It is official. This holiday season is over, at least for awhile. Between the presents and the birthdays and all the good food, He and She are ready for things to calm down and get ordinary. She says things are never ordinary around here, but She is willing to give it a try. For example, about six catalogs came in the mail, and She did not look at even one of them. I'm all bought out, She says. All celebrated out. Ready to look for news of Her beloved Eddie, and be satisfied. She started being normal by going to the store for regular shopping. Oh, sure - She looked at the stuff that was half-off, but She didn't buy any of it. She did forget to get cookies, but they are not as important as stuff They can enjoy together. Sometimes She forgets that She doesn't have much need for Grandkids-food. How did they all get so big? She asks Him. He just shakes His head. She said She saved $35 with coupons today. Maybe She'll go on that show where they get lots of groceries for just a little money.
He has a new project now. A new year - a new project. And He is working with a very nice man who has lots of good ideas. She is chuffed that He has a project. He doesn't know how to sit and do nothing, like we do. Anyway, She has all Her computer friends. That's Her project. Keeping up with all these dear friends and virtual grandchildren keeps Her lively. Nothing cat-friendly for our dinner tonight, but I may sample some of the tomato sauce, just to see why She loves it. Bye for now.
