Appreciating Cats

Yes, Kasey and I are in the mood to appreciate things today, although it is not so easy getting Kasey to admit she appreciates things. Kasey, you remember, believes she is a goddess, and of course all the nice things should come to her. But with the situation of Kate moving in here, and then running off, even Kasey admits that she likes having free run of the house again, and even Kate's old toys. In my opinion, Kasey doesn't know what she is missing. Although Kasey get snuggles from Him, it is not even close to the snuggles I get from Her. To begin with, I get my wake-up snuggles. No matter how sleepy She is, She takes time to give me pets and skritches. Then , I get my butter from off Her fingers. Some days I get a lot, other days I am happy with just two or three. I appreciate getting all the fingers of butter that I want. Next She reads the paper. If I step on the paper, or attack it, She just laughs and moves it to where She can see it. I generally help Her with Her to-do list after breakfast, and She appreciates that. I know She loves to brush my hair off the furniture, even if She makes sounds like tsk. I am glad I can check everything on Her computer, and look at the cute cats that people put on there. None of the cats is as cute as I am, but they do try hard to be their best. Today there was a picture of my Uncle John with a kitten that looks just like me. Very cute.Then, when Her question asking program comes on, I get the computer to myself, just like now. Then it is time for my rest in the sun spot on the floor by the window. After that I get a couple more snuggles before we fix dinner. I appreciate when it is fish or pizza or meat with gravy.  When you come to think of it, you can find things to appreciate about every hour. I like doing that, and so does She. In fact, I think I'll go get some snuggles right now. She and I will both like that. Sy-o-nara.
