Spooky Cats
This is a special day for humans, and like most of the special days, I don't quite get it. It seems as if kids are supposed to dress up in costumes and go to every house and tell you to give them candy or they will do something to you. It sounds very rude, and also not funny. Trouble is, She just loves it, and gets candy to give the kids. It is a night of mischief, and not a good night for cats to be out. The idea is that it is about witches, and cats are known for being friends with witches, so people think it is OK to chase them, or even hurt them. Don't worry about us. We will be tucked away safely in here. I hope Kate is safe somewhere, too. She is gray all over, and that is a scary kind, they say. Not as scary as black, but I still hope she is safe tonight. I don't know why they have to make things scary and have to give candy away. As a matter of fact, He and She know some witches, and so do Kasey and I. The ones we know are kind and helpful and believe in taking care of the earth. Mostly, She likes to see the little kids in funny costumes. We have done this before, but I will be glad when it's over. I hope all of you get treats and no tricks tonight. Oh, and don't worry about ghosts. They can't hurt you. Toodles.
