Retired Cats

Today She was talking about being retired. It turns out that She didn't think about not teaching Her students and teachers. It didn't cross Her mind until She had a very bad problem. Her back started to hurt Her and it got worse and worse. She had to stay in bed, and then in a hospital for a long time.
I was very sorry to hear about that, because She is so whiney about not being able to walk very well that I couldn't imagine Her not being able to walk at all. Well, here's what She thought. She wanted to go to a lot of very far places and see all the things She taught about. If She had so much trouble walking, He and She couldn't do that. That made Her give up teaching. Oh, They went so many places that She knew She had made the right choice. Every year They went on a nice trip, or She went with Mazie'sGrandma or Smudge'sMom. When She wasn't traveling, She still worked at the schools helping children who didn't have parents, or children whose parents needed help getting things right for them. Then, before we really knew Her, She started falling down a lot. She is really healthy, but it is hard for Her to walk, and She is always afraid She will fall down. How did this happen, Cofs, She asks me. I don't know how She stayed retired for such a long time. I told Her She should write a book, and He says that's a good idea. But mostly She just talks to Her friends on the computer. I will think about how to talk Her into it. After all, most people don't live such a long time after they retire, He says. She should tell people what She knows. I know She will fix nice dinners, even though She doesn't like to fix food so much any more. Luckily She knows there are hungry cats and Him, so She fixes nice dinners. TaTa for now.
