Remembering Cats
When I think of how I learned so many things, my mind gets foggy about the time before the Esspeeceeay. I know those old people had my claws taken off, and I remember that it hurt, but it doesn't hurt now. There seems to be something about loud noises, and some scary stuff, but I can't put my paw on exactly what it was. I was very scared when the Esspeeceeay people put me in a cage. They were very nice to me, but there were other cats, and lots of unusual sniffles in the air. Kasey was already there, but she didn't care if someone chose her or not, because Kasey is like that. When He and She came to look for a new cat, They looked at Kasey and me. He liked Kasey, but She thought Kasey wasn't very friendly. She wanted a cat She could cuddle. Kasey didn't like cuddling then, and she doesn't like it now. Auntie Heather says Kasey cuddled with her, and she gets kind of lovey with Him, but She has never seen that side of Kasey. They liked how big I was, and how loudly I purred. When They could not make up their minds, the esspeeceeay lady said He and She could have both of us for one price. That was smart of them to do, because Her favorite thing is to get a bargain. He paid the money and the people put us into boxes to ride home. Booth Kasey and I were nervous about riding in the car, but Kasey made up her mind to escap0e, and without any claws or anything, she made a hole in the box big enough to get out of. It was lucky that She spotted Kasey trying to open the window, so She got hold of her and held Kasey on Her chest. If Kasey would have had claws, She would have been shredded. When we got inside, we both went under the furniture. It took a while for two scared, hungry cats to feel safe here, but now, all this time later, we love it here. We love Him and Her, and we are getting used to Kate. One day I will have to find out what Kate remembers. It all turned out just fine for all of us. Good night, now.
