There was such a lot of thunder last night that I had to go and hide. I was so sorry to leave Her alone, but a cat cannot be too careful. When the thunder stopped, I made it up to Her by giving Her a thorough massage, although I think She slept through it. When we woke up it was cold and rainy. A good day to stay inside and be cozy. He needed an umbrella to go and feed the birds and get the paper. She thught it would be polite not to get in His way, so She remained in bed until everything was inside. The birds actually ate their breakfast in the rain. That is a sign of something, She says, but I don't know what.
It did stop raining long enough for Him to go and give His mother her birthday presents. She had no idea that it was her birthday, but at least He felt better about it.
There is a lot of bad stuff in the news about people getting hurt and killed over what they believe about government. He and She are devastated by this, since They believe very much in people being nice to each other. Suppose you don't agree with someone. You can agree to disagree and move on to other topics, or you can avoid the person entirely. Even when you do see each other, you can be nice. She calls it civil discourse. I just think it means don't shoot people who make you mad. Even though He has a medal for being a sharpshooter, He would never shoot anybody.
Good supper tonight. The lovely food that Katy'sPeople brought. I'll enjoy a bit of that, too. sy-o-narra.
