Generous Cat

One thing She likes to say is I have enough, and enough is as good as a feast. That's what She was thinking about when She talked to Boru'sMom, from Her old church. Should She give the church money? Well, He and She don't go there much anymore, so they thought They should just drop out and save the money. She talked to me about it last night, and I told Her to be generous. As long as He and She can still buy cat food, I think They should go ahead and stick with the church that They started, along with some of Their friends. That's very generous of you, Cofs, She said to me. I humbly accept Her praise. Of course, Kasey doesn't care.
She saw our UncleJohn, and he is coming over later. I don't have to run and hide, because he and I know each other very well. Kasey will be disappointed that he didn't bring our AuntHeather with him. Kasey really likes her.
Well, She has a few supplies for some dinners for the next few days, and I think tonight's dinner has some shrimp involved, so it is fine with me. A  busy day, but a good one, with shrimp and snuggles. TTYL

Brave Strong Cats

You have to admit, Kasey and I are brave and strong. We managed to help our UncleJohn survive while He and She were gone for a long, long time. We have helped them get back to dry land after their boat ride, and we have helped Him with His airplane stuff. So we were not very upset when LW didn't come over, as She told us she would, and bring her sibs with her.  LW'sMom cannot help it if she is so busy doing minister things that her days get all filled up.  We love our LW, though, and want to see her and the rest one of these days. If we can believe Her, She says She will see LW'sMom later this week. We will wait and see.
She seems to be feeling better each day. She has ordered a bunch of stuff on  the computer, but She will have to stop kind of soon. She has so much stuff for birthdays and Christmas that She has already forgotten some and lost some. She had very cute boxes for little presents, and She has looked high and low. I guess I will have to get into that closet and help Her find those boxes. What would She do without me!
Barbeque for dinner tonight. I heard Her tell Him. Oh, I love BBQ!  Well, I'm off to the closet. If I don't come back, send help. Sy-o-nara.

Airplane Cats

Today was all about Him and His airplanes. You know He loves His airplanes, and makes models of them. He has been working on a project about displaying airplanes and space stuff, with explanations. Today there was a big showing of models of airplanes, and He has so many that He took them to sell to people who are interested, and explain His project. She expected Him to be gone until late at night, but He is already home and having a nap. Why are you  home so early, She asked Him. Because I sold all my models, He said.. She had to resist jumping up and down - first because it is hard for Her sad knees, but mostly because He got some money back. She worries about money, you know.  He had spent quite a lot on those models and it made Her worry. I can hear Her humming now, which shows She is chuffed.
Katy-next-door has to find a home pretty soon, because her people are moving away soon. If She had Her way, Katy would move in here, but Kasey and I would have a very hard time with that. It would be better if Katy found a nice, safe new home.
Since He is home, I bet there will be a nice dinner. Maybe some noodles and sauce. That is always good. I will go and give Her a hint to do that. TTFN.

Better Cats

She is starting to get better today, Perhaps because of Her visit with Hana'sGran. She always feels better after time with H'sG. They both had much news to catch up on, because each of them had been away to different parts of the world, and they had pictures and adventures to share. Talking about the wonderful food and people on that boat ride made Her feel glad She went. Even if it left Her all wobbly and croaky, She enjoys it more when She can talk about it.
He is getting ready for a big day tomorrow, when He will be selling his models and showing off his display ideas. She will be glad to see how everything goes with that. Right now, Kasey is helping Him do His computer work.  They are so lucky to have us!
He wants to have some meat for His dinner tonight, so that is what came out of the freezer. I like when they have meat, because it leaves juice on the plate, and I get to lick it off when She is done. If this makes you gack, try not to think about it. They wash the dishes very clean. Aloha for now.

Hoping Cats

Kasey and I are hoping that She starts walking right again. Besides the cough and the scratchy throat, is the trouble walking around. We thought She was ready for the extra walking, but it is clear to us that She was not. When She took Her car to get its stickers today, to obey the law, the kind boys that worked there helped Her to get inside, then back out to Her car.  The cough and scratchy throat will go away, but She is scared that the walking thing might last longer. She will be well enough to take Katy'sGirl next week, and She will enjoy some time with Hana'sGran tomorrow. That always makes Her feel better. Mostly, She will just lie around and give snuggles to Her favorite (ahem) cat.
It sounds as if He is going on another eating diet, so She and I will just have our own meals while He eats His vegetables.  I heard Her telling Him that She thinks about all the food on that boat, and wishes She could just go and eat ice cream all afternoon. Since She can't, She will just have nice chicken for our dinner, and She will make it taste very good..  Oddy-ose, guys.

Paid-Up Cats

Now that all the boat ride and things are paid for, She has to be sure the money for the car is paid. She doesn't have to pay for the car, but there is a cost for being sure that everything is fine in case of an accident. Where we live, it is the law that you must have this maybe-trouble service.  She saves money all year, just to have it when it is due. Today He took it to the place where He needs to pay it. Whew. That is a big load off Her mind.
There is one more big thing She has to do about Her car this week, but maybe She will do that tomorrow. One these things are done, the car is good for a whole year. Except for check-ups. You know how that is. Check up before something goes wrong.
She is fixing a nice dinner with meat and vegetables tonight. Our AuntieHeather wouldn't want it, but He can't wait to have  it.  It looks kind of good to me, as well. I am chuffed that She seems to be getting around a bit better, and Her voice is coming back. I still ignore Her, though. (snerk) Bye for now.

Peanut Butter Cats

One of Her favorite things to eat is peanut butter. I don't care for it much, myself, but She puts cinnamon honey on it, which I can give a couple of licks. She says honey is good for you, and so is cinnamon. I don't think She should act like it's medicine, though, and eat a lot of it. Today for lunch She had peanut butter pancakes. They looked so good, but She ate the regular food first, so She brought the pancakes home to eat for Her dinner. He says He has something that He can eat, so She can just eat the pancakes. Hmf. I thought our routines would start up again. Oh, well.
She really missed all Her friends, and saw Cleo'sMom and -Girl today, also Smudge'sMom. She is looking forward to seeing Hana'sGran as soon as She can walk and talk right. It's funny. The boat ride was very fine, but She says it ate Her lunch. I think that means She came back worse than when she set off.  She thinks everyone should have the fun of a boat ride like Theirs, but should be prepared to walk a lot, and even climb stairs.  It is fun to be treated like a royal princess or a cat, and She loved having ice cream every day for free.
I don't care what She says. I am chuffed to have Her here with me for snuggles and butter and skritches and a soft place for a snooze. Chow, bellas.

Whispering Cats

When She first woke up this morning, She tried to say good morning to me, and when She talked, nothing came out. There was something wrong with Her voice and She could only whisper. If She tried to talk louder, it came out in a squeak. I tried not to laugh, but honestly, you have to admit that is funny. The way She explained it was that the air on the boat was very dry, unless you were outside, and She didn't go outside very much. He thinks it is because She met so many new friends that She just talked all day long for all those days, and it used up Her voice for the month. She says She played games and won some prizes. She also got Her toes painted and Her fingers shined up nicely. The nail lady was from Jamaica, and treated Her like She was a movie star or a queen, or a cat. The place was called a spa, and the main spa lady was from South Africa. It made Her happy to hear her talk, because it sounded like Her beloved friends, and She felt cozy. Then another girl from Jamaica put wax on Her chin and eyebrows, and when it got cool, the girl pulled it off, and there went Her extra hair. When She left that spa, She felt very very special. He and She said everything on that boat was to make the sailing people feel special..
Kasey and I have been whispering today, to make Her feel OK about not being able to talk. She is repaying us by fixing fish for our dinner. It has been a long time since She has fixed dinner. Three whole weeks. Back to routines, I hope. Toodle Pip.

Aloha Cats

Hello, my dear readers. She is finally home, and so is He, so my stories will be back at last. It seems as if They have been gone forever, but now They are back home! Kasey was so glad to see them that she actually went to the door. I, on the other hand, went into my private closet space, because a cat can't be too careful about people and suitcases coming into the house, even if the people sound like Them. One problem is that they came home early. We didn't expect them for two more days or so, and They were lucky that Cleo'sDad could pick them up.  Our UncleJohn didn't get the message, so he was very surprised.
She came and got me out of my closet, and I had a riot of snuggles, and purred so loud that She was chuffed. I guess She didn't know what to bring us for a souvenir, but Kasey and I were just glad to see them. That was enough of a present for us. Of course, our UncleJohn took perfect care of us, but you must agree, there is nobody like your own People. When He put Kasey's pillow and beloved blue blanket back on the bed, she actually purred so She could hear it. When She finally went to bed, I gave Her four massages during the night.
She is very dizzy after the boat ride, and doesn't walk so well, and He has a cold, which is getting better. She learned a lot on that boat ride, and I will be telling you more about it as soon as She tells me.
Glad to be back. Aloha.

Bon Voyage Cats

Kasey and I want to wish Him and Her a good trip on that boat. They will be gone a long time, and it won't bring them back any faster if we hope they don't have a good time. She is taking Her cane, but not the walker. If She falls down, there are plenty of people who will help Her up. She started to worry about how She would get off the big boat onto a little boat to go to the city, but then She decided not to worry. If She can't do it, She will just stay on the big boat and let Him go to the cities. He told Her it is not as if She were the first person with moving problems they ever had on the boat. Right then, She said I won't worry. Now all She worries about is if She will wake up in time for Cleo'sMom to take them to the airplane in the early morning.
One thing She learned is that Hana'sGran's new grandbaby is already on its way before she even gets there. It will be a hard time for H'sG to fly halfway around the world, where her other grandbabies live while she wonders what the new baby looks like and feels like. You can guess that She wishes She could see that new baby, as well.
I want to wish happy days to all the people that read my stories. I will have lots to tell you in a lot of days, when They get back. He and she keep saying this word from where they were going. It means hello AND goodbye. It is Aloha. So Aloha to you, my friends.

The Cat-Sitter

Today we got to meet the Cat-Sitter. He is Mazie'sOldestBrother, and he is very nice. He found me where I was hiding, and gave me some nice skritches, and told me to call him John. But he didn't try to pick me up, and he didn't bother me.. This guy understands cats. He knows Kasey is quite different from me, and looked at her in the box on His desk, but he didn't try to pet her. Later she got curious and came out to see him. Kasey let him pet her, so I guess she realized he was OK. It is a relief to know our sitter is a guy who understands cats. It was a relief to Him and Her, too.
All that is left for Her to do is to get gas in Her car, in case John wants to drive somewhere, and get the special gift to Smudge'sMom. She will put Her book with the crossword puzzles in Her bag, and maybe take Her book that tells where all the people are, in case She wants to write a letter. Kasey and I have a bet that She will still forget something. (snerk)
So while He and She are riding on the boat, Hana'sGran will be far away seeing Hamza and Hana, and meeting the new little sister. When they both come back, they will have such fun looking at pictures. Do you see how cheerful I am being? I don't want to spoil Her trip, but I will miss Her and Him. I'll be back tomorrow, then no stories for awhile. Cheers.

Suit-Kasey

This morning, She put Her big suitcase on the bed so She could get almost everything packed up. As soon as She turned around, Kasey got into the suitcase and would not get out. She thought it was cute, and I laughed until I fell over. Well, She said, I'll just have to pack around you. When She started putting things in one side, Kasey moved to the other side. Kasey did not get out until She put things on top of her. As soon as She would get a layer done and look back in the closet, Kasey would jump back in the suitcase. At this rate, Kasey will end up on that big boat.
Here's another funny thing. He thought they would be able to put their things into one suitcase . She thought She was going to fall over laughing, just like me! Any day She could take things for three weeks in a half a suitcase. I hear Her laughing when She thinks about it.
She is planning an old-fashioned dinner. Not old food, mind you. Just the way She used to cook in the old days. That means taking some left-over this and that, adding different stuff, and ending up with a whole new dinner idea. She calls it creative. I'm not used to Her being creative. She says it used to be fun. Do you know while They are gone, She won't have to cook anything. She says She will be spoiled. I think She is already spoiled, but I'm not going to mention it. Good night, all.
