Catnip Cats

The mail guy brought the most marvelous thing today. The package was little, and we didn't pay much attention to it at first, but it had a kind of interesting sniffle to it. Kate was the first one to jump up and check it out. She sniffled it and pushed it with her paw, and then with her head. You can imagine how interested I was, because I had a shadowy feeling about the package. Kate and I jumped on Her and fussed until She opened the package. Inside were some little round balls, as big as a meatball almost. She gave one to Kate, who totally went all crazy-cat on Her. She danced with the ball, she pushed it, she licked it, she even bit it. I was fascinated, so I went over to check it out. Just so Kate wouldn't fight with me about it, I lay down right on top of the ball. Kate just looked at me with funny eyes. Kate's eyes are usually green, but now they were almost all black. I wiggled the little ball out from under me - and what do you know. It was made completely out of catnip!  I played with it awhile, and then Kate had a turn. the ball got knocked under a table, but she got it out. So here's what I learned. This ball is made for playing, for licking, for biting and for swallowing. I am totally amazed. I found out She has one for each of us. Kasey hasn't seen hers yet, but Kasey loves catnip, which is a surprise to Him and Her. It is the only time you will see Kasey acting like a little clownie. What a surprising day.
As for dinner, She and Rocky'sMom  went to a nice place for lunch and She brought home those tasty little bones. After She bites the meat off the bone, She gives it to me to lick. Nommmm. I expect we will have the nice juicy meat tomorrow.  She didn't fix it last night because He forgot to cut up the onions. I hope you had a nice day, too. Chow.
