Passive Cats
Lately, She has been talking about people who are passive-aggressive. That sound confusing to me, so I needed some help understanding what it means. She tells it like this: Aggressive means that you are looking for a fight and passive means you don't want to fight. I am a passive cat and all I want is love and snuggles. I think Kasey is passive, too, since she doesn't want to fight, she just wants everything her own way. The thing that She tells me is that there are people who have some opinions that could cause a fight, but instead of arguing, they say something mean in a pleasant way. Or do something mean in a friendly way. Sometimes She wonders if He is ever passive-aggressive. You see, He is the sweetest man who is glad to help Her with Her aches and pains problems. Oh, sure, He yells at His computer, but not at Her or me, and only at Kasey when she gets on His keyboard when He wants to work. But He is sweet and kind. So when She says She wants Him to get something for Her at the store, about one time in ten He brings the wrong thing. If She asks for sausage breakfast sandwiches, He brings bacon. If She asks for fried chicken strip for Her lunch, He brings raw chicken. He is lucky, because She just laughs and says He is being passive-aggressive. Say, do you suppose that is what Kasey is doing when she pees on His side of the bed? She did that when Kate lived here. It may have been Kasey's way of saying get rid of that new cat or I will fight with her. Anyway, She and I are glad we are passive, because we can laugh at things others do that are passive-aggressive. Oh, wait. That is not true about how She feels about politics. That makes Her aggressive. I am especially passive today, because there is pink fish thawing for our dinner. Yum. Peace out.

Wake-Up Cats
I will tell you a little secret. If it weren't for me, She would probably sleep all day. I know She needs Her rest, because She is old, but She needs to realize there are others in this house and we have our needs. When She has slept as long as I think She should, I get up on Her and walk back and forth, purring as loud as I can. If that doesn't get Her up, I pick up Her hand with my paw and slide under it, That is usually all it takes to get her awake enough to pet me, but it doesn't mean She will get up and go make some toast. Sometimes I have to pick up both arms, back and forth. If necessary, I go to my final massage tactic. I bite a piece of the blanket and dance with all four paws. That always does it. When I see She is finally getting up, I jump down so that am not in Her way, allowing Her to get up, go to Her litter bowl, take Her morning medicine and get out the bread and butter. He has usually turned on the coffee pot, but if not, She does it. Even if it isn't turned on, He has gotten it ready by grinding the coffee and putting water in the pot. And luckily, She has the one-cup-at-a-time coffee pot, so She doesn't have to wait. She says She needs the coffee to get Her motor running. When the toast is done, She puts a lot of butter on it. I think you can guess why She uses so much. She gives it to me on Her finger, and I lick off as much butter as I like. Sometimes I get ten fingers and sometimes three is enough. If I only have a few fingers of butter, She put some more on a little tray, where I can lick it later. Sometimes Kasey comes to see what is going on, but Kasey won't take butter off Her finger. If She puts it down on something, Kasey will lick the butter and enjoy it. Kasey does not like to let anyone know she is enjoying anything, so She waits until no one is around to enjoy the butter. That's how the morning goes around here when I finally get Her out of bed. All of this has made me tired, so I will nap before dinner. I think it is chicken tonight. Pardon me for yawning. bye, now.

Soothing Cats
This is something that we don't see very often. It turns out that She had a wicked headache today, and it was my job to soothe Her while She rested Her eyes. It is such a rare thing for Her to get a headache that I was not sure if I should climb up while She lay down with a towel over Her eyes, but it turns out that is just what She needed. For almost an hour She rested, after She took those red pills. You will not be surprised to know that Kasey did not come ou on Her tummy, but soothed Her from across the room. Kasey is kind of like that. It was His opinion that it was something called sinus. Another thing that made Her feel better was a talk with Her friend named Bertie, who lives very, very far away. He and She visited her friend, and later She went to visit her with Smudge'sMom. Today She wished her friend a happy birthday and found out that the lady's best present is that her sister is cured from cancer. That is a horrible disease, and it made Her so happy. It is a hard disease to get cured, and today was a good day to find it out. Tonight She goes to see Her beloved Crones. Not many people go to visit Crones anymore, but If Cleo'sMom is there it will be enough for Her, and maybe Smudge'sMom will be there as well. You know what this means, don't you? There will be no sharing of dinner tonight. He made sure we had plenty of kibbles before He left for His meeting, so Kasey and I will not starve. I hope all of my readers have a lovely evening and have nice dreams when they go to bed. Bone Swar.

Guarding Cats
Today She remembered what it was like when They were younger, and He used to go to work every day. When it was still pretty early, He went out, ready for a busy day. He had places to go and people to see and He said He would be gone all day. Well, you know what that means for Kasey and me. We were on duty all day taking care of Her. If you would have looked in the window, you would have thought we were napping, but we were only pretending to nap. We would have been ready at a moment's notice if someone had tried to bother Her. We would have jumped on him or her and bitten them on the ear until they decided to let Her alone. Very few people realize that cats are very good at guarding. The people think that if you are a big, loud d-o-g, you would scare people away. The joke is on them, because when it comes to biting ears and noses, Kasey and I excel. Actually, Her day was not very different than any other day. We had our toast and butter, She met with Her computer friends, She got things ready for Her lunch, and took stuff out of the freezer for our dinner. I sniffled the package that is defrosting on the counter. It smells like stew, which I love. It has lovely gravy for me, nice pieces of meat for Him and Her, and lots of vegetables for Him. Don't worry, She eats them, too, but vegetables are really His thing. If He was away all day every day, He would not have to worry about Her. Her beloved cats are here to take care of Her. Tomorrow will be a fine day, too, because She will see some of Her beloveds. For now, Oddy-ose.

Remembering Cats
This is another one of those special days that people keep having. This one is for remembering all the soldiers that fought in the wars. It includes sailors, Marines and other fighting guys, as well. We are very glad that He came back from the Marines pretty healthy. Oh, He did have a little problem of drinking too much stuff that wasn't good for Him, but He got over that, and was fine when He and She met each other. She says that She explained all that to me last year, but I can't remember all these special days. It is also a good thing that His project about the flags got done in time for this special day, because flags are important on this remembering day. He even went to the place where a lot of soldiers had graves, and He helped put a real flag on every grave. He was proud to do that, and we were proud of Him. Today They are both home, and it doesn't feel like a beginning of a week. That happens on special days. Anyway, She is going to fix some nice meat for a kind of fancy dinner, because She is so glad He served His country and came home safely. If you read my stories next year, I will try to remember better, and not have to tell you the same stuff all over again. I don't know how to salute, but I would if I could. Semper Fi.

The Cat Came Back
Imagine my surprise when She told me that a bunch of people said they were sad about my vacation from writing stories. I didn't think anyone really looked at them and read them. I guess my life is more interesting than I suspected. Since She urged me to come back even if I don't write every day, here I am. And I have a lot to tell you. First of all, He has put His flags on the computer and is waiting for people to buy them. It has been quite a long time that He was working on that project, and it turned out to be very nice. He has had a lot of people helping Him and everyone who knows abut it has good wishes for His good luck. I know SHE hopes He will sell a gazillion of them, because She says He could use the money. She thinks a lot about money. Another important thing was that LW had a birthday. You know She was there when LW was born, so that makes the little lady very special to us. Once LW was very sick, but now she is all well, and smart and beautiful. This week She had lunch with Cleo'sMom and -Girl. It was so delicious. She brought home some pie with no sugar for Him to have with a clear conscience. Ever since Kate moved away, Kasey has been playing with the scratching post, which is amusing, because Kasey doesn't have any claws. I think she just likes the smell of the catnip that is on it. Kasey even leaves her soft, blue blanket and has a snooze right by that post. It makes Her and me laugh. This week She has been thinking a lot about Mazie, who is in a beautiful dance called Cinderella. I believe that is a story that is famous to humans. Mazie'sDad sent Her pictures of the dance, which She loves. I will stop my story now, so that She can tell my readers it is back. Chow for now.

Vacation Cats
Do you know I have been writing my stories for nearly five years? I am surprised that I had so much to say. What I'm thinking about now is having a vacation. I have had to find a time when She is not computering, then I have to translate my stories from Cat into human words, and figure out what a lot of things mean. It is hard, but I always liked doing that. When I started, there were quite a lot of readers, but now I think there are only two or three. I will miss writing for them, but it is time to go to other projects. I have to help Him with selling His flags very soon, because He is running out of money and She can't come up with more.Of course I have to help Her, because She will never go out if I don't keep Her calendar full of lunches and things. Kasey and I are very happy to be Their cats, but it IS a lot of work. So I am going to take a vacation. I may come back some day, because He and She are old and need people to know what is going on at our House. I hope you all have a nice summer, and that you manage to keep up with what He and She are doing. Thank you for being my readers for all these years. Cheerio.

American Cats
Kasey and I were born right here in America. She told us so. She is having a kind of a hard time with all the talk on the TV about a topic named immigration. She says that is when you aren't born here, but you want to move into America. I think they are talking about the people who cut our grass and stuff like that. Here is something I learned about Her. A lot of years ago, Her grandmas and grandpas came here from other countries. When they got here, the people who were already here didn't like them and treated them very badly. Her beloved Grandma came from a place named Switzerland. After that Grandma got here, she married a man who came here from another place. Its name was Ireland. People treated him just horribly mean. He couldn't get work, so he got drunk a lot. Grandma took her two children and left him there. One of those children turned out to be Her mom. Meanwhile, Her other grandma and grandpa came her from still another place, named Italy. I guess all these people had the right papers so they could stay here, but the American people treated the Italian people even worse than the people from Ireland, if that is possible. After awhile, Her mother got married to one of the Italian sons, and people treated them so badly that Her father couldn't get work, and Her mother got sick, and then She came along. That's when everything really went bad. Her mother had to go home and live with her Swiss mother. That lady didn't want her daughter (Her mother) to go through what she had to go through with the Irish guy, so she took in her daughter, but not the husband. (Her dad). Well now, when She remembers what Her family went through because people didn't like immigrants, She wants them to be treated better. I am so glad I am a cat. Of course we are all suspicious of new cats coming in, but it isn't because they are immigrants. It is because we like things our own way. Wait a minute. Maybe that is part of the problem the humans are having. I'll have to think about that. Well, goodnight for now.

Too Good to be True Cats
Today I am even more glad that I am a cat than usual. It seems to me that humans have a lot to be wary of. Earlier this week, someone on the phone told Him that He had won a big bunch of money. He was so pleased that it hurt Her to tell Him is was a trick. She asked the guy on the phone how much it would cost Him, and the guy hung up That happened three days in a row. Now, today, a guy called and told Him that there was a valuable package waiting for Him, but they wouldn't send it without insurance. Of course, the insurance cost about all the money He gets from His check, but the guy said they would refund it if the package got there safely. She was about to scream, She was so mad at the guy. She finally convinced Him it was a trick and tried to get Him to understand that She was just mean and didn't believe that people gave back money or gave away things for nothing. She is sad that She is mean, but She is very particular about money, and He is not. He is nice and trusts everybody. He would never trick anyone like that. She told him that if we didn't have two million dollars worth of cats, we might actually be poor. And I know this is true, even if She laughed when She said it.
Chicken for our dinner tonight. We all love chicken. Osta Mon-yona, amigos.

Routine Cats
We have some routines at our house. Kasey and I have the best routines. The day starts with getting Him and Her up and out of bed. Then we have to have a little snack and go watch the birds in the back yard. Kasey gets three treats and I get several fingers of butter while He finishes His breakfast and goes to His desk. Kasey then goes into the bedroom for a short nap and then goes to His desk to help Him with His work. All this time, I am asleep on the back of the couch. When She goes to Her computer, I jump up and get some pets and skritches and get a nice brushing. If I feel like it, I get into Her inbox for a little rest. That takes me until Her lunchtime, when I observe her choice of lunch very carefully, and jump up for a close look and maybe a taste. After a morning like that, of course I am hungry, so I have some more kibbles and lie down under the table until my lunch settles, about two hours. By this time, Kasey has come into the room and she and I chase each other and sharpen our non-claws on the chairs or the scratching post, which smells like catnip. Sometimes Kasey goes quite wild when she smells the catnip, which makes Her laugh. By this time, the sun has started to come in the window, so I go lie in my sunspot and enjoy the warm sun. I help Her get ready to fix dinner, and while She watches Her questions show, I write my stories. When dinner is ready, I get on the arm of Her chair and taste what is on Her plate, That is when I lie down on Her tummy or chest and we watch our shows. I admit some of these shows don't interest me as much as Her. I have been known to doze off when they are tiresome. When it is time for bed, Kasey and I have some kibbles and lie down not too close to each other - maybe six inches apart and finally get some rest. The only thing that changes our routines are if He or She goes away for a visit or a meeting. If that happens, we remain alert and make sure no mouse or bird or bug comes into the house. We like having routines. It makes us feel important and safe. She is fixing something with meat and noodles, so I know I will like it. Ah-dyoo, cheries.

Musical Cats
You already know how He and She love us, and They love other cats, because cats are so very cute. Well, She gets a kind of book where you can pick out something you want to buy, so She sent for a kind of CD about Songs of the Cat. She has been playing it almost non-stop. Each song on it is about something else, but the singers change the words so they suit cats instead of what the original song was about. I have listened, and to tell you the truth, some of the songs are kind of sad. If something happened to us, She wouldn't want to hear the sad ones. Some are so funny that even Kasey chuckles when She hears them. Kasey never laughs , or at least not often, so you must know the funny ones are really funny. There is one where a cat got so fat that he was always hungry, and grew to be a giant. When the lady fell down on the floor and the cat was going to eat her, but She got away and the cat got sent to a zoo. It is only a joke, or She wouldn't like it.
There is a funny show all about the adventures of cats, and She plays those songs as well. It is a wonderful thing about cats that they can make you laugh and cry and say awwww. I am very glad that I am a handsome cat and that my sister Kasey and I get in cute positions, so They tell each other to come and look.
You know, She used to be a good singer, but now She just kind of croaks. I will bet you six kibbles that She starts singing some of the cat songs. I won't care how She sounds, I will love to hear that. I'll tell you about it if it happens. Oddy-oats for now.

Safe Cats
A guy came to the door today and Kasey and I heard him talking to Her about making our house safer. He says it would be free and that it is for advertising. She is always sure things like this are tricks, but the guy said He and She wouldn't have to pay anything. She doesn't like it, but He got talking to the guy, telling him all about His project. I bet the guy will be sorry He ever knocked on our door. (snerk) I feel perfectly safe without the sign in the yard, but it will be up to Him. Do you suppose that a safe sign in the yard would make people think we have something to steal? If they tried to kidnap Kasey or me, I would bite them and run away. Kasey would probably squirm and yow until they would let her run away. Well, it turned out He wanted the safety stuff, and especially since it included a thing for Her to put on that would let Her call someone to help Her when She falls down. She worries about Him spending money more than people stealing it. He is such a sweet person - even though He yells at the computer. Someone called and told Him He had won a bunch of money, but She found out they were tricking Him. It made Her sad, because He was so happy to think He won a contest. Sometimes people can really hurt other people's feelings. It was a lovely day all around, because a nice lunch with Hana'sGran had both of the ladies laughing, and that is always good. They had a paper that got Her a free dessert, which was delicious. Everything tastes better when it's free.
After the guy got finished putting in the safety stuff and showed Them how to work it, She fixed some nice chicken, which was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It was kind of like what Cleo'sGirl fixed before, but not quite as good. I liked it very much. Well now we are all safe and we can sleep in peace. Nighty night.

Popular Cats
In case you didn't know, cats are very popular. You can hardly go on the computer without seeing things about cats. There is no doubt that He and She like cats. She has songs about cats playing on her CD, and poems about cats, and pictures of cats. It is no surprise to Kasey and me. We have always known that cats are clever and very handsome to look at. We can be extremely serious cats, but we still manage to look cute in some positions and activities. Some of the people on the computer say that they are tired of looking at cat pictures. To those people, She says too bad, but I'm putting them on there anyway. She has managed to find out that looking at a cat having a snooze is a restful thing. And kittens can manage to look very cute and innocent, even after they have just peed on the rug. I have seen Her be in such a snit that She is wearing a frown-face. Then She looks at a cute picture of a cat, and next thing you know, She is smiling. When She sees the very prim and proper Miss Kasey acting silly with the cat nip, She would laugh out loud, even if She was having a bad day with aches and pains. I have heard Them talk about dogs. They have had dogs and cats over the years, but it is cats that decorate their wall and their bed-sheets. Yes, cats are very popular, and it is a joy to be a cat, especially His and Her cats. We are treated like movie stars around here. Just to prove that, She is fixing pink fish for our dinner. My favorite! Yummm. Cheers.

Mothers' Day Cats
Kasey and I don't remember our cat-Moms, but I think they taught us how to use the litter box, and how to wash our ears and whiskers. Then we went to live with our first families, but the ladies there were not mothers to us. They took our claws out and didn't play with us. They sent us to the Esspeeceeay. That's where we lived when we met Him and Her. Kasey and I didn't trust them at first and we hid under stuff. It took awhile, but we finally found out they were nice people, and after a trial period, we let them pet us and snuggle and give us treats. It wasn't long after that that Kasey let Him be her Dad, and I let Her be my Mom. He talked Kasey into letting Her be her Mom, too. So today we celebrated this special day. We gave Her several snuggles and a massage. It made Her so happy that She was smiling all day. When it was time for dinner, He and She went to Cleo's house and Cleo'sGirl made Cleo'sMom and our Mom a beautiful dinner. Cleo'sGirl gave Her a pretty card, and She carried it around when She got home, just as she did with the one from Cleo'sMom . She said See, Cofs, doesn't it make everything nice when you know someone loves you? Well, I know She loves me, and it makes me feel just great. I suspect that Kasey feels good, as well, but she would never admit it. Now we have to wait until Fathers' Day to celebrate about Him. We love both of them and we are so happy we live here in this cozy place. If our cat-Moms are alive and out there somewhere, they would be very happy for us. Good Night, all you Moms.

Ho Hum Cats
Every so often, Kasey and I have a day where nothing happens. This was that kind of day. It was nice weather, and He and She were just dong their usual stuff. Not many phone calls and no visitors. It may be because She woke up with a headache last night and couldn't go back to sleep until She had two red pills, but She slept kind of late. I am used to getting a nice early start, so that threw me off. He didn't yell one time at the computer, and went to the store. She asked Him to bring some stuff for Her lunches, and he was puzzled. She wrote down the exact words of what She wanted, but He still managed to get almost the right stuff - but not exactly. That is kind of funny sometimes, but She was not amused this time. She did thank Him, though, and decided She would have to get brave and go to the store Herself next week. Those were the highlights of the day, so you can see why it was Ho Hum. Wait. Where was one thing that made Her very chuffed. It was a Mother's Day card from Cleo'sFamily. She has kept it right by Her side all day. There may be some hope for a little treat. She is taking a pizza out of the freezer. She and I love pizza.
I hope you had a pleasant day without a lot of fuss and bother, like we did. Bway-noce dee-us.

Adjustable Cats
First of all, it was raining and thundering when I went to wake Her up, and I snuggled as long as I could before I finally had to go to my safe place in the closet. It was so dark out that He and She had to turn on lights, and the thunder was really rumbling. There were very loud cracks, and it rained and rained. I bet there were floods again, where such a lot of rain piled up. By the time He was eating His lunch, the rain was just rain, and the thunder rumbling had stopped. I came out of the closet, and Kasey went to get up on His desk, just like she normally does. By the time Her question program was on, the sun had started to come in the window, and I could go and snooze in my sun-spot. We had to adjust to three kinds of weather today. It is a good thing that we are all adjustable at our house. I have an idea that there are some cats who don't change with a day that has an assortment of things to adjust to. She says that there are people who can adjust and people who can't. When She was a kid, She told us, She couldn't adjust to being away from home, like when She went to camp. Luckily, She got over that when it was time for Her to go on travels to visit people and places. I guess home is where there are people who love you and treat you like family. She likes visiting now. When She couldn't stay in camp, and Her family had to come and take Her home, Her Grandma told Her She had to learn to bloom where She was planted. I'm not sure I know what that means, but She does, and says it means you should be adjustable, and to be your best wherever you are. I'm happy that Kasey and I do that.
Do you know what shrimp cakes are? That is what She is fixing for dinner and it sounds like something very tasty. Ta Ta for now.

Time Cats
When you are a cat, time doesn't seem to matter as much as it matters to humans. It seems as if He and She are always looking at timers and clocks. They are everywhere around here, and They do what they can to make sure they all say the same time. Right here on this computer there is a place where it tells what time it is. Imagine setting a clock to wake you up when you want to have a nice nap. Why set a clock to tell you when to wake up in the morning when you have a perfectly good cat? She doesn't have naps most of the time, and She doesn't need a clock to wake Her up. I decide when to have Her awake, and give Her a nice massage and a snuggle or two. That always works. She does set a clock to tell her when to take things out of the oven, though. You have to tell the microwave how long you want it to be on, and then it kind of whistles when it is done. If Kasey and I needed to do that, we would be too busy to even have a nap. There is something about time that goes on in human heads. The other day, a lady asked Him how long we have had the adorable cats. (ahem). He said it must be about two years now, and Kasey and I burst out laughing. We have been His and Her cats for most of our lives, ever since we left the Esspeeceeay. He should have said that it doesn't matter, because we belong here, and it seems as if we have always been here. When She used to go to work, She had a job where you had to be careful of the time. They even rang bells to tell you when to stop talking and let the kids go. Now, She doesn't have to be careful to go to bed right after the news on TV, and She knows She doesn't need a clock to wake Her up, so She has learned a few lessons about time. Kasey needs to work on Him. Also, nobody needs to tell me when it is time to eat our dinner, which looks very good tonight, from what I saw. Have a good dinner and a good sleep, and try not to look at the clock so much. Nighty-night.

Eating Cats
Today I want to talk to you about what people eat. It is important to me, because I depend on certain things to make me have a lovely day. I depend on butter for my breakfast, and on something tasty on Her plate each evening. These things do not replace my regular food, but I still depend on it. Kasey and I eat dry kibbles. He and She once had a cat that They loved, and that kitty got some bad canned food which made her sick and she died from it. They don't want to take a chance with us, so we don't get canned food. That is OK with me, because we have very tasty kibbles and plenty of water. Humans, on the other hand, need variety in what they eat, so He and She have something different every evening. I bet She could eat pizza every day, but They don't like the idea of the same thing every day, so She changes the menu. Lots of Her friends are talking about eating only vegetables. Aunt H. and Uncle J. do that. Once He ate only vegetables and He couldn't stick to it for more than one year. She says She likes to eat meat and fish, so She will continue to do that. If everyone else gets mad at Her it will make Her very sad, but She will not change. She says She is too old to change now, and I understand, because She is very old. She is also fat. She says She has tried a lot of times to be not so fat, but it hasn't worked for Her, so Since She doesn't have to go many places, She can live with Her sore knees. I know She would not give up Her cookies. She eats six every day. Another thing She really likes is to have dessert every evening. Since I don't like sweet things, and He should not eat them, I guess She could skip that, but I don't think She will. She has stopped eating such big plates of food, but that is as far as She will go, and I am not interested in fighting with Her about it. I saw what She is fixing for dinner tonight, and I believe I will like it . I'll let you know. Chow for now.

Purring Cats
Sometimes She calls me a purr-factory, because I make so many loud purrs. I wish I could tell you I do that on purpose, but purring just comes out when I am a happy cat. I purr when I am eating my butter. I purr when I am getting pets. I purr when I am giving massages, and people on the telephone can sometimes hear me purr. My sister, Kasey also purrs, but her purrs are so quiet that you have to be very close to hear her. Our Auntie Heather can get Kasey to purr so that she can hear, but I don't believe She has ever heard more than a whisper. There is a picture that She sent to Mazie, and it show baby lions giving hugs and snuggles to the guy that takes care of them. It is almost as cute as Kasey and I are. The funny thing is, those baby lions don't purr. They make some other noise that She says is practice for roaring when they get big. To me, it sounds like squeaks, but the guy that they are playing with doesn't mind that it is not purrs. One thing that She tells me is that when I am lying on Her chest and I am purring, it is almost like medicine to Her. It is very lucky that I can do that to make Her feel nice and relaxed, because She keeps me safe.
A lady came over today to talk to Him about insurance, and I went to the meeting and got up on the table. The lady didn't mind, and I wasn't scared. A nice thing is that She was proud of me, because I usually go and hide when someone comes over that I don't know. After all these years, She says, Coffee is finally feeling safe.
The thing She is fixing for dinner is a nice little round meat and something She calls flat bread with cheese on it. I will be glad to try that. Sy-o-nara.

Bargain Cats
I believe you know this fact about Her. She is very particular about money. Some people might think She is cheap, but She says She is not cheap, She is a bargain hunter. And if you know Him, He is not particular about money at all. She can't figure out the difference between the two of Them. Oh, sure. He looks at prices when He is shopping, and sometimes gets the lowest-price thing, even if the one that costs more is actually a better bargain. The thing is, They usually feel the same about most things. If They didn't see the stuff on TV about voting the same way, She would have made Him deaf from screaming. They feel the same about how women should be treated, and They share the work around the house. When it comes to money, His approach is quite different from Hers. He had an idea about a business that would sell displays about airplanes. His style was to go out and buy a big bunch of airplane models.. I mean a big bunch. Then He changed and focused on His flag idea. Luckily, He met a smart business guy and that guy really helped Him pay attention to how things needed to be done. When that happened, She was relieved. He has spent a long time on the flags idea, and it is really nice. It has taken us so much time that He is getting tired of projects and there He is with a garage full of airplane models. Of course, She looks at them and sighs. I am sure that He will always have enough money for kibbles and treats, so I am fine with how He spends His money. It gives Her some worries. Kasey doesn't care.
I believe She is fixing some stuff for dinner that looks like meat but She says it is a plant. It goes with the red sauce I like so much, and some of those skinny noodles. I'll let you know how it turns out. Bye, now.

Hard Working Cats
This has been a very hard-working day. I don't know about Her, but I am tired out. At least it was nice things that we had to do. It was about presents today. First, we got LW'sFamily's presents all sorted and ready to send. As long as we were thinking about presents, we went and started to organize the closet where She keeps the presents. Do you know how hard it is to organize things? It didn't help that Kasey climbed all around in there while we had the door open. There are things in there that have to stand up, like books. Odd-shaped things that have to placed exactly right or they might fall down. and things in packages with other things. I can't say too much, because I might be telling a secret about something She has for you. Yes, If She knows you, there is probably a present for you in there. She already has presents for Christmas, as well as everyone's birthday. I was chuffed to see that She has some cat things in there. Some of Her beloveds love cats as much as She does. It is a kind of work that tires a person and a cat out, because you have to stand up a lot. She is not very good at standing up, so She needs to take rests, and I have to give Her snuggles so She gets Her strength back. Well, the box for LW'sFamily is ready to go, and the box for Mazie's birthday is almost full, even though that day is a lot of weeks away. Our next job will be filling a bag of stuff for the poor people. There will be somebody to come and pick that up this week. You would not believe the amount of stuff She has, and He and She are proud to share it.
Since I worked so hard, She decided to have fish for our dinner. It wasn't pink, but it was very good. I have to go and get a nap now, so I will bid you farewell.

Present Cats.
Dear readers, I bet you are wondering if I am alright, after I missed a day of writing my story. I just sort of took the day off. She did something kind of odd. She turned the computer off when She left to do anything, because He keeps telling Her She should. So it turned out that we were so busy doing other things that I decided not to bother Her about it. Actually, She was getting things ready for LW'sFamily, who have birthdays about every day in the next couple of weeks. We don''t get to see them very often, so He and She are sending them their presents in a box. Since She doesn't wrap up presents like most people, there won't be much surprise after they open the box, but these are some very busy folks, so it doesn't really matter. Surprises are for little kids anyway, She says. To tell you the truth, I think that is just Her excuse for not feeling like wrapping. Don't tell Her I said that, though. The presents have been in the present-closet for a long time. If you looked in there today, you would see presents for Smudge'sMom, and Cleo'sDad, and their birthdays are far away. She loves getting presents for people, but then, you know that. Why else would She have a present-closet. She will be looking at a book and says Mazie would like that, and She would get it.Yes, She even has presents for Mazie's birthday and it is farther away than Cleo'sDad's. As for what She especially likes for Her own presents are ones that you can use up. She has way too much stuff already.
Besides presents, today we are going to try some of the food She got by using one of those save-money papers. They sent Her some nice soup and some fancy bread. That sounds just right for tonight's dinner. I am sure I will like it. I think I will go and watch Her get it ready. TTYL, folks.

Pampered Cats
One thing that I love is to be pampered. That is what you call it when someone takes extra good care of you. When She gives me ten fingers of butter in the morning, I feel very pampered. When I get to lick the red stuff off Her pizza, or when I get to lick the gravy off her plate - That makes me feel pampered. I can't say what makes Kasey feel pampered, because Kasey believes she deserves every bit of special care that might exist. You can't take extra good care of someone who doesn't believe that anything is extra, if you know what I mean. Today, She came home from lunch with Rocky'sMom, and She was feeling especially pampered. First, R'sM bought something for His dinner, which means She doesn't have to fix. With that food and what She had for leftovers, She says She is all set for no working today. After lunch, She went to a place where a person takes good care of your feet and toes. The person was especially nice, and did not make a fuss because Her feet looked like lizard paws. It was so nice to have Her feet and toes and legs massaged like I massage her chest. If there is one thing that makes Her feel pampered, it is a massage. With all the fuss and bother going on in the news, it is pleasant to have a day when you don't have to think about troubles. When you can laugh and have fun, and feel pampered. The troubles seem a little easier. We don't miss Kate so much, and Kate'sMom and Kids. I guess it wouldn't be special if you were pampered all the time, but for today, it feels just fine. Cheers, mates.

Halfway There Cats
At least He won't have to go to jail, because he went to get His car-sticker first thing this morning. Whew. We are half way to being safe from getting abandoned because He and She had to go to jail! She is still in a bit of trouble, because She has to depend upon the mail to deliver Her sticker. In the chance that it doesn't come today, I have urged Her to print out the letter the sticker-people sent and keep it with Her if She goes out in Her car. Honestly, I have to do all the thinking for those two. So now I know the kibbles will keep coming and I won't have to go back to the Esspeeceeay.
With that worry out of the way, it is turning out to be a fine day. plenty of butter this morning, and plenty of snuggles, as well. Kasey and I are in very good health, and we have had a fine time running and jumping today. I believe it is the catnip that makes Kasey so playful, because she usually just runs around the house in the middle of the night, all by herself. I like to play with Kasey, but without any catnip to give me energy, I tend to tire out, and need to have a couple extra naps. It is a good thing there is some chicken or fish to give me that little extra push. Since the new month started, She was busy ordering some more good things to eat . They come in the mail. and this bunch of stuff looks pretty interesting, as I looked over Her shoulder. Do you want to guess if all the new things were on sale? If you have to guess, you don't know Her very well. (snerk).
All that worry about stickers and Them going to jail has worn me out, plus the running and jumping with Kasey, so if you will excuse me, I will find a nice sunny place and get some shut-eye. Hosta la veesta.
