Fish for Dinner Cats

Back in the olden days, She says, it was very common to have fish for dinner on every Friday. She is kind of tired of thinking up meals after all these years, so She thinks a fish menu cuts down on the figuring-out-what-to-fix. You won't hear any argument from me about that. Now Her other idea isn't so appealing. During the war, when She was a little girl, She says they had shortages of almost everything, so the people were asked to have something called Meatless Tuesdays. On such days they would eat beans and vegetables and fake meat, like what He sometimes eats. Since Her beloved Grandma was a smart cook, those meals were better than most people had, but She doesn't remember them with fondness, like She does the fish.
Tonight there is a fish called MahiMahi on the menu. It tastes very good, but the last time She fixed it, She got a very bad case of the itchy hives. She thinks it might be something in the water where the fish was caught, because She gets hives whenever She has something called iodine, and some of that is in sea water. I hope She doesn't get that tonight, because I can't stretch out on Her tummy if She is all itchy.
Still no rain today, but the weather guy keeps saying pretty soon. I wonder if cows and sheep can get enough grass to eat. If not, we might have to have meatless Tuesdays again. Oof. Toodles.
