Madcap Cats

Since Kate has been gone, I have been acting a little ditzy. That is what She calls it when I run around, play with a string, jump up on a chair and meow very loudly. I thought I had forgotten how to run and play with carefree abandon. I don't know when Kate will come back, but I am making full use of the time while she is gone to act free and funny and ditzy. I lay on Her computer this morning and snuggled Her just enough to keep Her from doing Her checking up. I stepped on the letters so that She had to make the words blue and hit del to make them go away. I think She just pretends to be annoyed, because She doesn't make me get down, and She pets me when I pretend to be asleep on the letters.  In case you think that it is wicked of me to have so much fun while Kate is gone, please remember that I used to be like this all the time until Kate came, and I have been holding it in for ever so long.
I knew She would be in the present buying business before too long. She has already bought three things for people who don't have birthdays for a long time from now. It is hard for Her to resist things that She knows someone will like. She sent Mazie a bunch of things for her hair that light up when you put them on, She couldn't wait for a birthday for that. And He went to mail a package to my Uncle John, but it's OK, because his birthday is Friday.
Yes, dear readers, I am a madcap guy today, and there is pink fish defrosting in the kitchen. I will enjoy today and not worry about tomorrow until it comes. She says cats who can do that are clever. Good night and good luck.
