Time Cats

When you are a cat, time doesn't seem to matter as much as it matters to humans.  It seems as if He and She are always looking at timers and clocks. They are everywhere around here, and They do what they can to make sure they all say the same time. Right here on this computer there is a place where it tells what time it is. Imagine setting a clock to wake you up when you want to have a nice nap.  Why set a clock to tell you when to wake up in the morning when you have a perfectly good cat? She doesn't have naps most of the time, and She doesn't need a clock to wake Her up. I decide when to have Her awake, and give Her a nice massage and a snuggle or two. That always works.  She does set a clock to tell her when to take things out of the oven, though. You have to tell the microwave how long you want it to be on, and then it kind of whistles when it is done.  If Kasey and I needed to do that, we would be too busy to even have a nap. There is something about time that goes on in human heads. The other day, a lady asked Him how long we have had the adorable cats. (ahem). He said it must be about two years now, and Kasey and I burst out laughing. We have been His and Her cats for most of our lives, ever since we left the Esspeeceeay. He should have said that it doesn't matter, because we belong here, and it seems as if we have always been here.  When She used to go to work, She had a job where you had to be careful of the time. They even rang bells to tell you when to stop talking and let the kids go. Now, She doesn't have to be careful to go to bed right after the news on TV, and She knows She doesn't need a clock to wake Her up, so She has learned a few lessons about time.  Kasey needs to work on Him. Also, nobody needs to tell me when it is time to eat our dinner, which looks very good tonight, from what I saw. Have a good dinner and a good sleep, and try not to look at the clock so much. Nighty-night.
