Spooky Cats
This is a special day for humans, and like most of the special days, I don't quite get it. It seems as if kids are supposed to dress up in costumes and go to every house and tell you to give them candy or they will do something to you. It sounds very rude, and also not funny. Trouble is, She just loves it, and gets candy to give the kids. It is a night of mischief, and not a good night for cats to be out. The idea is that it is about witches, and cats are known for being friends with witches, so people think it is OK to chase them, or even hurt them. Don't worry about us. We will be tucked away safely in here. I hope Kate is safe somewhere, too. She is gray all over, and that is a scary kind, they say. Not as scary as black, but I still hope she is safe tonight. I don't know why they have to make things scary and have to give candy away. As a matter of fact, He and She know some witches, and so do Kasey and I. The ones we know are kind and helpful and believe in taking care of the earth. Mostly, She likes to see the little kids in funny costumes. We have done this before, but I will be glad when it's over. I hope all of you get treats and no tricks tonight. Oh, and don't worry about ghosts. They can't hurt you. Toodles.

Stormy Cats
Things are nice and sunny here where we live, but He and She can't stop talking about a big storm that is happening somewhere else. They have looked at pictures and listened to reports. She has read notes from so many of Her beloveds who were living where the storm happened. So far, everyone is OK, but the worst of the storm has left a lot of floods and broken houses and bridges and things. Besides the big waves in the ocean and the rain, there has been a lot of wind and even snow. It is very unusual for a storm to go to the places where this storm is. She was glad to hear from Her brother and Her darling Mazie that everything there is OK, then She found out Her Eddie-girls managed to get by without any damage. You can't believe that everyone has stopped talking about the big election coming next week and are talking about the storm. He and She are worried that people won't be able to vote where that storm was. Our guy needs all his votes.
Still no sight of Kate, although He puts out food, just in case. I will be glad if Kate found another house to live in. Kate is really a nice cat - she just isn't used to other cats sharing her people.
I hope all the people who read my stories are safe and happy. It is a good feeling to be safe and happy. More tomorrow, readers. Bye.

Monday Cats
This is a Monday, and He is not going to the doc. His bandage is off of His arm, and things look very healed up. She is baffled as to why He took off the bandage, since the doc said it needed to be on there until a certain day, and this isn't the day. She knows He will say He has a good reason, and there is no sense to argue.
Kasey and I have about decided that Kate is gone for good. She has not come back anywhere near the house, and has not been back to her old house, as far as They can tell. It is Her opinion that she has run away to find a more exciting family. Maybe Kate is on her way to find her old family, with the kids and the little dog. All She knows is that she isn't around here. Since Kate has been gone, Kasey and I have wandered into our old spots. Yesterday I slept in my sun spot fr the first time in a long while. It felt very nice. My favorite thing is that I can get up on Her lap and get snuggles without a duel with Kate. Kasey and I have run all around the house, for good exercise.
He and She are reading and hearing about a big storm that is happening far away where Her brother lives, and Mazie, and Her OperaGirl. She heard that everyone is OK so far. He and She and Kasey and I are sending very good hopes that everything turns out OK for them. Just when you think you have troubles, along comes something that makes you glad you are not in a storm or snow or a bunch of water. More later. Chow

Divided Cats
Kasey and I have divided feelings about our missing sister, Kate. Half of our feelings want Kate to come home safely, and the other half are enjoying our freedom around the house. We have spent the last bunch of weeks being scared of Kate, scared of going out of the bedroom, even the closet, because Kate is bossier even than Kasey - and that is very bossy. He and She are worried about Kate, because They are responsible, but no matter where He looks, Kate is nowhere to be seen. Here is what I hope. I hope that Kate got tired of being inside here all day and night, when she was used to being able to meet with friends, climb up trees and chasing dogs. It is a different world for Kate than it was for Kasey, when she was outside. Kate has claws, for one thing, and she spent most of her time outside, where Kasey had never been farther than the edge of the patio. She tells me it is going to be alright, so I won't spend a lot of time worrying. I have enough to worry about just being a scaredy cat.
Tomorrow, LW'sMom is going to be a real Reverend, and there will be a big meeting to see that happen. She wishes She had enough skills to go to see that, but She doesn't walk very well, remember, and She falls down a lot. That would take people's mind off of LW'sMom, wouldn't it.
What She hopes is that someone takes a lot of pictures. Have to go help Her fix dinner now. Cheerio.

Display Cats
The project that He has been working on is all about displays. That means He and His helpers are making some little models of what things look like. When You look at the displays, you are supposed to see a real-life thing, only a small copy of it. It would be on a piece of wood, and would have a cover on it so you don't have to dust it. He believes that people who are interested in the big things would like to have a model of the thing, only little. She tries to keep Herself separated from the business of the project. She wants Him to feel good about His project, and can't wait until He sells the things. When money goes out, She wants money to come in. That's just how She is.
Kate has not come back to our house, even though it has gotten cold outside. His helper guy says he saw Kate out in the neighborhood, so we have kind of high hopes about that. Meanwhile Kasey and I are not relaxing our guard. We don't want to have to get used to staying in the bedroom all over again.
You should see what She is fixing for our dinner tonight. There are sausages that smell like pizza, and She is cooking onions and some green stuff to mix with it. I might try the sausage, but the rest, well, He is welcome to it. I'll check back with you tomorrow and tell you how things are going.

Frantic Cats
Kasey and I never believed this would happen. Oh, yes, we talked about it, and joked about it. When it happened to Kasey, after what she went through, we were certain it would never happen. But it has happened, and we are frantic. This morning, when He went out to feed the birds, of all things, Kate got out. He was so surprised that he only started chasing her when she was far ahead, and there she went - over the fence, and gone. He and She looked all over. It was kind of like when Kasey got out, but we didn't see that happen, so we weren't sure Kasey wasn't hiding inside, but Kate - we were sure she was outside. All day She expected Kate to be at the door. All the years she lived next door, she came to our front door every day, and came over the fence to our back yard, too. Today Kate was nowhere to be found. Did she go visit another neighbor, a friend from when she didn't live here? Is she waiting by her old house, thinking the people might come home? Or has she climbed a tree and is watching us look for her, and laughing at us. Kasey and I will remain on out guard, because as soon s we believe she is gone, she will be back. It is just frantic around here.
It is supposed to get very cold and stormy tonight. That means that He and She won't be resting a moment until They find that little gray and silver cat. Wish us luck.

Sleepy Cats
To start with, He took all the blankets off the bed so He could put them in the wash. That left just a white cover on the bed, and I must say, it was really inviting. Kasey and I curled up on that white cover and snoozed most of the day away. Of course, every time She came in the room, there was a lovely petting session. She thinks it is easier to pet me when I am on the bed. I love those pets. A strange thing was that He liked to snooze on that white cover, as well. Early this morning, he was working on His project, but then, after His helper came, He had to lie back down, only this time without the covers on the bed. It made Her kind of worried that He needed to take so many naps. He felt very sleepy one other day, and here He was, sleepy again. She says sometimes He is up, sometimes He is down. He seems to be in a down time now, but His helper kept working all day. The one who wasn't sleepy today was She. For one thing, She doesn't like to sleep in the daytime, and for another, She sleeps just fine at night. I tell Her She doesn't know what She is missing, because Kate, Kasey and I are happy if we sleep most of the day and night.
She is glad She is not sleepy, because She wants to go and visit with Her beloved Crones. She says the place where the Crones meet has some delicious coffee when it is this time of year. She will be at the Crone meeting during dinner time, so She isn't fixing anything for us tonight. I'll bet you eleven kibbles that she fixes fish tomorrow. Hope you have a pleasant sleep tonight. Buh Bye.

A Day with Cats
Today was one of those busy days where we stayed home and nothing happened, but we were still busy. For me, being busy is creeping around and spying on Kate, and having the occasional hissy fit with her. Kasey was busy hopping up and down for treats and going to help Him. She hardly had time to play with her beloved fish-toy. Kate was busy following Her around, just in case She decided to put down some treats. Kate also like to stay close to be sure She and I don't get too much snuggle time. He was busy with His project. His helper came again, and I'm not sure what the helper does, exactly, but He stays busy with him. It gets interesting how much time He spends on the telephone, as well. Probably the least busy was She, since She stays out of His business, and much of the cat stuff. She visits with all Her computer friends, She arranges some more of Her presents, which She is putting into different boxes to keep things neat. She gets on the phone with the people that pay for His and Her doctors. All I can figure out is that She has a nice plan, but wants to add some little thing to it, and the plan people want to make it harder than She likes. At least She doesn't have to worry about the President arguments any more. The last one was yesterday. He and She have already voted, remember. That way, it doesn't matter who wins the arguments. I smell something cooking, so I had better go and check. Nighty Night.

Variety Cats
All three of us are different kinds of cats. Even though some cat-moms have a variety of kittens, Kate, Kasey and I all had different cat-moms. I am by far the most handsome since I am an orange tabby, but I'm also NOT an orange tabby. To begin with, I am more tan than orange, and I have very few stripes It was because I reminded Her of a cup of coffee-the-drink with cream in it that She gave me the name Coffee. I like my name, partly because it is nice and easy, and partly because She loves coffee a really lot. Sometimes, when we are having a snuggle and a chat, She calls me Cofs for short. I don't mind. I'm sorry to say that to me, Kasey is not as beautiful as He thinks she is. Her fur is a lot of different colors. You might mistake Kasey for a gray tabby, but when you look closely, you see spots of orange, and she has this one cream-colored paw. He thinks Kasey is beautiful, but I think he is blinded by love. I know, and She knows that Kasey is a tortoiseshell cat, and those cats are just a mash-up of colors. Our latest sister, Kate is - well - interesting to look at. Sometimes Kate looks gray, sometimes silver. It depends how she arranges herself in the light. Kasey and I have pink pads on our paws, but Kate's are purple, and while her color is solid, her tail has faint rings on it. Strange. Very strange. Her ears are bigger than ours, and her face is more pointy. Kate tends to look a little angry most of the time, but I think it is the way her face is made. Anyway, we are three different cats with different looks. I would tell you about our personalities, but I am the only one who is normal. At least I think so. TTYL, friends.

Pouting Cats
We were all set for a visit from Aunt Heather and Uncle John. They are so much fun, and they love us even more than Kate. Then something happened that made Kasey and me have to pout. You see, He had not been feeling very well. He was supposed to go to visit some people who work on His project. All day He felt kind of pew, so He called the people and changed the meetings, and He went to lie down until He felt better. Here's the pout part. We were in the bedroom with Him, with the door closed. We had to sit in the bedroom and hear all the fun. Aunt H. and Uncle J. brought two of their pet rats. Kate got to see them, but we didn't. She came to let us out, but with Kate out there, we didn't want to go. You remember, we are still working on that. So we had to miss all the fun. And to make it worse, Mazie's biggest sister came over, too. We don't know her very well, but it would have been nice to meet her. That girl is a special teacher, just like Her, and it tickles Her pink just to talk to her. Well, it is too late now. Everyone is gone but Him and Her. She says we are allowed to pout, but to be sure and be over it by bed time. She is not very big on pouting. He got up too late to go get Her medicine, but She has enough for tomorrow, so She just wants Him to keep feeling better. From the sound of things, tomorrow will be a busy day. I'll tell you about it tomorrow. Cheers, everyone - including us!

Fix-Up Cats
You probably don't know that They have lived in this house about a gazillion years. They have had two dogs here, and a cat before Kasey and me - and then Kate. In the course of this long time, They have had some changes. The dogs messed up the walls, so they put those part-walls up to make it look better. The ceiling got some cracks in it from an old hurricane, which is a bad storm. They had those fixed and had a new roof. They used to have a little place to sit out in the back, but that blew down as well. For a very long time, They had a little house out there. I didn't see it when it was new, but all the time I have been here, it was shabby and rusty and looked kind of bad. Well, today Their favorite fixing guy came and took a bunch of rust off of it, and painted it white. It looks brand new. He is chuffed, because He keeps stuff out there. When she lived outside, Kate used to go and hide in there when the weather was bad and her people weren't home. Kate was very interested in watching the guys paint the little house. She was glad to see they didn't harm her old hiding place. He is in a fixing-up mood and She just admires everything. Mostly, She stays by Her computer or in Her comfy chair.
We thought our Uncle John and Auntie Heather were coming over today, but they didn't make it. Those two have so much to do when they come to town. He and She understand, but She loves their hugs. I'm ready for a snack, so I will bid you goodnight.

Knackered Cats
We were all kind of sleepy today. I think it was because those guys came to help him with his project and we had to stay out of their way. Kasey couldn't go to see what they were doing, because that's how she got out before, and I had to keep order, being the oldest. It means that Kate needed to keep her distance, from the guys, from me and from Kasey. Here's how an angry kitty tends to make a mistake. When Kate got up on Her lap to get pets, she bit Her. Oh, it wasn't very hard. We know Kate can bite really hard. but it was a mistake never the less. After She made Kate get down, the cat was grumpy. She found a patch of sunshine and went sleep in it. I hope she feels better when she wakes up. I'm surprised that She wasn't more grumpy, as well. She sent a package to one of Her girls, and they sent it back. Incomplete address they said. When She checked with the girl, She found out She missed one letter. What a bummer. She said She might as well have carried it to Philly - wherever that is - for how long this was going to take.
Dinner tonight will not be too exciting for me. They mix eggs up with a lot of vegetables and some meat, and call that dinner. Humans. You just never can tell about them. Oddy-ose, amigos.

Gifted Cats
Today She gave each of us a little bit of catnip as a gift. It was nice of Her, but I don't care for catnip that much. I prefer butter. But Kate and Kasey are a couple of cats who like their catnip. She has to give the gifts in separate places, since we haven't worked out all the friendship issues here. I think She thought the catnip would make us mellow. It doesn't make me feel mellow, so She didn't risk it with the two girl-cats. Now, all of us appreciated Her efforts, and Kate like the catnip most, but it reminded Her of how She loves to send gifts, and how sad She feels when people don't like what She got for them. She stopped getting anything for His mother, before she died, because it didn't matter what it was, the old lady didn't like it. When someone is feeling sick or very sad, She doesn't wait for their birthday, She just tries to cheer them up. Being cheered up is important to me, and I bet it is to you, too. The gift closet is getting more and more empty, as She cuts down on what She gets for Christmas and birthdays. She will always send gifts to Mazie, though. It is a good connection for those two people. Here is a gift for me. She is fixing fish tonight, and She fixed shrimp yesterday. The fish company sent a new batch, and that is what He likes to eat. I do, too, and making us happy makes Her happy. Thank goodness. Later, Gator.

Fair Cats
There seems to be a topic about whether girls are as good as boys. Here's the thing. In our house, He and I are the only boys. She, Kate and Kasey are all bossier than Him and me. She explains that you can't always go by our family, since a lot of guys think they are better, and make it hard for women and girl cats. In the big world, sometimes men get more money for doing the same job. Once She worked in a little school where that was happening, and when She asked, they told Her that the men had more expenses. If you know Her, you would know She didn't like that answer. Luckily, for most places She worked, She got the same amount of money. She feels like this kind of topic is so important that She almost talked my ears off. It was worth it, though, because I was getting snuggles the whole time. You know all the talk about voting? It turns out that women weren't even allowed to vote until right before She was born. That would have made Her very upset, so I'm glad they changed it. This is important about who is getting Their vote. Lucky for Him, He agrees with all of it, or He would be in big trouble. Same reason I give the girl cats plenty of room. You don't want mad girl cats around when you are trying to sleep.
The best thing about today is that She is fixing shrimp for dinner. The people who send their regular fish sent it, and it was Her most favorite thing in the world. A bargain. It smells good, too. Toodle Pip, guys.

Debating Cats
Today She explained to me that those arguments the guys have on TV are called debates. Debates is the way nice people say arguments. There is going to be another one of the arguments, I mean debates, tonight. From what I can get out of it, people ask questions, and the guys either answer or don't. A lot of the time they just say what they would have said anyway, whether or not it answers the question. These arg..debates take a long time, and they tell us what we already know, or what they want us to hear. I would rather be watching Animal Planet, but I'm not in charge of the TV. He and She already know which guy they like. In fact, They have already sent in Their votes. There is nothing the other guy could say that would change Their minds. If you ask me, They just want to see who wins the argu...debate. The first time, our guy was quiet and nice, but you are supposed to be noisy and pushy, so tonight They will see who is the noisiest and pushiest. It is easy to tell that in our house. Kate is the noisiest and Kasey is the pushiest. I am the quiet, nice guy, although I did chase Kate with a magnificent hiss a while ago.
The lunch She had from the place They went last night was kind of unusual. There were eggs in it, and some nice potatoes. There were two excellent sausages that She was willing to share, and some kind of cake-things that were rather sweet. We will be having dinner at home tonight, while we wait for the argum...debate. Aloha for now.

Healthcare Cats
The first two jobs today were about healthcare. She had to mail a package, too. But before that, Kasey had to go and see the cat doc. Since she came in from her zany weekend out in the Big World, Kasey has been sniffling and sneezing. Although the doc said it was a virus, and there is no medicine for it, He and She thought Kasey needed a good look from the cat doc. Kasey was not at all pleased to get into the carrier and go on a car ride to the doc. Kasey meowed very loudly, but He and She did not let her out of the carrier. The people at the cat-doc-place were very nice, and Kasey got a good examination and two shots. Actually, she is in very good health, and the sniffles should go away soon. The next trip was to the thumb doc. They took off His big blue bandage and put on a new one. His thumb is healing just right, the doc said. They were gone a long time, but it was because He and She stopped to get some good things to eat. Of all things, He wanted a waffle. Here's some great news, the place where they make the waffles gives you one dinner free if you are as old as They are. It made Her very happy to go to that place, and She brought half of Her dinner home. AND the package got mailed. It has made Her tired out, but She is happy and full of good food. I won't get to share until tomorrow at lunchtime. I can hardly wait. Sy-o-nara, folks.

Respectful Cats
One of these days we will have to do something about Kate. It is time the little mischief learned about respect. There is this rule that we learned when we first came here, and that is to don't do what you wouldn't want done to you. We don't scratch, unless it is an accident with our back paws, but we don't have claws in front, so that one is kind of easy. We know we are not supposed to bite, except for those little tease bites that say I love you and I want to play. We don't yow very loudly at Them, because we don't want Them to be loud with us. Actually, He is still working on that rule. Kasey does not yow back at Him when He hollers, and that helps Him calm down. We share our kibbles and our water, and don't chase each other away when we try to eat. We learn to respect everyone's space. Kate does not get this. Kate comes in the bedroom and into the closet, even though she doesn't let us come into her favorite areas. I have tried to chase Kate out, but it only works sometimes. If She chases Kate out, the little cat waits very close to the door. He got some stuff to spray around and it works sometimes, but mostly He forgets, or Kate doesn't care. If you have any good ideas on how to teach our new sister some respect, let me know, because I am a lover, not a fighter, and besides, Kate has claws. I'll let you know how the progress goes. Chow.

Adapting Cats
My advice to you is don't get so used to something that you think it will always be the same. It turns out that we have to live with changes every day. Sometimes it is about changes that are very small, and it almost feels as though nothing is even different. Sometimes the change is so big that you have to go and live in another place. The thing is, it is a waste of time to fight the change, and if you go along with it, that is called adapting.Kasey and I have had to adapt to a new situation when Kate came here to live. The one with the biggest change was Kate. She used to have a family with a dog and two busy kids. She was outside mostly, or in the garage. Now her life is more quiet and I think she misses the fun outside - but she never tries to get out. The change made her act like the boss of Kasey and me, and even now there are some times when we have a little yow-session. Kasey still goes to spend time with Him in His office. I don't get to spend so much time with Her, but I still get pets and snuggles, and plenty to eat and drink. It is much better than living outside, where there are dogs and strangers. What She says is that She wishes humans could adapt as well as Kasey and I did.She says that if people would realize everybody has certain things they have to do, and learn to count their blessings, they would be happier. The hardest thing is missing people. She says. She misses some people every day, Some are gone forever, and some have moved very far away. I say that if you can't change it, you have to adapt. TTYL.

Treat Cats
Wait. Before I talk about treats, I have to finish up about last night. Remember - there was this argument with two guys who want the same job. If you wonder who won the argument, He and She say Their guy did. Some of the people who like the other guy say he won it. I can't wait until all this arguing is over.
Now, here's the thing about treats. Kasey and Kate just love treats, and they jump around and beg for them. I don't care all that much for treats, since I prefer pets and snuggles. Kate is getting to be such a roly-poly cat that He calls Kate Butterball. That makes me laugh, because she used to be little. He thinks Kate should go on a diet. That means he shouldn't give her so many kibbles. As long as Kate begs for treats, though, I don't think a diet will make any difference. Treats have not made Kasey fat, but she does have the sniffles. I think she caught them when she went sneaking outside last week. If Kasey has to take medicine, I hope it is in the form of a treat.
My treat is that She is fixing that pink fish for dinner. I just love that. So long for now.

My treat is that She is fixing that pink fish for dinner. I just love that. So long for now.

Business Cats
Right now, we are all about business at our house. His projects are turning into a lot of busy things, and that's why they call it business. He has the guys that come and work on one thing, He has a lady that comes to work on another. He makes about a gazillion phone calls each day and tells people about His project and what He needs help with. Sometimes She just shakes Her head. She told me She would do things a little differently, but then I think She wouldn't start projects at all. There are some things She would do if She still felt peppy and could walk better, but those things would be about kids. I need to write a book, Cofs, She said to me. I bet She could write a book about Her adorable cats. She could take a lot of pictures and just write a few words. Somehow, I think She would rather just work puzzles, write to Her friends and watch TV. At least She wouldn't be wearing us all out by doing that.
Tonight there is a show on TV about two guys who want to get votes. They will be arguing about who deserves the votes. She likes one of the guys and already voted for him, but He and She will watch anyway to see who wins this argument. Kate will probably get on Her lap unless She hollers at the TV. I'll tell you about it tomorrow, if I remember. Toodles.

Playful Cats
Today I was brave and came out of the bedroom and all the way in this room without being nervous. It made Her so proud to see that. She didn't have to carry me or anything. One of these days I'll get my whole house back. Kate isn't even that interested in fighting. Mosty she is just being playful. I had a good time being playful today.
It turns out that She was playful, too. It was the day that She has lunch with Her beloved Crones. She calls that Her good medicine. The Crones eat lunch in a place where you can get anything you want to eat, but you have to walk up and down to get it. Cleo'sMom had to go and get food for Her, and everything was exactly right. She was chuffed with Her nice lunch. She felt strong enough to go and get Her hair cut, which makes us all happy, because we are tired of hearing Her tell us how long Her hair is and that She looks like Cousin Itt, whoever that is. Other people think it's funny, but I just snerk. So She looks OK tonight and tomorrow will start talking abut something else.
Because She was so full of good food with Her Crones, She wasn't too hungry for dinner, so They decided to just snack. No fish was involved, so I will wait patiently for another day. Ah-dyoo.

Snuggle Cat
Of all of the cats that live here with Them, I am the only one who likes to snuggle. I don't get a chance as much as I used to, with Kate taking over Her lap a lot of the time. Kate isn't there to snuggle. She is there to get pets on her head. If someone tries to pet her tummy, Kate gives them a little nip. Not a real bite, but kind of a message that says don't pet me there.I guess one time someone petted her tummy and they took away some of her insides. Kasey had that operation, too. Maybe that's why Kasey is not so fond of some pets or snuggles.I had an operation as well, but they didn't cut open my tummy. To tell you the truth, I don't remember it very well.
It has been a nice, restful day, and She does not have to fix dinner. He went and got Her one of those enormous sandwiches that has meat and cheese and olives on it. He and She love olives, but I don't care much for them.
The boys did not come to work today, so it was just a quiet, peaceful day for snuggles and pets. Chow, kids.

New Day Cats
It is nice to have all three of us cats at home and feeling fine. I am getting more brave every day. He wonders what Kate will do if she sees me on Her lap, but I know She will take care of me, and not let any scratches happen. We have been kind of quiet today, because those people are here helping him. I think it was them coming in and out that let Kasey out, but today She told them to be careful, and they are nice boys, so they will.
This is one of those special days that humans have. It is supposed to be about a man that claims he found this country. People don't agree with it, but they still have the day. I guess it is so they can have sales, and the guy that brings the mail gets a day off.
I have to laugh at Her, because She really doesn't like to fix nice dinners anymore. She has some meat melting from the freezer, and She wants to fix it with onions and red pepper, which She will have to slice up Herself, because of His sore thumb, and She really doesn't like cutting things up. I know it will be worth it, because the meat really smells good. Kind of like pizza meat.
The weather is cold here at night, and the boys came in big coats and hats. I know I wouldn't think of going out. She doesn't think it is cold at all, but then, She doesn't go out very much. It must work, because She didn't fall down all week.

Kasey Found
This is just the best news I ever had in my life, except when They chose me to take home. Remember, They brought Kasey along at the same time. She is a very particular cat, much more than I am, but we learned to be friends - brother and sister. When Kasey decided to sneak out one day, They searched and searched, but couldn't find her anywhere. We all puzzled about how could Kasey get outside, so we looked in every nook and cranny of this house. It was good luck that Uncle John and Aunt Heather came to see us, and Aunt Heather made posters and looked all over outside. To tell the truth, I was afraid a dog had found Kasey, because she doesn't have claws anymore. Neither do I. We would be easy for a dog to bite. But the happy news is that a dog did not bite Kasey. The cold night didn't get her, either. She had found a place to hide, and Aunt Heather spotted her fur, and everyone rushed out to get her. Well, She didn't rush anywhere. But He and She were happy, Uncle John and Aunt Heather were happy, but the happiest was Kasey. It is a cold, hungry, thirsty world out there if you are a little cat who is used to her comfort. We are dancing with happiness. Well, She isn't dancing, but She is plenty happy. Thank you for all your kind thoughts. They made me feel better, and saved Kasey's life. Cheerio!

Two Cats
I was sure my sister Kasey would turn up by now. I wonder if someone tried to pick her up? Good luck with that, because Kasey does not like to be touched by anyone but Him, and maybe Aunt Heather. I wonder if she is getting some food, and a drink of water. I am so lonesome for her, but so far, no sightings. Some of Her friends say Kasey will find her way home. They told Her to put one of His shirts outside, so Kasey can smell it and find her way back. It is almost certain Kasey has gone outside - but He and She can't imagine when. It is as if Kasey just disappeared into thin air. Kate'sOldMom was worried that it was Kate's fault, but it wasn't because Kasey doesn't bother about Kate unless she comes into His space.
Today He and a modeling friend went on a long trip to go to a convention about airplanes and models of things. They left while it was still dark and drove for some long time. He called Her to say He got there just fine. He told Her He sold some of His models and so He didn't waste money going on this trip. She says He will be home in time for dinner. They will probably go and look for Kasey for a little while. If They don't find her, there will just be Kate and me. (sigh)

Where's Kasey?
This is a big mystery around here today. My sister, Kasey, is nowhere to be found. From the time we woke up this morning, we have looked everywhere. Remember, Kasey and I do not go outside. We have not done so since we came here to belong to Him and Her. They promised the esspeeceeay that we would be inside cats, and so we have been. They would not even let Kate go outside, and Kate was an outside cat. It is a big surprise to me about how sad and lonely I have been feeling without Kasey. She and I have never been snuggle-friends, even though we did not fight. What She says is that Kasey is aloof, except for Him. Kasey just loves Him. It makes Her sad, too, because Kasey is His special cat, just like I am Hers. I'll let you know how this turns out.
One thing that lightened Her heart today was having lunch with LW'sMom. It has been a very long time since She has seen this special person, and in the meantime LW'sMom has gotten to be a real minister. It makes Her burst with pride. That is just a saying. She doesn't really burst. The lunch tasted good. So good, in fact, that She didn't bring half of it home, like She usually does. She is not even interested in having much to eat for dinner. Guess what LW'sMom brought to Her from a trip? If you guessed a bag with lots of cats on it, you would be right. She is completely chuffed about it. Well, I will have to tell you more about Kasey tomorrow. If you see her, tell her to come home. Chow.

Yummy Tummy Cats
Oh, how full Her tummy is, and Her heart, as well. After some serious snuggles with me, She got all ready and scooped up Rocky'sMom, and they went to a place kind of far, but not too far. It was very crowded, so She knew it was a splendid place to eat lunch. She was even happier when Hana'sGran came to the place, and the three ladies sat and ate nice food and did Her favorite thing - they talked. She loves talking with Her friends, and when there is good food, She told me it is like catnip to Her. Of course there was food to bring home, because She needed to save room for dessert. That is the sweet stuff you get when you finish your lunch. When She was little, She said, She couldn't have any dessert unless She finished all Her regular food. Now She just brings it home. Don't worry. She will finish it.
Meanwhile, He had some people to come and help Him with His project. They were nice young men and a young lady. I can't tell you much about them, because I went into the closet. He is glad to have someone that can do all the making for the project. It is hard enough for one person, but especially when you have a blue bandage on your hand.
There is nothing like time with Her beloved friends to make things just right for Her. I am so glad, because She was beginning to turn into a grumpy lady. Not a good thing. Aloha, guys.

Planning Cats
There were lots of plans in today's activities. He has things all ready for his project, and He is having trouble finding workers. That requires about a gazillion phone calls. He is also planning a bunch of meetings and is in kind of a frenzy. Not the yelling kind of frenzy, but a planning kind of frenzy. I get the feeling that She is ready for the house to turn into a kind of mad house for the next days. This has happened before, She told me, and She did not have a look of a person that is happy. Well, She will have some time with Hana'sGran and Rocky'sMom to cheer Her up tomorrow, and maybe even LW'sMom later on. She usually loves to be home here with us, but She said, Cofs, I need to get out of this squirrel cage. This project stuff is driving me crazy. At least His thumb is OK, even if it is in a hard bandage.
Tonight there is a show on where the two guys who want to be in charge of the country are having an argument with each other. She plans to watch it, but He thinks She will get all upset. She likes one of the guys, and doesn't like the other, so if they say mean things, She might have to turn off the TV and Read a book. She said all the planning and meetings have gotten on Her last nerve. I think She should take care of that one nerve She has left, and I will give Her some snuggles and tell Her so. Some nice chicken for dinner might help. Well, anyway, Cheers.

Healthy Cats
There is a very nice lady who has been coming here to visit with Her and talk about health. That is about how you feel. You know She has trouble walking around. Her Knees hurt Her almost all the time, and She is always afraid She will fall. The lady asks Her questions, and has given Her some very good advice. The other thing about this lady is that She is fun to talk to. When she comes to visit, she doesn't care if things are in a clutter, or dusty. It makes Her very relaxed. I have listened to their talks, and I think it is because She gets to talk about Herself quite a lot. Some people like to talk about themselves Since it is so hard for Her to go out to visit, it is fun to have someone come and listen to Her.
He was busy today, and was on the phone quite a lot. This project of His is keeping Him very busy, and so He isn't thinking so much about His thumb accident. He seems to be hiring people, and He wants people who have been in the army and other kinds of soldiers. He also told the people who send Him helpers that He wants to hire a woman as well. I guess humans are fussy about being fair to everyone. At least He is, with his hiring. He seems close to having a project to sell one of these days, and that will make Her very chuffed. I must go and see what She is getting ready to fix for dinner. She may need my help. Toodles.

Calmer Cats
It was much nicer today, since things were much more calm. Everything worked the way it was supposed to. It is OK that I had a couple of rumbles with Kate, because they are almost like playing now. Then He and She went back to the doc that fixed His thumb. It didn't make Her faint to see it now since it looks quite fixed, and She said the doc and his people put a hard shell on his hand and arm. I wondered why it had to go so far up on His arm when it is only His thumb, but She says the doc wants to be sure that it doesn't move at all. They left enough of His fingers out so He can still use them to eat, and to write, if He has to. They came home to eat Their lunch and to play with Their cats, and the rest of the day has been quite smoothe. A man came to see Him about His flag part of His project. He wants people who have been in the army and stuff to work on that project. I'll ask Her more about it and tell you what they will make. He is not going to let a little thing like a nearly-ruined thumb keep Him from His ideas.
Now They will just have a nice dinner and a quiet evening. No yelling, no yowing and no bad words. A really calm day and night. Cheers.
