Plants Cats

One thing Kasey and I both like is to nibble on plants.  Since we live inside, He gets us little boxes that grow plants and we get to eat them when we want to. Kasey really likes them more than I, but both of us are kind of happy to have the chance, since we don't go outside. Last night He, She and I watched a show about plants and it told us that plants have pain when we bite them, and that they give out smells to tell us how they feel. The program said that the grass is so upset when it gets mowed that it gives out a smell of newly mowed grass, which is a smell special to grass. It showed how plants sent out signals to bugs and birds when a caterpillar  tries to eat them. The bird or the bug gets the signal and comes and eats the biter. Sometimes one kind of plant takes over another kind  like a little war, and the guys who have cows and sheep have to stop them.  I noticed that He thought it was fascinating, and She thought it was ridiculous. They didn't actually fight about it, but She said it gave too much credit to a plant. Since plants don't have brains and nervous systems, how can they feel pain? She says it is because of something called evolution that plants have developed the way they are, and it is nature, not plants that figure all these things out. If they have smells, it is because nature gave them smells. In the end, He said He saw Her point, and They watched the next show. I will still eat that grass that He gives us, because I agree with Her.
I will go check on what She took out of the freezer. I hope it is fish, but I'll have to wait and see. Sy-o-nara, readers.
