day. Katy is coming from next-door to live with us here at our house. We are thrilled and excited, with only two worries. One is her claws. Since she is a grown-up kitty, I don't think she will scratch the furniture. If she does He will have to think of a way to stop her. The other worry is about her staying inside. The way she lives now, Katy is outside a lot. At our house, outside is not an option. He is worried about it, but She is sure it will work. Of course, you will hear all about it, because Kasey and I will be watching her all the time. Last time she was here, Katy was not friendly at first, but then she got cozy and was just fine. She will stand up to Kasey, and I will laugh out loud if Kasey has to back down.
This is the night for the beloved Crones. Smudge'sMom won't be there, but She will be really happy to see the other ladies. That means She won't eat supper at home, so there will be no fancy stuff for me. Oh, sure, He will be eating at home, but if you ever saw what He fixes for himself, you would agree that it will be all kibbles tonight. More news tomorrow.

Friend Cats
Kasey and I were thinking about cats and friends, mostly because She is having some worries about friendship. The way She tells it is that She meets up with Her friends and family each day on the computer. If She is sad, they cheer Her up. If She is chuffed, they celebrate with her. Some friends and family are closer, and She can see them sometimes. She doesn't have to see Her friends every day, but She knows they would come running if She needed help, and they know She would do the same for them. Sometimes it is a year, but She knows those friends and family are there. But what about friends and family that hardly ever see Her or call Her or answer Her emails? She says She knows they are busy and She doesn't want to be any trouble to them, but She doesn't want to hold on to friends and family that don't want to hold on to Her. After all, She has cats who will never, ever leave Her side, and She has Him, Her best friend, who is always with Her. She treasures Her caring friends and Her delightful grandchildren. She still worries about those few whom She doesn't feel. I will go give Her some snuggles now. Later, gator.

Grateful Cats
This is one of those special days I told you about. Humans are always having special days, as well you know. This day is about remembering soldiers. There have been a lot of wars. People have a hard time getting along. It might be because they are too crowded, or because they believe in different things, but it always ends up with nice young men having to go somewhere and fight. Those are soldiers, and today we had to stop and think about all the soldiers who fought in the wars, and especially the ones who died in the fights. Fighting is very dangerous, especially if you have things to kill each other with. When Kasey and I were born, we had sharp claws, but the first people who had us took those claws away. I still remember how sore my paws were. But we can't hurt each other so much. Maybe if people took away things to hurt each other with, they would stop fighting, and we could just have this day for being glad there isn't any war. People could be like Kasey and me, and just play fight. I think I'll tell Her to give Her friend the President that idea. Keep reading my stories, and I might have good news one of these days. Peace out.

Rats and Cats
Our uncle John and Aunt Heather came over today and brought a friend. His name is Remington, and he lives in Aunt Heather's hair. At least that is where he was when I first saw him. She thought he was an adorable rat, and played with him. She gave him a potato chip, and he held it in his little pink hands and ate it like a sandwich. Then She gave him a berry from one of His snacks, and Remington truly loved that berry. But here is the problem. He is a rat. And Kasey and I are cats. Do you see where I'm going with this? Our insides are made for catching mice and rats, and it would make Her very angry if we did that, so we went and left them alone to visit while we rested. Remington was our guest, and eating him would have been very, very rude. Kasey did not actually see what was the matter with it, but I convinced her to join me in the closet.
We love our Aunt Heather and Uncle John, and they surely love animals, but that rat was very tempting.
Have a nice time tomorrow, and say thank you to all the soldiers. That is what this day is about. Toodles.

Education Cats
Well, She was on again about the state of education here in our country. Kasey and I heard Her go on and on about how all the tests are taking the joy out of learning as well as teaching. They are lucky She is not teaching now, or She would have these big speeches where She would be working, and probably get fired. Here is what makes Her so upset. There are these big tests, and they are all the same. The outcome of the tests tells whether the kids will go to the next grade, or go to school at extra times. No pressure there, She says, but I think She is joking about that. Also, whether the teacher gets high marks, and whether the school gets extra money. Teachers might as well be baby sitters, She says, because their opinion doesn't count. To tell you the truth, I am getting tired of hearing Her complain about it, because there is nothing She can do about it, and She has adorable cats to care for. He tells Her to write a book about it, but She thinks that is just to shut Her up. She might just write that book anyway, just to show him. As long as we have fish for dinner, I don't care. Stay tuned.

Habit Cats
Kasey and I like things to be the same all the time, with just a little variety to keep things fresh. It is hard to get used to Him and Her going out and coming in at strange times. It is cozy to know that I can find Her whenever I want pets or a brushing, and Kasey likes to find Him at His desk or in His bed. He is like that, as well. I mean He likes His routines. Every day He gets up early and feeds the birds, feeds Katy-next-door, and gets the paper. She, on the other hand, gets up at different times and wanders around before She fixes our toast and butter. It worries me that She spends a lot of time visiting with Her computer friends. Sometimes She doesn't get to Her to-do lists until after lunch. These are my friends and family, Cofs, She says to me.I have to be sure everyone is doing OK before I do my work.
I will keep wanting good habits, but since I am a smart cat, I'll adjust.
She is happy that today is LW'sBirthday, and that LW is such a smart, beautiful, healthy kid. She may have some cake tonight to celebrate. Cheers.

Catnip Cats
I will be typing very softly, because I still feel a bit dizzy. Here's what happened. Since Kasey and I are expecting to have a new sister very soon, She decided to get her a present. She sent away for a little ball with catnip inside. Neither Kasey nor I have ever been particularly interested in catnip, She didn't think we would care, and it might make Katy feel more welcome. When I went in for my daily brushing, there was a very enticing scent coming from a package on Her desk. I found the package and it had me in its spell - right through the packaging. Of course She unwrapped it for me and I began playing with it - and that is the last thing I remember until just before now. I promise I will leave it alone so Katy can have it to herself.
So I missed Her coming home from Her lunch with Hana'sGran. I don't know if She brought home any left-overs. I don't know if She got any interesting news from H'sG, I missed the whole adventure. I am staying away from catnip. It is the demon's weed. G'nite.

Emotional Cats
The topic for today was about decisions. Do you make decisions because of thinking or because of feelings He calls emotions. This is the kind of thing their Thinking People talk about, and it was pretty lively today, She said. I'm sure They explained how Kasey and I make up our minds. We think very clearly, and if our bowls are full of kibbles, we are very reasonable. If She insists on petting Kasey although She knows Kasey doesn't like it, then Kasey should get a few treats. If She insists on getting up when I am asleep on Her tummy, then I can expect extra snuggles when She comes back. We all agreed that there are people that know how to get you to do things by not telling you the whole story. There are some people who get very mad at you if you say they are wrong. I know I get very mad if She says I should not chew on the cord for the window-blinds. It's a lot for a cat to think about.
After the time at Sabra'sHouse, They went to see LW'sMom. In a few days it is LW's birthday, and They wanted to be sure LW got her presents on time. She was chuffed at the chance to spend a few minutes with LW'sMom, and so was He. He and She have wonderful friends.
She showed us a picture of the old chair with a darling baby in it, in its new house. It makes us feel good. Chow for now.

Goodbye Cats
Today Kasey and I say goodby to the old blue chair. The new chair She got is so much easier for Her to use, and some very nice people said they really wanted the old chair. You know, I spent many happy hours on the top of that old chair, and I had to get back up there today for one last nap. It is not very wise to get so used to something like a chair, and to not want to say goodbye to it. I just remember how many times I was up there, and stepped down on Her shoulder and got snuggles without even asking for them. The chair was here when Kasey and I came from the esspeeceay, and we both got into it when She was somewhere else. But the new chair has electric buttons, and She doesn't have to kick it closed - Who ever thought of that way to close a chair anyway - so we will like the new chair just fine. When the guy comes to take it away, I will go into the closet and wait until it is all moved out. I will say goodbye to it from in there. Then I will go out and climb onto the top of the new chair. It will be my new favorite place, where She is. That is the main thing.
Tomorrow is Thinking People day. She just loves that. Bye, now.

Nap Cats
One thing Kasey and I take very seriously is our naps. We are excellent nappers, and I must say, so is He. He can just turn himself off and nap, which I am guessing He learned from a cat at some time. She, on the other hand, is not a good napper. She has told me that sleeping in the day is for sick people and cats. He is not sick, and He has tried to make Her see the sense of at least one nap each day. He has shown Her stories that explain that taking a nap is good for you. Every so often, She falls asleep after lunch, working Her puzzle or reading a book. When She does that, She is annoyed, and says She is sorry She did that. I wonder what would convince Her. Of course there are others who say coffee-the-drink keeps you awake, and She does like Her c-the-d. But She sleeps fine at night, except to go to the loo. That's what some people call their litter-box. I will try to keep convincing Her, and so will He, and maybe you would, too, when you see Her.
Since She found Her perfect chair, and She had leftover lunch for Her dinner, we decided She should fix pizza for tonight. It is never too late to celebrate. TTFN

Chuffed Cats
Today She and Rocky'sMom went to this big store and got an amazing chair, just like She wanted. Kasey and I are so happy for Her, and glad to check out the new chair. Here's the thing about it: It has a plug that goes into the electricity, and when She pushes one side of the button, the foot-rest comes up and the chair goes back. When She pushes the other side, the foot-rest goes down and the chair comes up. It is even better than what She wanted. She could not believe Her good luck. Here's the hard part. It would have cost another big bunch of money to have the store bring it to our house, so She said the store guys should put it into Her car. It was too hard for Him to bring it inside by himself, so Rocky'sDad and -Boy came and helped Him set it all up. I will let you know about the snuggling situation.
Before She came home, She and R'sM ate lunch at a nice place and of course She brought some home for dinner. It is an interesting sandwich that She likes, so I will like it too. She usually doesn't go out on Saturday, but that is the only time that big store is open. I am a happy cat now that She and Her chair are home. Cheerio.

More Chair Cats
Just when I got through explaining about my chaircat place on Her chair, She announced that She wants to get a new chair. There is a store around here someplace that sells things very cheaply. She has been curious about this place for quite awhile. She saw an ad that said they were selling the kind of chair She likes. Hers is quite old, and almost falling apart. She and I are very hard on Her chair. What She needs is a chair that can open and close with a lever instead of a button. The button kind is what we have now. Opening it up is easy, but to close it, She has to kick it shut. With Her bad balance, it is a hard job every time. Anyway, She is hoping to go tomorrow and look at the chairs and see if they have the kind She wants at a bargain price. I will not go with Her, but I trust Her to look carefully. We have made a bet. If She finds the right chair, we will celebrate with pizza for dinner. If not, well, we will have pizza to make us feel better. Never mind that. Tonight is fish night. I am chuffed. Nighty night.

Chair Cats
When She used to go to work, She said that departments had chairmen. Well, Kasey and I decided we would be chaircats, because we handle the rules around here. Kasey has picked the chair in His office to use, and I have selected the chair where She watches TV, works puzzles reads catalogs and has a snooze. We can't both be in the chair, but I am quite comfy on the top of the chair. It is also handy for getting snuggles and pets. All I have to do is step down. We do a lot of work around here, so getting to be chaircats is only fair. Kasey thinks we should get more treats for having the job, but I reminded Kasey that she already gacks up half the treats she gets now. I don't care for Kasey's treats. I wonder what our new sister Katy will think about treats. I will tell her to watch out for Kasey if she tries to get some of her treats. Kasey is not good at sharing.
He had some more computer problems today. Actually, He was hooking up a new printer when something went wrong. Good thing there were chaircats on duty, so He could get it fixed without having a meltdown.
She seems to want Her computer for something, so I will sign off now. Ah-dyoo, amis.

Neighbor Cats
You have been reading about the adventures of our beloved neighbors, Katy'sPeople. Well, it won't be long before Katy will be Katy-Right-Here. He and She would be very sad if her People moved away and gave Katy away where they might not keep her safe.It looks as if Kasey and I will have one more sister. This will be an experiment, She says, because when Katy comes to stay here, she will not go outside. There are too many dangers out there, She says, not to mention fleas. So Katy will stay inside, and we all hope she likes it. For one thing, we don't have a d-o-g, like where Katy lives now. It was easy for Kasey and me to get used to having soft, dry places to nap, and to have our food and water right there where we want it. Here's what I think about having another cat. I still get first snuggling rights with Her, Kasey gets snuggling rights with Him, and Katy can have the pets and snuggles that are left over.
So We are ready to settle down and have some ham tonight. I am not sure if I like it, but I'll let you know. TTFN

Yawning Cats
This has been a very plain day. She just busied Herself around here doing tiresome things, like sorting and stacking and doing what She calls organizing. I can't see where it makes much difference, but, aside from a few snuggles and a brushing, She did not have much time for cats. Kasey and I chased each other, but neither one of us had our heart in it, so mostly we just napped. (yawn).
Last night UncleJohn/AuntHeather brought some lovely rice that smelled like pineapple She decided it would go well with something She can cook, so She started kind of early with that, and I couldn't tell what She got from the freezer. There was no picture on the box. Yesterday She just fixed chicken, so it probably isn't that. It is something that needs a long time to get tender, she said. It would make UJ/AH make a gack face, because they don't eat meat. I guess that's why they only come after dinner.
I know tomorrow will be more exciting, because there are marks on Her calendar for then. I hope my story is more fun tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Deciding Cats
On a nice day like this, it is wise to make decisions early. How should we spend our time? Should She get Her haircut? Should we get gas in the car with our free coupon? Should we get the car washed with out gift certificate? Decisions, decisions. We thought about each of our choices, although I urged Her to stay at home with Her beloved pets. As time went on, She consulted with Him, and now, here we are. It looks as if I am getting my wish, because She hasn't done any of those things. and I have collected a lot of snuggles throughout the decision-making process. So many choices, and the one thing She did do was get a present for LW'sMom, and that lady's birthday is a long time away from now.
Our cousin Katy is coming over, but we are sad about the reason why. Since Katy'sPeople are moving away, the guy that owns the house is coming to check it out, so they can get their deposit back. If it is nice and clean, they can stay the lat month and not pay any more. That is what that means. We will be nice to her while she is here. He is going to fix up a place for Katy so they don't have to send her to the esspeeceeay.
She is getting ready to put something in the oven for our dinner. I have to go check this out. O-ree vwar.

Mom's Cats
This was one of those days that humans keep having. You may remember it from last year. It is called MothersDay, and it is about telling our Mom's how much we love them. Kasey and I don't remember our cat moms, so as far as we are concerned, She is our Mom. She had a lot of nice things happen today. Of course, I gave Her snuggles, and purred especially loud. Then They went to have lunch with Cleo'sPeople. He and She just loved that. She had a wonderful lunch, and brought some of it home for us to share. Cleo'sPeople are Their family, so it was a perfect celebration. Then our UncleJohn and AuntHeather came over, and we had a fun visit. She says they are the cutest people around, and it is always fun for us when they come over. There were lots of hugs, pets and skritches. After it was all over, we watched an Eddie, the one about cats. It was a very nice Mothers'Day.
Oh, and Kasey didn't care. (Snerk).

Cats in Peril
She is always telling me to relax, to be calm. Don't be afraid, Cofs, She says. You are safe here. Well, what about last night? There were all kinds of warnings on the TV. They interrupted Their programs, so they must have been important warnings. Then the thunder started, and believe me, it went on all night, with lightning and loud rain. I didn't even feel safe in my closet, so I had to scrunch down as small as I could and go under the TV cabinet. She could not believe Her eyes to see I still fit under there. Later on, when the thunder was over, I came out and gave Her lots of snuggles and a good massage. Maybe now it was safe to relax. HA. I went to lie down in the hallway, and along He comes and steps on my tail! I couldn't help making a loud yow, so at least She scolded Him for nearly crushing me to death - or at least the very end of my tail. He said it was not His fault, since it was dark.. Next time it's dark, I may just step on His tail and see how He likes it. Well, I am fairly safe now, so I'll go check on dinner.
I don't care what She says. Relaxing just leaves you open to a pain in the tail. TTYL.

Bargain Cats
Kasey and I have learned what it means to be bargain hunters. If you know Her, you understand what we mean. We have learned to check for the best prices, and never pay full price for something if you can avoid it. Yesterday, She went to a store where things usually cost a lot of money. This was the bargain part of the store. She did not see anything in that store that She couldn't get somewhere else for less money. She had to tell us what She thought of all that extra cost. Today She went to a store that didn't have such high prices. Everything She bought cost less than it cost somewhere else. It makes Her sad that some people think it is wrong to shop at the less-expensive store, but She gets more nice things and doesn't have a lot of extra money to spend. Kasey and I think it is too bad that stores sometimes get their lower prices by not being nice to the people that work there. She says She can't afford to think about that. Do you know, even if She got a real lot of money, She would still dislike spending too much money for something She could get for less. She says it is in Her DNA. I'm not sure what that means, but I don't think She will ever change.
She is watching a game on TV, and is cheering for the players. I'll go check this out. Chow.

Joy and Surprise for Cats
This turned out to be an extra good day for Her, and that makes it good for us. You see, She has had a good friend for a long time. The friend is Mom to our cousin Rocky, who looks like a fancy dog with a strange haircut, but is a really nice cousin. This friend moved far away, but then came back, and they like to go have lunch together. Today they went to a shopping place, and then went to have lunch at a place where the main thing they have is fish. You know She and I love fish. Well, while they were eating their fish, Rocky'sMom pulls out an envelope, and inside there is a card for Her to get free gas and another card for Her to get Her car washed. It made Her quite surprised, and She said She didn't deserve it. Rocky'sMom said it made her happy to do it, and that it would please her to know She used the cards. She could not believe Her good luck, and will be glad to use the cards. She told me that She still feels kind of embarrassed, because She says it is such a big present. He said Rocky'sMom must really love Her.
She did bring home some of Her fish lunch. Nom nom nom. Cheerio.

Cheer-Up Cats
Since She was kind of sad today herself, we realized we had to cheer up so we could cheer Her up. It helped Her feel happier when She remembered that it was Crone's lunch day. Hardly anyone shows up anymore, but She is so happy to visit with Cleo'sMom and Smudge'sMom that it was easier to get Her moving. It just makes Her wonder what happened to Her Crones. Oh, well. She surely loves the Crones who were there.
When She got home, it made Her chuffed to read that Her President has approved of gay marriage. That means that people who love each other can all get the same rights. I know that sometimes boy cats like boy cats instead of girl cats, but we don't have to worry about rights. We just chase each other and have fun. Same with girl cats. We don't have to worry about what other cats think. It is so much easier to be a cat. He and She believe everyone should have a chance at happiness, but people have a lot of rules that cats don't have. As long as we have a soft place to lie down, and we get our kibbles, we are fine with that.
It is important for Her to feel cheered up, so She will think about a nice dinner. I'm hoping for plenty of gravy or tomato sauce. I'll let you know. Toodles.

Mourning Cats
Today was all about trying not to cry. You see, our very dear CousinLion, who lives in NYC with his Mom and Brother, Nick, has been sick. We all sent love and energy to him, but Lion died last night. It made us feel so bad that we didn't feel much like playing all day. People think cats don't feel sadness and grief, but I'm here to tell you we do. We mourned when we lost our CousinCleo, and we will be almost as sad when our CousinKaty moves away, or goes to a new home. We cried when our Cousin Deena died. You know, even Kasey feels sad when these things happen. She has been grieving about all these losses. We have to mourn for a while, and then She tells us to stop thinking about the loss, and what we will miss, and remember the fun things, and the stories we have heard about these beloveds. I am just not ready to do that yet about Lion, but when I feel better, I will remember how much joy he brought to our OperaGirl, and how She said he looked just exactly like a lion. It hurts our hearts to feel sad, and we will mourn until we get over it. Be ready for more cheerful news tomorrow. Bye, Lion. Bye, everyone.

Guardian Cats
I was minding my own business, looking out the window, waiting for my butter, when a gray tabby cat with one white paw came into view. I went to high alert. This was not a cat I knew, but I soon showed him who was boss. He was curious, and came close to the window. He couldn't hear me, but he saw me make a mean meow face. I pawed the window, and he ran away, toward the side of our house. Skillfully maneuvering around the furniture, I surprised him by appearing at the side window. Oh, sure, he tried to look harmless, but I would not give up until he was gone - over the fence and away. It took some more meows, and several more pawings at the side windows, but he finally admitted defeat and fled. You know She was proud of me, because butter and snuggles followed. It was lucky She didn't have lunch plans today, because I required a lot of snuggles and skritches. He and She can relax, knowing Coffee, the Wonder Cat, is on guard. Kasey remained asleep.
In my honor, our dinner tonight will contain tomato sauce, which I love. Ah-dyoo, my amis.

Cats with Plans
There is a situation here that I must fix. Right now I am busy making plans, but they still need work. Here is what happened. If you know Her at all, you know She just LOVES Her Eddie. Well, last night, we all knew that Eddie would be on TV for four hours. He wasn't so thrilled, but She was so excited that He just grumbled and agreed to that long time with one program. This is where my problem comes in. The show She wanted to watch started early. She planned to put the dinner on to cook, and He would serve it when it was ready, so She didn't need to stop watching Eddie. Her eye was on the clock. When it was almost time to go and fix and watch, She did it. She turned off the computer. That left me high and dry for my story. Here's my plan. I will have to learn to turn the computer on and off. I am baffled so far, but I'll bet if someone showed me.....I am a very smart cat. And if it took two of us, I believe Kasey would help me, because it would be a trick on Her, and Kasey would like that. I'll let you know how my plans work out, and I won't have to miss any stories. Oh, and by the way, She loved the Eddie show. Even He agreed it was well-done. There were just too many commercials.
Gumbo for dinner tonight. We all like that. More news tomorrow.. Aloha.

Enlightened Cats
Did you ever think you were going to do a simple job and find out it was a very, very not-simple job? Well, that's what we learned today when we began our work on the gift closet. To remind you, She buys gifts all year, and puts them in our closet in Her office. It has worked for a long time, but here's what happened. She has so many things in there that things get lost in the muddle. She moves things around to get to the needed gifts, and then everything gets mixed up with other people's gifts, and before you know it, She buys two of the same thing, or can't remember where a special thing is. She has started to put things on other shelves, outside the closet, and that just makes the muddle pour out of the closet until......well, until we come to today, when the idea was to arrange everything. You should see the confusion! Kasey and I have learned a lot today. We will think twice about what happens when we hear that this is an easy task.
I will have to get back to work, because we can't leave it like this. I will surely give you a report on our progress. Oh, and if you are due for a gift, don't worry. She will find yours first. Bye for now.

Worried Cats
We are worried about our next-door cousin, Katy. Her people are surely going away and can't take her.
We knew this before They went away, but did not believe it was going to happen like that. So here we are, wishing someone would take her to love, and not sure that she will find a place.
She is sad abut that, but She was chuffed about having lunch with LW'sMom. They laughed about it being Her Birthday Lunch, because both families have been very busy and couldn't meet for Her real birthday. You know how She always buys odd books? Well, She god a couple of books for LW'sBrother's birthday, but also got one She was going to save until Christmas for him. Turns out, he is interested in the subject of that book, so She gave it to him today. The boy believes He and She really know what he likes. She hopes he is right!
Mazie got her package of the things that change color. They are plain black and white inside the house, but when you go out, they turn colors. It is a fun idea, She thinks, so naturally, Mazie had to have it. She really loves that kid, too.
Let me go see what She is up to. I think the mail finally came. She loves that. Cheers.

Birthday Cats
Even though it is not our birthdays, nor His, nor Hers, it is birthday season at LW'sHouse, so we were helping Him and Her sort out the presents for them. LW and all the sibs have birthdays one right after the other, and LW'sMom and Dad have the SAME day for a birthday. She has LW'sBrother's present all ready, because his birthday comes first. She will give it to LW'sMom tomorrow, when they meet for Hawaii souvenirs. Next comes LW, who is getting to be a big girl. Every time She looks at LW, Her heart just glows with love and gratitude, because LW had to fight very hard to get her health back when she got sick. I can't tell you what is in the present bags, because LW is big enough to read now, and we want it to be a surprise. Katy'sGirl has a birthday next week, as well. To explain all these birthdays, She says it is because of the cool September and October nights. I don't have any idea what that means.
He and She are trying to be a little bit careful with presents, because if She had Her way, She would get everything her beloveds might like, and that uses up money They need for kibbles. Kasey and I encourage Them to be careful about that.
I saw Her get chicken out of the freezer, at least it looked like chicken. It's not fish, but I like chicken, too. More news tomorrow. Chow.

Sympathy Cats
We think we have gotten to the real reason why the problems on that boat made Her so sad, and we can feel sorry along with Her, because some things are hard to face when you are a cat or a person. You see, She has had trouble getting around, but would always say I can do anything, it just takes me a long time, and then everyone would laugh. But on that boat, She was very unsteady, and many times a day, someone would ask if She was OK. Everyone rushed to help Her, and She had to face the fact that She couldn't use Her cane and carry Her tray. She couldn't walk all the way to the back of the boat without stopping to rest. She couldn't go up and down steps, even with stuff to hold on to. She had to admit She is old and handicapped. She told me it was like getting cold water in Her face. It hurt Her heart. I gave Her lots of snuggles, because I understand. When I knew my first people didn't love me, and wanted to give me away, my heart was hurting, too. But look at how nicely everything turned out for me. She doesn't believe things will get better for Her, but they will. I know if He and I have anything to do with it, She will feel better. She is my always person, just like He is Kasey's.
We will have a nice dinner, because She brought home stuff for His dinner from Her lunch with Rocky'sMom, so She and I will share something we both like. Toodle Pip, mates.
