Greetings to the first day of the New Year. There were fireworks going off around here all night, and Kasey and I were very nervous. Luckily, it has rained a lot around here, so there were no fires, but we were shaking and upset, so They had to snuggle us while they stayed up very late. We woke up to a cheerful day, which does not seem like Saturday at all. We had to wish a Happy New Year to everyone we ever knew, so that took up part of the day. She told us to make resolutions, which is a kind of promise for making things better in this year. Kasey doesn't intend to change a single thing, but I will try not to be so scared of everything. She said She would start every day by thinking of something She is glad about that day. That is an easy one for Her, because She is glad about me every day, and about Him every day. She says that She is glad every day that we have enough. By the time She is glad about all Her family and friends, it will be time for lunch! I had to laugh right out loud at Her next promise. She promised to be more careful about money. She is already so fussy about money that I'm surprised that She ever buys anything! Well, it is Her promise. Kasey and I don't have any money, so She can't fuss at us about it. But poor Him. If He didn't get free tickets for the movie, They would not be going on a date tomorrow to see something They both want to see.
Mmmm. Salmon for dinner. It is a special dinner for the first day of the year. Lucky us!! Chow, bellas.
