The name of this special day is Presidents' Day. It turns out that the guys who are in charge of running this whole country are named Presidents. That's what that big election was all about a while ago. I guess there have been a lot of presidents since this place got started, and two of them have birthdays this month. Instead of a day for each one, somebody decided to pick one day and just celebrate once. It is kind of a low-maintenance special day. Most things are just the same. Some schools get out. There is no mail, and the bank is closed. He and She are acting just like it is a regular day. She will enjoy a rest from the catalogs, and They don't need to go to the bank. All the regular programs are on, so I am not too excited about this day. Still no sign of Kate, and She drove all over, looking for her. She is convinced Kate will be back. In the meantime, I am having lots of fun and playing with Kate's toys.
She is fixing some of that chili for our dinner. She makes it nice and warm and puts it into a potato for some reason. When you put cheese on that, He loves it. I am not sure if I like it. I'll try it, at least. I am so glad She is being home all day that I think I'll go give Her a massage. She and I missed those when I stayed in the bedroom. Chow for now.
