Breakthrough Cats

I have told you before that Kate is very jealous of me, and that I try to avoid her at all costs. Sure, I get in here to write my stories while Kate sleeps in my sun spot, but today I made a very bold move.  Kate peeked into the bedroom, looking for Her, and I chased her little blue tail right down the hall and into the living room. I was magnificent. Yes.  I was. So while Kate found a safe place to go, I hurried up onto the little couch. That's the one where I have done my most serious considering. I got comfy up there and had a nice nap, and Kate was none the wiser. When She came in to eat Her lunch, Kate finally noticed me. I could have run, but I stood my ground. Kate got up on the couch and went nose-to-nose with me. I think She heard some growls, but She just waited. Kate got up close to me and sniffled my tail. After quite a few sniffs, she turned and jumped down.  When I felt like it, I got up on the empty bookcase shelf, He and She have always kept it empty for me. Kate tried a couple more hisses and a growl, but the little rascal knew she was defeated, and ran away. This is a bold step in my taking back the living room. I don't mind sharing, but I get lonely in my closet. She is really quite proud of me. She says She will have Auntie Heather take our pictures of Kate and me together. Then She will show us off to Her computer friends and family.  This was not a bad way to start the week. It looks as if She has a full schedule, but it will include seeing beloveds, so that will keep Her happy.  I will check the area and go back to the living room. When someone is proud of you, it gives you courage, you know. Farewell for now.
