Sighing Cats
Remember how I was hoping Kate would be safe for this spooky day? Well, after she had been gone a bunch of days, without even a sight of one whisker, last night, when He went out to put the trash out, who came trotting in to the house with him? You guessed it. Kate. So it was back to the bedroom for Kasey and me. It was very hard, after a lot of days, to give up sleeping on Her lap and in my sun spot. He and She realize that Kate can't stay here with us. The have admitted defeat. The little blue cat has outsmarted them. She called Kate's old people from next door, but they aren't able to take her back. One idea She has is to fix up a place out in the shed, with food and water, and a soft blanket. I don't think it will work, because he goes out every day to feed the birds, and Kate would just come in with him. It is very important to Her that Kate should not go to a shelter where they put cats to sleep forever. It was so nice while Kate was gone, though. Don't get me wrong. Kate is a sweet and pretty cat. She just doesn't like Kasey and me getting pets from Him and Her. He says she is jealous. This has got Her so down in the dumps that it took a nice lunch with Hana'sGran to keep Her from being grumpy and sad. I wish I had someone like Hana'sGran to help me out of my downers. Check back tomorrow, and I'll let you know if there is any improvement in the situation. Oh, well. Happy new month, anyway. bye.
