Family Trees
Kasey is my sister, but she is nothing like me. She doesn't look like me, sound like me or act like me. Kasey is a whole other kind of cat. So I asked Her, how can Kasey be my sister? We need to have a long talk, She told me. A talk about how you get families. Some cats have the same mother and dad, She said, but some get brand new homes after they are born, like Smudge's sibs, who went to live with LW. Only Frankie stayed with Smudge. Kasey and I had different moms, but went to live in the same place at the esspeeceeay. That is where He and She found us and brought us home. Later, we got cousins, so our family is quite big now. He and She got their family the same way. They have children and especially grandchildren who needed grandparents. Everyone needs grandparents, She says, and the more the better. That's why some of Hers have three! I know She loves them all, and they fill Her heart with warm. She says spoiling grandkids is what Grans are for, so even if they don't live right by Her, She wants to spoil them all. I hope you know what that means. They do not really get spoiled, like old kibbles. That means that She is always there to love them and tell them they are important. Sometimes that takes a Mars Bar or something! Don't worry, Coffs, She says. I only have one brother, but I have sisters of my heart, too. That makes me feel better about Kasey. I believe I will go chase her right now. Bye.
