Cats and Women
When She was just a young girl, Her mother and Grandma were very strong women, who worked at jobs outside the house, and who insisted on being treated with respect. They taught Her She was as good as anyone, better than some, and that She deserved respect, as well. When Her schoolbooks told about how women should act at home, the three ladies would laugh at how it showed women as doofuses. Then, in the years She calls the Betty Crocker years, She got married to a nice, smart man who didn't expect Her to be like the women in the books. She didn't have any babies, so She kept on working. She also took part in meetings and things about rights for women, and She thought things had changed. Well, that first guy died, so She came here where we all live, and found another nice, smart guy. He helped her with keeping things nice, and She kept on being a teacher. Now She reads about things that people want to make women do and I almost see steam coming out of Her ears. I think She likes cats, because cats don't take any disrespect from anybody. If you saw my sister Kasey, you would see a really independent girl cat. If Kasey would have known Her back then, I would think She learned from Her, except She is very nice to me. She thinks everyone and everycat should get respect, no matter what breed or what color. I like that about Her, and so does He. I'm glad She likes to fix dinner, because She does it better than He does. Tune in tomorrow to see what's on Her mind.
