LookOut Cats
I was just lying on the windowsill, half asleep, when I saw some funny business going on in our back yard. I became alert in an instant, and when I realized it was a cat, I strove to tell her that she hd better go home. I knew it was a she, because it was Katy-Next-Door. It was obvious that Katy knew I meant business, because she walked toward the side of the house. Little did she know that there are windows there, too. I scurried to the side windows and Katy stopped to look inside. When she saw me telling her to keep moving, she started slowly toward the gate. To get to the next window, I had to jump on the back of the couch and hurry to the next window. Katy got up on the outside windowsill and peered in. I had to paw that window as hard as I could, and meow loudly before she realized it was over. Nothing for her to do but jump on the fence and go home. It was good to hear Her tell me I was a good, brave cat. She also said Katy is our friend, though, and we should treat her with respect. I don't know where She gets these crazy ideas, but I will ignore Her if we are in danger of a cat-invasion ever again. I'm quite knackered after that, and will go and lie in my sun-spot. Rest assured I will keep one sleepy eye on the window. Just in case. Have a nice evening, everyone, knowing that we are all safe here.
