Strong Cats

There is more than one way to be strong. It is not only being able to jump up on high places, or run faster than your sister, or dragging a heavy thing across a room. Sometimes you have to be strong inside. If so many sad things happen that you want to just go have a nap and forget about it, you have to be strong on the inside to keep going. When Kasey got out and He and She need help to find her and bring her home, I needed to be a strong cat and hope for a good ending of the problem. He and She are doing that right now. First there was a big explosion at that race far away, where Her Moxie lives. So many people were hurt and it spoiled a nice race that is very famous. No one knows who did it and the TV is getting a lot of it wrong. Then, last night a place near where Smudge'sGirl lives just exploded and wrecked a lot of the town , including the schools and people's houses. She told me that She could hardly stand all this bad stuff, and She just wanted to go to bed and cover Her eyes and stay there until people learn to be nice. The blowing up at the race was on purpose and the one closer to us was an accident. That didn't help Her feel better, because there didn't need to be an accident if the guys who run it would have been more careful. It hurts my heart to see Her feel so very sad. She was twice as sad as I have ever seen Her before. Come on, I told Her. There are people who need you to be strong inside. People expect you to help fix all this trouble and not just give in. So She got busy and wrote some letters and gave some money and decided that She was strong enough to keep going. She needs to be fine for Rocky'sMom's birthday party, and for lunch with Hana'sGran next week. Those things will keep Her going and make Her feel stronger. What would She do without Kasey and me? What would She do without Her pals? I will go and give Her some extra snuggles again, and help Her stay strong. O-re-vwar.
